This is true! Hang in there! I also do really well when it is cold and nasty outside but as soon as the weather is nice it seems I lose my resolve to go to the gym. If you don't make it to the gym, take a nice long walk when the weather is nice. That way you are staying active AND getting to enjoy the nice weather. Hang in…

How do I add myself to your group? Y'all look like fun and just what I need to help me stay motivated. I just "rejoined" a week ago. I have 2 daughters getting married this year and I want to look my best for the weddings. I have been doing a good job of staying active and this past week and I have keeping within my…

Menopause is NOT the answer. Then your skin gets all thin and saggy - and hopefully if you had kids you did your kegel exercises... AND it is so much harder (for me anyway) to lose weight - it seems like I have to work twice as hard. I would take having a period every month over the problems associated with menopause any…

I do this all the time. This is actually a type of eating disorder. I can't leave any type of food on the counter top or out in the open - if I do then I get into it in the middle of the night and have absolutely no memory of eating it the next morning.

Not to mention that to shower that frequently is probably not good for your skin. I shower once a day whether I need to or not.

Congrats on the quitting smoking! I quit 6 years ago after smoking for nearly 30 years and I have never EVER felt better in my entire life - keep up the efforts - it is truly worth it in the end. I am 50 years old and I my goal is to lose 30 pounds!

My doctor advised me that artificial sweetener was likely causing my sugar cravings - I stopped drinking it and I believe that what he told me is true - I do not crave sugar as much anymore. Maybe it is all in my head, but whatever I feel better.

I didn't take that message away from your original post at all. Happy day!:drinker:

You are simply gorgeous! Congratulations!

I AGREE. Dude sits next to me at work and chomps ice all day - it's like fingernails on a chalkboard. I have to put my ear buds in and leave them in all day. I hate it.

I also work at a desk job and sitting in a chair all day is not good for us. I make it a point to get up and walk around once an hour for 5 minutes - also I make friends with like minded co-workers to share recipes and give each other support. At my job, I have many diet sabatogers (is that a word ?) so I have to be…

That is what I was going to say! When I 1st started working out my husband was convinced I had a "boyfriend" at the gym - he tried to make it sound like he was kidding but he wasn't. Finally I told him that if he was really worried about it he was welcome to join me - that ended that conversation.

Tell him that being physically fit makes you feel sexier. It worked for me!:blushing:

Wow. I never really thought about that but it sures makes sense to me! Thanks for the insight!
