That's as bad as a family whose last name was Tree that named their daughters Merry and Holly.

Had to stop weighing daily and logging once a week as in May a started having some fluctuations and they really go to me. When we went on vacation I saw that I had lost a few ounces and felt very good. Then it was back. I decided that If I didn't get back with things in a scheduled manner I would never make it to where I…

That is best idea. If you see they are starting to go soft, freeze for smoothies

Once again you have given me a chuckle to start my day. You are such an inspiration. I know the feeling of wanting a little color. That's why I mow wearing a sports bra when no one is around.

I am so jealous. You are having such a great time and I know from experience that you will do very well with the workouts you get in the pool. Spent lots of time in one after my first knee replacement. One word of caution. It felt so good that I would forget to get out and would overdo it. I didn't always do breast or…

The reason so many of your young children have messed up ideas about weight is because they are taught that their body has to be a certain way. The whole reason for losing weight should be to be healthier and more active so you can spend more time with your family. Be happy with the accomplishments that you have attained.

I was following a diabetic program and my sugars were too high. Staying with that program I chose to not track sugars. I found fiber was more important.

I find that by eating a wide variety for my meals gives me more of an idea of what I can do when we are out. Breakfast can be a bacon and egg sandwich with cheese, oatmeal with fruit and nuts, cold cereal with fruit and yogurt. We are getting ready for a week of vacation in the mountains. We will have a kitchen but my…

I have never been blamed, but have blame my husband( under my breath). When we started dating it was a whole need lifestyle for me. After every date we ate. We had pizza, hamburgers, ice cream you name it. At home there wasn't the extra money for such things. So like a kid in a candy store I ate everything offered. Kept…

I never enjoyed pb until I followed a diabetic 30 days of meals. One lunch is a pb sandwich with sliced apple and raisins. I could get the pb down that way and now use it quite often on toast as well.

What we did was to learn how to fix those great dishes. Saves money and also we learned how to cut some of the excess fat, sodium, and calories. I cut the portion sizes because the restaurant servings are far too large. When we do go out or order in a lot of times we order one serving and split it. Would I have thought of…

Is the 1200 cal something you set or that was suggested for you? I used to be told that a fine honed engine needed fuel. That doesn't mean unlimited, just enough to keep the engine running. If you are doing that much exercise then you are burning quite a bit.. Do you track your exercise and do you eat your calories back?

67 here. Love to snack and exercise is a dirty word. My movement comes in the form of cleaning and yard work. Have had both knees replaced and just now getting to where I can do more movement. Would love to be in contact with others of the same age group and interest. Don't knit but do do counted cross stitch and trying to…

This is not the first time his name has been used without his permission. I guess with his following everyone wants a part.

Anything that does it me first. I have found that if I eat the same things all the time I get very bored and don't stay true to what I'm trying to do.

Just read the La Llorna story and though you may not believe in spirits there are a lot of things to be learned from this story. Isn't that the way of most of the stories we tell our kids. NO

No one has mentioned stairs. They can be the basis of stepping and leg stretches. Had to use them for rehab with my knee and really got a workout from an 8 in step

Forget that a sandwich has two slices of bread. A sandwich, which most of your friends are eating, could be a wrap with turkey cheese and lots of veggies done in lettuce leaves or a tortilla. Sometimes we just have to make things look different and the calories will be better. It also doesn't get as boring as the same…

I try to wait until I have lost 5 pounds to have a day to myself. Sometimes it's a pedicure, massage or just window shopping. Of course that might include a little lunch and since the only thing close are fast food, it is usually a jr size sandwich at Arby's or just a single cheeseburger( Happy Meal Size) at McDonald's. No…

Maye if you changed your terminology from cooked to hot, your mum would understand. Hot could include; oatmeal, porridge, soup, and just smaller menus. Egg(whole) with toast and fruit, soup w/ fresh veggies, and standard dinner of meat or fish, hot veggies, salad. All of these are hot meals and cooked but not full…

Housework that brings a sweat or stretches my muscles and joints. Yes. The same with yard work. Having had two knee surgeries, a lot of the movements are about the same as my rehab was. After a while even getting us becomes an exercise.

I use whatever fruit sounds good and microwave it until it is the thickness I like. Just remember to use a cup about 3 times the size because it will boil over. No added water, sugar or maple syrup

Real anything is better than processed. I found that my system does not tolerate anything with artificial sweetners or fat replacements. Use the real thing just less of it.
