Hi ladies, hope everyone has had a good weekend, no matter the obstacles of daily life! I took my measurements on Saturday, I had thought about doing it last month but for some reason I just didn't feel ready. I don't quite understand what that was about, I know I'm at my heaviest at the moment so I'm prepared for high…

Thanks @SisuMom2019 ! Nice suggestion but no point in spending cash on work accessories just yet, I'll be working from home until later summer or autumn I'd guess, but I could save it for later :) Congratulations on your loss and great news about the biopsy.

Just took a look at the spreadsheet, we're doing really well Slimsons! Keep up the good work, and don't worry if you have a gain, slow and steady progress will get you back on track in no time :)

@Spotteddingo @goal06082021 @MuttiNM @Laughter_Girl thank you for the well wishes! Sending them back to you all in spades. I had pain and limited mobility in…

Daily Post (Wednesday) Track: Yes Calories: Yes Exercise: No Got some good news today - I finally got a permanent offer for the role I've been contracting for over the last year. That is a weight off my mind :) Let's hope it shows on the scale, especially as I didn't treat myself just yet!
-
Some good news! I got my job :D After contracting for a year I've finally been made permanent. It's a big weight off my mind and now it feels possible that we might buy a place here in the next year or so, which will really make the move to Ireland feel like home. Hoping you all have happy moments today!

I love this! Was just going to note that I agree with @goal06082021 re carbs being part of a healthy diet, and there was your science experiment analogy wrapping it up beautifully.
-
@starlite19 you're absolutely on the right track by sharing in a group as supportive as this one, the women here have really kept me motivated over the last month. Personally, I like to meal plan a month in advance and log my food in MFP up to a week in advance, then I'll just tweak day by day if I have a snack or…

February Start Weight: 244.4 February Goal Weight: 238 Ultimate Goal Weight: 180 Feb 1 : 244.4 Feb 8: Feb 15: Feb 22: Feb 28: So I actually ended the January challenge lower than I started the February one (242.8 vs 244.4)! That's a daily fluctuation for you. Still it's all been going in the right direction so I'm…

Daily Post (Monday) Track: Yes Calories: Yes Exercise: Yes - 30 minute MFP strength plan session This month I'm going to try and track my water, total calories and exercise minutes in a chart to see what the most influential factor is for loss for me. Love the daily post challenge @AB0215! Daily Post (Sunday) Track: Yes Calories: Yes - under by about 200, not including exercise calories. I try to stay at least 100 under my 1820 target to help with the coming months - I remember how it got harder and harder to stay on track as my allowance shrunk! Exercise: Yes - 35…

@AB0215 - apologies! I posted the wrong weight, got my 5 and 4 the wrong way around, just realised when I checked the Slimsons tab :). It should be emmclean Friday 245.8 Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience

Hi Team Slimsons! I'm Emma, 38, originally from London, UK but now living on the Emerald Isle in wonderful Dublin. I originally joined this challenge in October 2017 to help me lose weight for my wedding in September 2018. I went from 235lbs to 179lbs and SO MUCH of that was due to this challenge and the amazing community,…

@goal06082021 Way to go! Never doubted you'd make your goal, you give such good advice and support to others, and I think that reaps rewards - being kind to others (hopefully) means you can be kind to yourself, and that's when we achieve our goals.
-
@gfinley49 you're not alone, I weighed in at 254.1lbs at the start of this month, the highest I'd recorded before (Sept 2017) was 235lbs. I gained about 35lbs in 2020. The important thing is we accept where we are, recognise that we have the ability and the strength to make change happen, however long it takes. And forums…

emmclean Friday 254.8 Glad to be back after over a year! I used to be in Gutbusters but I had a quick scan of the Jan group spreadsheet and I don't see any familiar names from before so I'm happy to be assigned to whichever team suits :)

I'm in! I used to be in this challenge back in 2018, glad to be back :)

@VickyEltonGreen wow! I went for a long walk today in 1°C and thought that was good, you're a trooper! @goal06082021 love that car analogy, brilliant illustration. As much as I struggle with strength training I can really appreciate how important it is to ensure I have a good metabolism at goal weight, especially as I get…
