Good tip! I would also say to bring a healthy dish if you go to a party or over to a friend's house. (It would probably be more appreciated anyway... enough people will be bringing cookies!)

I'm excited to wear jeans! I wear a size 29 or 30 now. When I wore a 14, I couldn't fit into my size 32 jeans, which was the largest the store had. :grumble:

I've eaten it cold, similar to pasta salad. If I remember right, it had minced onion and bell pepper mixed in. Soooo goood!

I was going to say lunges too! I bet squat thrusts would also help.

Eat pork BBQ instead! haha

I wouldn't worry about stretch marks; they are so common. I've had em on my love handles since I was 11ish and didn't know what they were. :embarassed: They'll fade to skin color with time and really aren't that noticeable. You're very pretty, and it sucks that your coworkers tease you about your weight. That's not cool,…

I feel great! Worked out really hard at the gym... my friend got there before me and did 25 minutes of ellipticals before I was there, so we only did 5 minutes of cardio before the strength training machines. I feel awesome because after she left, I stayed and did 45 minutes on the stationary bike! Gym cardio is my foe --…

Trick yourself with something similar. In the past, I've eaten cereal (Raisin Bran Crunch) with chocolate milk to avoid ice cream... that's not the most low-cal meal either, but it took some willpower. I think people who like chips could snack on cucumber slices for something crunchy. Maybe you could try carrots and…

That reminds me, what are healthy water limits? 8-10 does not seem like enough for me. Is it cool to drink 13-16 of the 8-oz servings if they are spread throughout the day?

Oops! OK, so I have my scale back but didn't until Wednesday. My Wednesday weight was 145.6, down 2.4 from last week. PS -- Tigger, you're welcome here! I don't think anyone would flame you or mind that you joined after the show started. It's going to be like 13 episodes, so you've got plenty of time. PPS -- Suzanne,…

Make sure you drink plenty of water! I just started doing this and actually had to make sure I was eating enough sodium to balance out all the water that I hadn't been drinking before.

YES I agree! When I cut wheat almost entirely from my diet, I lost 15-20 pounds with little effort, and my stomach became a lot flatter. I also rarely get stomachaches now unless I eat too much wheat (I'll have a few bites from time to time). One another thing I'd suggest -- drink more water!! I just started this last week…

I love weighted hula hoops! It's fast, but a great work out. I just turn on Hulu and get to hulaing! I couldn't hula hoop as a kid, but the weight makes it easy to keep up. Just takes a few days of practice. Start slow (a few minutes) and build yourself up to a 10-20 min. workout, or you might get bruises on your hips.…

@Sarina -- That surprised me too! And it's kinda weird that we're not seeing very much of that team.

Sweet, I wanna join! I'm a little fuzzy on my exact numbers at the moment; my scale needs new batteries. :/ Lithium batteries, like a giant watch -- so my scale use has been a little sporadic lately, as I've had to borrow time at night. I started 2011 at around 150, and I'm at 148 as of last night. I'll shoot for 130 by…

You took it in a different direction! On that note, I'd say "ironically." People are so apt to say "ironically" when really "appropriately" would make more sense. Don't say "ironically" if something is not ironic! It's OK to go without a transition.

I used to work at Smoothie King, and we put a dash of honey in a lot of the smoothies. It's good!

You look much more mature now! I mean that in a nice way. PS - I like that you posed the same way in your afters as in your befores. :)
