This might help too: 1 lb. ground turkey 1 diced onion ( I use the food processor) Lots of HERBS. Cook it up in a cast-iron pan with some white cooking wine or water, or broth. Then you can dump off the fat and keep it in a bowl in the fridge, and it's easy to measure out and add to brown rice or whole wheat pasta, and…

Try laying the bacon out on a cookie sheet and baking it. Dump off the fat as it cooks, and turn it over a couple of times so it doesn't stick. Then you can get the most of your bacon with the least fat possible.

Why not set aside some time and prepare your meals for 2 weeks ahead of time? If I make a pan of healthy enchiladas then cut it up and freeze it in containers then I can just grab one before I head out the door. Then, if I make a batch of chili then I can freeze that up too, and switch off so I don't get bored. At night if…

Healthy meals can also be family friendly and filling and they will please your mother. I recommend HUGE batches of lentil chili with all kinds of veggies - celery, onion, carrots, cilantro - First of all it's cheap. REALLY cheap. Plus if you want you can just dice up some ham and throw it into the rest of the family's…

You might be dehydrated on top of the vitamin deficiency. I've been downing the hot green tea during the day so that I get all my liquids. At night I have decaf green tea. I get painful muscle cramps during my exercise, afterwards, and depending on what I did - the next day. Drinking enough liquids really seems to help !!

I'm not touting any one store, but the person who works at Whole Foods has a point. You can find stuff that's non-GMO and isn't all that more expensive than the other brands. I go to the store a lot more often these days, and make sure I have fresh apples at all times. I get the honey crisp ones and usually in the…

You could also add some to a bowl of chili and stir it up. Adds fiber and tastes good.

Ground chicken & brown rice enchilada casserole! Super easy - just put some salsa on the bottom of a baking pan, put a layer of corn tortillas, then some rice and cooked chicken, onions, whatever! Then put the tinest amount of shredded cheese to hold it together...then another layer of tortillas and then either enchilada…

It's really difficult to do this all at once. Read the nutrition labels of the stuff you have in your cupboards and it will horrify you. I've been working towards eating REAL food without chemicals for some time now. For a while there my weight just ballooned because it all tastes so good !! Now that I'm getting a better…

Find out what it is about vegetables you haven't liked. My husband detests overcooked, wilty stuff, but will just chug down the fresh crunchy stuff. The main is to be OPEN to change. If you keep doing the same thing, you'll keep getting the same result.

My advice (since you asked!) =) Buy less, more fresh, more often. Your health is important, so make time to spend chopping veggies and cooking meals that will be lower in salt (because they're fresher), and you'll enjoy them more. You can make a big pot of something good, like chili and put all kinds of vegetables in it…

The same thing is happening to me. Just about a pound a day. I'm eating all my calories and exercising and staying hydrated. I thought I'd gain at least water weight this week for pms but so far...? So it's kind of weird but my co-workers are nurses and seem to think it'll slow down eventually. Hope that helps!

This is what I do: Whole wheat shells, serving size is 3/4 cup uncooked. So I use 1/2 cup per serving, and cook until almost done. ground chicken, herbs, onion - precooked and ready to measure in. I do about 2 ounces per serving. use marinara sauce, cook everything together in a pot, and then serve up with about 1 tbsp…

Keep going! =) It's going to work now that you're adding your exercise. I switched to drinking hot green tea all day at work and I stay full, it's amazing.

I'm anemic :P I take iron every single day - but energy is a problem.

Sewing machine = cheap and fast tailoring. Get a shirt that fits you and put it over the one that's too big, and mark around it then sew and chop! Insta-better fitting. I LOVE the thrift store idea too.

Bummer! Your hubby can take a flying leap. :-) Hope you feel better soon.

drinking plain green tea keeps me warm and full throughout the day. One thing I've noticed is that I HAVE to plan my meals and eat on time. That way I don't think about it all day. snacks: Apples, toasted bagel w barely a scrape of peanut butter, handful of almonds. Also - some kashi w lowfat milk and a few almonds on top…

If you're commuting - just make a crapton of lower-cal foods and package them up to bring with you. I usually pick a day and just cook for like 2 hours and then I freeze everything.

I haven't seen the show but we're doing our own biggest loser competition at work with about $200 so far on the line. It's such a great motivator !!

You have to make the food easy enough that you'll actually eat it and tasty enough that you'll eat it instead of eating out. This week I have ground chicken enchiladas. =)
-
What has worked for me in the past (and I'm doing it again) is to make big pans of healthy, good-tasting food you can package up and heat in the microwave. Keep the high fat stuff to a minimum, and you're taking in a whole lot fewer calories than you would by eating out.

look up the "pinch and pin" method on You Tube (ore where ever) of quickly tailoring your baggy stuff to fit, especially shirts.
