Very true. And I will. Am down 10 of those extra 15 lbs already. Want to discover the missionary zeal I had when I was on this site last time. It was so productive... Thanks

Its the only way my friend. Giving up all the food naughties is bad enough, but a nice drink as well? No chance. I love my wine, and build it into the calorie count. Tonight I did 40 mins on the cross trainer so I dont have to feel guilty about the bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc...

They most certainly do. That beast of mine is a 17.2 hand Irish Draft cross. He can carry up to about 17 stone, but I wouldnt want to be more than 15 stone on him. Most stables dont like you riding at above 90kg (200lbs)

Naturally, I meant the owner, not the horse.

A male non-sexist, non-pervy view point... 140lbs for your height seems perfectly normal to me. My partner is 5'4 and 138lbs, and looks fabulous. Women look so much more attractive with smooth curves rather than bones sticking out. It is so depressing to see perfectly healthy, active women stressing about their weight…

Dont know how true it is, but selective sheep breeding in Turkey now produces lambs with three foot long conical legs, and no joints in the bones. Very handy.

Mrs McF. If you weren't married.... And I wasnt in love with my gorgeous partner..... One hell of a sunday morning discussion we could have....

He's spot on. If you open a bottle, finish it. Else its fine for cooking, but not drinking.

Come on Cristy. Just build it into your total. I love wine, would never give it up. But just need to work it off. Im down 15 lbs in a month. This is exercise and good eating, not sacrifice of my two glasses a night. Dieting should still be fun. Not denial. Eat, drink and be merry. But be prepared to sweat it off. Thats my…

OK. I'll get the demijohns, Ricki, can you supply the grapes??

Well isnt that something. Every respondent here is female as far as I can see. You girls love your wine. And as an admirer of the female mind and intellect, ( body too, but lets not go there) I sense kindered spirits. Tommi, mead? Good lord. I think the secret with a good bottle of wine is never to cork it. Sacriledge.…

Re-corking a bottle? How does that work then? Sounds way to scientific.

If ever the was a gap in the market.......

Yeah, But the headache? Dont get on with red wine. Now. if only they made a low calorie white, that didnt taste like mouthwash....

Blimey. You sound a useful bloke to know. I exercise now 4-5 times a week, usually a 5k row, 5k on the static bike and about 50 pathetic sit ups. On the basis that that covers arms, legs, and the middle bit. Not very scientific I know. I also power walk and ride my horse occasionally. Does this qualify as being…

mmm. Well as I am neither a bodybuilder nor an athlete, but someone who just wants a shape that isnt circular, all I can conclude is that i must be very dense.

According to the tool on here the healthy range is 18.5-25, ie for me, 144-194 lbs. Even when in my twenties, being fit and slim with little body fat excess I was 195lb. Still outside of 'healthy'. Bizarre.

Give it a try. I'll friend you and you can let me know what you think. Just dont add salt, the anchovies have plenty.

Thanks, request accepted.

Just a matter of horsepower I guess. Though Im not sure what damage Id do to a Harley's suspension.

Go for it. Nothing worse than your daughter calling you 'podge' trust me. Best of luck.
