What's calorie zig-zagging? I've seen that mentioned too but have no idea. Sorry - must be coming across as a complete numpty but I've never dieted so never needed to know this stuff!

Ah but since a teenage spell of an eating disorder I have had a slow metabolism anyway, and I have an underactive thyroid so never feel completely energetic. I've never eaten much so thought the exercise was all I needed to do to make the difference. I guess I was wrong!! Thank you for answers so far!

I lost about 7lbs in my first month but that was more down to a huge fitness kick I was doing.

I am going for a double hard push in May so I will be in! Is anybody able to keep track of how we're doing? Hi Greta, Which part of London are you in? Although you have a car, driving from one end of London to another could take 2-3 hours so it's not always worth it! Richmond is great for hiking if you are West.

Aaah see I didn't get any relief from it, just worse pain. It would have been masochism to make me do it again. Although I definitely need to try something new now.

Thanks! I try to keep positive. It could have been so much worse and there are people who DO have it worse and manage to keep going. A lot of people recommend acupuncture, I had it a few weeks after the accident and it was like being hit by a car all over again, so painful!! I wonder if I should try again but am so scared!

Hi, I've not looked for recipes but I would bet anything that there is a forum thread that has them. What I do find helps is when you start to get a few friends and supporters on here and not only can you get ideas from what they eat, but you can shout out for recipe ideas and somebody always answers. Hyperthyroidism? Or Hypothyroidism? I have the 2nd, my thyroid is underactive. I'm not sure you'll find many with hyper- on here but there are a few people with thyroid issues. What sort of issues are you having?

My sister eats when bored, I used to just find things to distract her. Is there anything you've always wanted to try but never had the time? Well you have the time. you THINK you don't look any thinner but you do. the people who know me well have commented to me even though I can't see it.
