I think you should probably find out what your maintenance TDEE is and eat at that or a little bit over and continue with your weight training.

133lbs today. Back on track after a couple really terrible weeks and gaining a couple pounds. I'm thrilled to be here! One more pound and I'll be at a healthy BMI. I can't wait till I'm in the 120's! 8 more pounds until goal weight!

I'm one of those people who "can't imagine myself that small" but probably could be that small and be healthy. I'm 5'1 with tiny wrists and hands but biggish feet....so, not totally sure about the size of my bones but I think my frame is probably pretty small. I JUST allowed myself to start dreaming of being a size 4, even…

Being "scientific" includes looking at details analytically. Taking information from a magazine at face value is NOT scientific. Allowing a man who wants to bang you to cast doubts about your boyfriend so extensively that you dump him to date the new guy is NOT scientific. I suppose an internet poll can be…

Good for you!!

I struggle with this because I really LIKE alcohol. I like the way it tastes, and I'm happy when I'm buzzing. I don't drink every day, but if I lived nearer to my friends ( I moved across the country for grad school) I probably would. I don't think I'm an alcoholic, but I definitely do abuse it every once in a while. When…

Congrats! That is super exciting! I'm doing the 5k to 10k program right now with dreams of eventually doing a half marathon :)

I've always felt my body was ridiculous. I'm super short with boobs way too big for comfort, fat in my middle, not a lot of *kitten*, and big muscular legs. Buying jeans is pretty much impossible. T-shirts mostly highlight how disproportionate my chest is to my height/weight, so I wear dresses (with enough room for my…

Hello!! I'm Indigo, 27, Boston. I lost my motivation in a major way after finals when I began my three week summer break and lost my usual eating and gym routine. I'm ready to get back at it and destroy these 10lbs now! SW: 145+ish CW: 137 (gained 2 lbs I fought so hard to lose, ugh!) GW: 130 with dreams of 125. I'm 5'1.

I'm in!

You got this!! My first is in a couple weeks. I would also like to do it in 30 mins, but I think that's a pretty lofty dream for me :)

Because there are so many styles out now, they are starting to appear at places like TJ Maxx and Marshals. I bought a pair of vibrams for $30 not too long ago! I've been running barefoot for about a year but had only starting running about 6 months prior to that. Basically, barefoot running is the only running I know! I…

Love this! Congratulations! There are more of these milestones in your future :)

I had a roommate once who, whilst trying to lose weight, WANTED people to berate her. She wanted people to tell her she was fat, lazy, to put down the cupcake, you worthless loser. This roommate's most exceptional trait, however, was that she was a TOTAL SOCIOPATH. Seriously. No capacity for empathy, no real sympathy. I…

My face slimmed down first, too. It's nice, but: hello body! What about this tummy?? Why are you saving all of its fat?? Everyone is different. Sometimes it sucks. Be patient! I bet you'll wake up one morning and suddenly realize your face has been slowly changing all of this time.

I haven't done a race yet...for some reason I'm really nervous about it! But my PB in training was around 34 minutes. I dream of a 30min 5k!

I got an unexpected whoosh, so now I'm at 135, one of my first goals! This post is reminding me that I was "stuck" at 138-140 for a long time, so if I'm still at 135 in a couple weeks I should be glad and patient for the next woosh! I can barely remember myself at 130...it's so close now!

I'm eager to see what answers you get! I have been noticing that sometimes after a couple days of serious overeating and not as much exercise as I usually strive for, I also tend to lose a couple of lbs. Weird.

It happens! See if you can figure out what triggered the binge, learn from it. I recently learned that if I under ear for a day or two (because I'm juts not feeling that hungry or interested in food for whatever reason) I'm setting myself up for a major binge a couple days later. Now I understand why I need to eat a…

Unbelievable progress! Congratulations!

Graduate student (I'll be s speech language pathologist...someday!).

Find AWESOME workout music. Make it your hobby to track down and create the perfect playlists. Forget you're staying in place on the elliptical; pretend instead that you are at the best dance party ever.

Girls who look prissy but are secretly tomboys. Skinny blondes with butts. Buff chicks. This is not the entire list ;)

I agree with everyone above me. It happened. Do an error analysis...see if you can find any particular triggers. And then MOVE ON. It's not all over because you had a slip up. Let it be a reminder of where you've been and where you're going. It's going to OK. Tomorrow you'll eat well and a month from now this binge won't…

You're absolutely gorgeous in ALL of your pictures, but your hard work is really paying off!
-
I can definitely tell! You are smaller all around. Slow and steady is the way to keep it off, right?

Amazing job!!

Congratulations on your transformation and on having such a loving, supportive partner!

This is so perfect! Thanks for taking the time to write up something so clear, helpful, and to the point!
