My boyfriend and I live on campus in a dorm, down the hall from each other, so naturally we at least ask if the other wants to go when we go to the gym. I go more often than he does, and sometimes he insists on not going when I do, but I'd say we work out together at least once a week. We help each other out. I'm trying to…

Fat's good for you. Don't be afraid to go over a little, or to have a higher fat goal. Besides, replacing the carbs with nuts is a healthy choice. Why worry about some silly numbers?

Honey sounds like a good sweetener for that, but it's really difficult to dissolve :\

iced tea. I can't/won't kick my diet coke habit but iced tea helps me cut down... a little.. sometimes.

i've got a thing for the parodic and political Say Anything Kick-*kitten* V for Vendetta Mean Girls They Live

Ooooh my parents got a new puppy last week! His name is Winston and he's a Westie. :)

Personally, if I were staying within my calorie limits I wouldn't really consider it cheating, just a little treat. A morale booster. If I'm going to cheat it'll be on liquor and pizza! :drinker:

Sounds negligible to me. I wouldn't count it at all.

My goal isn't to lose actual weight, it's to get down to around this level of body fat! I was 27.5% about a month ago but I'm checking again on Wednesday. My NSV: My quad sits on top of a set of grueling stairs known as the Tabler Steps. I've lived there for two years and no matter how many times I've walked up them they…

I wasn't in a totally healthy place when I was working out multiple times a day, but I was doing that to burn more calories. I think if they're different workouts it's totally fine. I'm gonna start adding yoga to my mornings as I usually go to the gym in the evening. :)

I'm using MFP to maintain while working out, so I eat about 1800 net calories a day. I didn't just finish losing weight so I'm not sure about that. Your maintenance numbers for your brand new weight will be lower than they were when you were heavier, so you're still eating less. You're supposed to start eating again…

elliptical intervals w/arms + a high resistance = workin my muscles really hard. all of them. i don't trust calorie estimates on a machine unless i put in my weight and possibly age and gender. but it's still an estimate.

I'm maintaining between 130-135lb. I'm 5'4", 19 years old, jeans size 5. But you don't need to compare yourself to anyone. (:

I'm not very well-versed in protein powder, but I got Biochem Raw Foods and Whey vanilla protein and it's pretty good. It was cheap too, I ordered it from Amazon.

Salsa or hummus.

I think there's a difference between full and satisfied... while veggies and water and other high-volume foods will make you feel full, the feeling doesn't last too long, and you start thinking about delicious food again. I suggest if you're having problems feeling satisfied, up your dietary fat. Have a spoonful of peanut…

I'm 19 now, I've dealt with depression since I was 12 and anxiety for the past 3 years. I've been eating healthy and getting my sweat on for only a month. I don't know what your personal issues are, but it would be worth it to wake up early and go for a brisk walk and eat a good breakfast. It really changes the feeling of…

I don't often cook for myself but that yogurt marinade sounds awesome. OP, you could marinate in any number of things and bake your chicken that way! You can even still bread your chicken, it just won't come out quite the same. Btw - look out for whole grain bread crumbs.

Pickles. Anything with hummus. Roasted salted nuts. Veggie chips/sticks. Potato chips aren't even that bad for you as long as you go natural, you could even make em yourself.

I reuse a disposable 24oz water bottle, so I don't have to refill it as often - three bottles a day gets me 72oz :) That's usually about my goal... I don't see any point in getting 100oz or more (unless I sweat a lot) but staying hydrated gives me more energy and such. Yep. Love water!

I live in a dorm. I had a scale once when I was a less healthy person... but it broke so I tossed it a while ago. There's a scale at the gym I use once in a while but I don't own one. Who needs it? The relationship between me and gravity is basically meaningless.

Well definitely take care of that with your doctor, but there's no reason you can't get a decent workout walking! Just walk at a brisk pace and maybe on some hills.
-
Wow! That's great!
-
Water? Probably water. Especially when you're first starting out getting healthy. But OP you look so good! Congrats!

Once you get rolling it'll be really hard to stop! Just gotta think of all the reasons you're doing it - for your family, for yourself. Being healthy is addictive, you're gonna love it :flowerforyou: you can add me if you like, i'm all about being positive!

Hiking through nature and hula hooping~

Just as far as the sleeping thing, if you have a smartphone I know there is an app where you can print out a QR code and put it somewhere, and the alarm won't shut off until you've scanned it. You can post it up in your bathroom or something so your butt is out of bed before you can turn the alarm off! I think on Android…

Supplements are bad. Healthy eating and exercise is good. If you want to boost your metabolism, drink some green tea and lift weights.

Speedy beat me to it. How much weight are we talking? Your weight fluctuates throughout the day and even the week depending on what's in your system. One weigh-in is basically meaningless. I really doubt that your "increased" intake is causing you to gain actual fat. Having looked at your food diary, it seems there are…

It's okay! Stay calm. You don't need to compensate (though if a workout makes you FEEL better, have at it.) Your body knows how to handle excess calories all at once. One binge will not cause weight gain. Just eat clean for the rest of the day and remember that in order to prevent binging, you need to stop depriving your…
