Too much of anything isn't good. Although the case with diabetes really isn't valid. Fruits are high in fiber and fiber regulates blood glucose and insulin

I have a very strong metabolism, hence why I can maintain weight at about 4500 calories a day. Eating under 50 carbs a day is stupid in my opinion, if you are doing that then perhaps a post workout beverage is a good idea, but again I have no idea why anyone would be doing a keto diet

What machine you use doesn't really matter, as long as you are elevating your heart rate you are fine.

I think having a personal trainer is a luxury, not a necessity. With that being said you should definitely do some research on the person who is going to train you. Ask them questions such as their approach (towards your goal specifically), their flexibility towards sessions, and most importantly, you want to make sure the…

Not at all, I can tell you from experience (which I know anecdotal evidence doesn't mean anything), I eat around 1000-2000 calories and then go right to sleep almost every single night. Simply put, if you take more calories in than you burn, you store the excess calories a body fat, if you consume less calories than you…

Can you plz post the data from Ultimate Diet 2. If you were consuming under 50 grams of carbs for 5 weeks, yeah then it'd be possible to deplete most glycogen. I have 0 idea why anyone would be eating under 50 grams of carbohydrates a day. I can tell you damn sure cutting at 516 grams of carbs a day is a pretty simple…

I usually eat ~75 grams of fiber, which is far too much. I have an insanely strong appetite, and a high daily caloric goal, so fiber adds up extremely fast. If I hit my macros and I am still hungry (most days) I eat a lot of veggies which usually puts me over my daily fiber goal (55) by a lot. If you have trouble getting…

i consider myself a bodybuilder, I am losing weight at 4100 calories a day, I could care less about slow digesting v fast digesting protein sources (if I had to chose between the 2 I would chose fast digesting protein every single time of the day, due to protein refractory period being a very very very slight issue). To…

A simple weight lifting session is NOT going to even remotely "deplete" glycogen. Perhaps if you run a marathon every day, consuming 80 grams of fast digesting simple carbohydrates will be beneficial. For your average 45-90 minute weight lifting/cardio session, you aren't even burning an eight of your bodies glycogen…

Factually this is not true. Your body can digest almost any amount of protein at once (400+ grams, not that would EVER be necessary). Your body has an anabolic cap as to how much protein will be used to build muscle fiber, if you eat over that amount, it doesn't mean your body is going to get rid of the protein that wasn't…

Have you ever heard of protein refractory period ? Consuming protein all day is less beneficial than consuming it 3-5 times a day in moderately high doses
-
When you squat is knee valgus a problem ? Sonds like it could be causing that pain
-
The 30-60 minute window after lifting is complete nonsense. When you workout, you break down muscle fiber and deplete glycogen (muscle energy). Muscle protein synthesis is increased for 24-72 hours after working out. This means that your body responds more anabolically to amino acids in that 24-72 hour time period. After…

Perhaps walking in a grassy field would be easier on your feet. Tredmills can be pretty rough on your feet at times

Although this doesn't really apply to this thread, there are plenty of studies showing how high intensity cardio (85%+ max heart rate) is better for fat loss rather than steady state low intensity cardio (65% max heart rate)

Nope, fiber regulates insulin levels and is pretty much the only thing (to my knowledge) that prevents type 2 diabetes. Why do you think we are always told to "avoid sugar at all costs"..but then we are told to "eat as much fruits and veggies as possible". Fruits and veggies have tons of sugar in them (moreso fruits), but…

I would recommend you investing in an elliptical. No pressure on your feet, and you can use your arms to get your heart rate up quicker. If that isn't an option for you, make sure you have very protective, supportive shoes on and take it slow

A binge to me would be any 1 meal that put me greatly over my daily caloric goal. 3000 calories in one sitting is a binge for me, not to say I haven't done it before..

Do you have any form of lactose sensitivity ? My brother does and he will vomit anytime he touches whey protein.

Definitely keep a very very tight track on your daily fiber intake.
-
I don't know why you would want to do a ketosis diet. My main problem with extremely low carbohydrate diets is that if you are limiting the amount of total carbohydrates to under 50, or 100 in a 24 hour period, there is no chance in hell you are going to be able to get enough fiber. Fiber itself is a carbohydrate, and it…

I never track sodium, I go over my sodium every single day, try having 2500mgs of sodium when you have 4100 calories in a day, pretty sure its impossible to do
-
Eat whatever will fit into your macronutrient guidelines.

Keep tracking your food intake even when you get to your target weight. Once you get to your target weight you should eat at maintenance (increase your calories by 100-300) and you won't gain any body fat. Also high intensity interval training is great for keeping fat off, it should only take around 5-15 minutes (its not a…
