Robin thank you for the info. I am tracking my bp and will report to my dr and see if meds should be adjusted any more, Fitness is to keep doing the squat challenge, added stomach exercixes every night this past week and have committed to walking three days a week in addition to my Silver Sneakers class at the gym. Excited…

Wonderful weight loss. Thanks for sharing your success. It keeps me motivated I like the below caloried challenge. I set my calorie limit at 1400 calories a day. Sugar grams under 50 and 6 20 grams carb servings a day. The challenge will keep me on line for what I have set for myself. Did my Silver Sneakers class today. A…

I was pre diabetic about 8 years ago, 5'5" and weighed 170. My cholesterol was 229, sugar was 125. I went home and got rid of ALL dairy products, switches to soy/almond milk and added fiber to my diet at every meal. After 6 months I had lost 8 lbs, but my cholesterol was 169, glucose was 90. My dr. was astounded, but yes…

NK welcome to this post. I love this post because everyone encourages you to keep on trying and more importantly doing to get results and that seems to be what you are doing, you are doing things that work and you are losing weight. On one of the posts I read, I think it was Allison who said staying the same and not losing…

I know i have been down that same path; we all have. You seem to have the right attitude. Basically just go with the flow and know that tomorrow will be a new day for you to enjoy. Thankfully the doldrums do not last forever, and if they do you should seek medical attention.

Good for you that you want to do this! You will come to love it and the way your feel when you are done is such a confidence and esteem builder. Go for it and use that membership.

Everyone has such grit on this site. Terrific! Goals I have written down in my keep it honest book Gym twice a week with my Silver Sneakers class for an hour 28 Day Squat Challenge for beginners 50 flatten stomach exercises each day; getting a TV set up in my room this week so I can do dvd's and have cable etc every day…

Well you have to wait 6 weeks for a go ahead from you dr. My daughter had an emergency c section with her third child, sort of put her in shock she was so surprised. That was the day of her induction. That was in October 9, 2013. She began her food and exercise plan in January. She bought a book for measurements and weekly…

Sometimes it takes a while, like years to get rid of emotions, and sometimes fat is just a symptom for those seelings. Dance Of Anger is a great book for opening up to self.

Don't worry about food, but try some new exercises or doing them in a differnet environment/

They are the same but do thy feel a certain way to you? Just curious.

It takes practice to love yourself and not beat yourself up for eating over your goal. It happens, but you will still be lovable by others; now start loving yourself and tell yourself you get to decide. Personally I try to eat the same breakfast and lunch each day and there is place where you can post that you want an…

JNettieohm I know what RLP is I just didn't know that it had a name. When I was 6 months into my third pregnancy I woke up one night in a lot of pain like am I in Labor? I told my dr. and he said 'Oh you are just getting old!' Thanks a lot. It really is ouchy painful; sorry you are having this, and yes, it gets worse with…

You seem to have unrealistic expectations. I went to a personal trainer twice a week for an hour and ugh it was hard, and she said it would take six months before there would be a visible change. I also lost 25 lbs during the process and no one said anything about my weight loss cause I had so much to lose it didn't even…

Walk every day and go a little farther every day to a two mile a day minimum. Eat the same breakfast and lunch menu everyday to lower your food stress. Keep your sugar grams under 35 grams per day, count all sugars, processed and/or those found in every food you put in your mouth. Give up all juices, diet drinks and drink…

Yes! What a feeling!

Great post idea and very informative and inspiring. 1. It is like marriage, forever. 2. Eat same breakfast and lunch menu everyday. Statistics says people who do this lose more weight. 3. Exercise every day 4. Weigh once a week only 5. Chart progress and goals and read them every day to stay accountable and never…

Lori, so great that you have planned ahead for your food. Now you just have filed it and can forget it and not stress about what you will eat when and where. Great that you have done that. Tanya, such pain you must be feeling. I remember that having 6 daughters; our fifth daughter and her boyfriend broke up and my husband…

Gosh, I don't think it matters if you are losing 100 lbs or 1lb it aint easy. I think I have been deluding myself into thinking that it is easy. Just the plod plod plod of the same set pattern can rattle a person. Someone defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. This is me to…

Hmmmm....you come across as a little girl and are looking for approval from anyone near you, hence the post. As someone once said A limp noodle never works for a backbone. You really really have to put him in his place. If he doesn't want you as you are, warts and all, and you know you will not be changing any time soon as…

SELU how are you and how is the diet? Loved cathcing up with your posits.....keep it up! Soosun

Dear KJ, you have lost a lot of weight. Frozen meals are great, but have you thought about trying the Atkins frozen dinners. I like them because they have a lot of protein and are quite filling. Carbs turn to sugar and if you have too much sugar it turns to fat, ergo weight gain. When I compare carb and sugar in ww dinners…

Um, what is RLP? Is this your first pregnancy? History?

Allison thanks for the words of wisdom on the tape measurements. I would like to keep track just to see if I am moving down the inches or up and use that as another indication that things are going in the right direction. You really can't have too many cheering sections on this journey! Sore today to good work outs…

Thank you for all the positive input with my beginning squat challenge. Today was a productive day. Today I took pictures of myself in my work out shorts and bra. Not pretty, but honest and shows what needs to be done. Took measurements also. Added goal of stomach flattening exercises each morning and squats either done am…

Weigh in today after my party weekend which was a lot of fun. Nice to revisit old college friends. Down side is eating birthday cake and just having a different path than normal. I am up three lbs not so good, but my waist measurement is down 2 inches for the last two months. I really need to find some good today. haha and…

Sticking to my 28 day squat beginners challenge. Feels great, have never taken a challenge so all new to me. I am going to look for a flat stomach with exercise challenge to start working on my flabby fat tummy. It will take time but I think I will succeed slowly but surely. Thanks for listening. Soosun

A personal trainer can make all the difference because they force you into a habit of consistency. I signed up for a silver sneakers class at the gym for two days a week. going to it perks up my day and makes me use all my body muscles. Plus it strengthens my self esteem such that I want to work the other days of the week…

The day is starting very nicely. I go to the gym today but have a rest day for my 28 day challenge. Working hard on making good food choices. Have a fun day everyone. Truth Still putting off doing exercised for tummy. Groan they are never fun. haha

vegas is so much fun and the Venetian is top drawer. The restaurants are wonderful and hopefully you will get to take in a show. I saw Bette Middler there a few years ago, but any show is great. Have fun. You will get in a lot of walking.
