Weigh-in for me today is 196.8, which is down 1.8 lbs from last week (198.6). Slow but steady!!

Hang in there! It's okay to have an off week every now and then, especially at certain times of the month. Just try to stay within your allotted calories, drink lots of water and the weight should still come off -- and if not, then it's probably just water weight that will go away the next week. The bottom line is that you…

Welcome, Dani! While I didn't do any strength training on Wednesday, I made up for it today by doing 70 minutes of the Cathe Muscle Max workout. It's all strength, weights and abs, but really gets your heart pumping, so it's like getting a strength and cardio workout at the same time -- and it burns a lot of calories, too.…

Wow! Way to go!

Just checking in. I did 20 minutes of strength training in addition to other cardio on Monday. I was planning to do some strength yesterday, but I've got this awful head cold/sinus/allergy thing going on and didn't feel like doing anything! Hopefully I'll feel a little better later on today and can force myself to…

Way to go! Those plateaus can really be frustrating. I'm glad you persevered and got beyond it! Keep it up!

Wow! Everyone is doing so great! While I only lost about 1.8 lbs this week (which is actually my best week so far), I did make it into the 100s!!! I'm now at 198.6! Woohoo!!
-
I got 30 minutes of walking in today plus some other cardio. Woohoo! We'll see what tomorrow's scale will say!
-
You're welcome! Calories burned for weight training is a hard one to figure out. I'm glad this info was helpful.
-
You're welcome! No, it's not bad at all! In fact, it's great to mix up your cardio routines every now and then. As for the shoveling, unfortunately, the chart doesn't have a number for shoveling snow :ohwell: but if you have a heart rate monitor, I'd definitely wear it. I'm sure you can get a great cardio workout just by…

Please count me in for 40 minutes walking yesterday (Wednesday).

I bet your dogs loved it!!

Zero minutes of walking for me yesterday (Tuesday), but I'll get some in later tonight. I just got done raking leaves for 30 minutes and thought, you know, I need to count those calories burned, but how? I did a quick google search and found a website that helps you calculate approximate calories burned based on the…

Great job, Proudmama! I know how tough it is to eat healthy when you're on the road, especially when the conference lays out the yummy, but dreaded junk food spread. Keep up the great work! I'm logging in 45 minutes of walking today

Airports are a great place to get in lots of walking and, if you're trying to make a tight connection, it's a great place to get your heart rate up! Good for you for skipping the moving walkway! It's good choices like that that will help you reach your goal. Have a great trip!

Just checking in. Yesterday (Sunday), I walked for 30 minutes and then did a hour of cardio strength training. Have a great day, everybody!
-
Awestfall is inspiring. You are, too, Pegm! I don't know that I can keep up with that, but I've got 30 minutes of walking plus strength training (that really gets my heart rate going) planned for later on today. Woo hoo!

Way to go!!

Wow! That's impressive! Keep up the great work!

For anyone who likes to snack at the movie theater . . . My kids and I are headed to the movies this afternoon, and since I can never say "no" to popcorn, I've eaten pretty light today and did some research online in hopes of justifying this tasty treat. Here's what I found out about calorie counts for favorite movie…

Just weighing in for yesterday. I lost about .6 lbs for week 3, so my current weight is now 200.4. Considering last weekend, I'm happy with that. As for walking, today I did 30 minutes with Leslie Sansone's 2 mile Walk & Tone.

Today was much better! I got back into my routine after falling off the wagon over the weekend and had a super workout. 1896/2124

Okay, so can I just say, this was the worst weekend for tracking food for me ever. Confession time . . . My husband took me out for Valentine's Day, which was wonderful! I did a pretty good job of watching my portions, but it turns out that the restaurant we went to doesn't post or provide any nutritional info -- bummer.…

Okay, so I only lost .8 lbs this week, but I'll take it! I think I've got some added water weight that kicked in since I weighed a whole 1.4 lbs less yesterday morning and I've really been sticking to my calories and excercise. I even turned away decadent chocolate cake yesterday at a birthday party. Hopefully next week…

I got 42 minutes of cardio today (Thursday). Hopefully the scale will be kind in the morning!
-
I'll keep you in my prayers. That's a tough situation, but God is faithful! Regarding VOD, if you have COX digital cable, they have a bunch of exercise programs available in their FreeZone -- from Leslie Sansone's walking workout to yoga to step and more. It's great if you want something different to get you moving -- and,…

You all are amazing! I just finished 68 minutes of cardio circuit training (Wednesday). I really didn't feel like doing anything, but I had already eaten my exercise calories for the day -- talk about a motivator!! Pegm -- you're doing great, but you do need a chance to rest at least one day a week. That gives your body…

I got in 42 minutes of cardio today by Dancing with the Stars - cha, cha, cha . . .
