  • Thanks for posting this! consumers do need to be more informed, It's amazing the crap manufacturers try and sneak past us.
  • I felt the same way about the book, I lost interest before I lost anything. I also hate the word diet, I actually am not that interested in following the flat belly diet100 % but the recipes are healthy and for the most part easy and inexpensive. I just wonder if it actually works and if there's some thing to the whole…
  • Here's a link to the website if anyone's interested... http://www.prevention.com/flatbellydiet/index.shtml They claim you can lose up to 15 pounds in 32 days but I haven't tried jumping into it just yet. When I first got the book I did for a week or two but lost interest.
  • Its full of tasty recipes. The whole basis of the diet is to include a "mufa" with every meal, which is a healthy fat, olives, nut's, olive oil, dark chocolate. You have to do a jump start diet, which is basically a detox diet that de-bloats you. Yes, the sassy water when i did try it got old pretty quick. lol
  • I see way too much fast/pre packaged food and no fruit or veggie, you might want to work on the well balanced diet. Oh and breakfast! Its really pretty important. Good luck!!
  • your not going to fail! even if you do give in to the toast and jam. When ever I feel like I'd rather lay around and eat junk I try and do some extra exercising, go outside and do something productive, find something just to keep my mind off snacking like looking for new books online, knitting, organizing drawers and…
  • I agree with some of the other posters, in a pinch Subway is o.k. but I wouldn't eat there multiple times a week, I think it would be better to make your own sandwiches at home with sides and bring that with you, that way you can regulate what you eat, how many additives you ingest and how much you are spending. I prefer…
  • I'm a Business student as well, It does make it VERY hard to eat healthy when stuck at school 5 days a week, I think I know the caloric content of everything in the vending machines, lol.
  • great topic! can't wait to see the list, I'm in need of workout music something awful. I tend to like upbeat 80's pop but only when i'm exercising, lol
  • I'm thinking I might try the warm milk and melatonin chew's, I was just thinking I might even try and do a little yoga before bed, maybe that will help to relax and sleep. I agree with you It is so hard to keep motivated on those nights and the next day when i am tired, I know its diet and exercise related its not my…
  • Some nights here recently I haven't been able to sleep either, I feel wired like I over did the caffeine even though I haven't had any. or sugar for that matter. All I can figure is maybe exercising too near bed time. Its driving me crazy though.

  • I like the protein shake idea, I have been having a granola bar if i have to eat something, keeps me from raiding the fridge for left overs :)
  • I am new here also :) It does seem to be a great tool and full of supportive people. Im also in the same situation, single mom of an active healthy child, I put on a ton of weight after last break up (like i was on a mission or something, lol!) now determined to get it all off and focus on me this year. good luck! I'm…
  • I have been a vegetarian for 15 years but I live in the south where seafood is a big deal so during crawfish season I am a pescotarian lol, or when I have little options I do eat shrimp and crab. Very rarely fish but occasionally I do get a tuna craving. I find my self hungry all the time also when I am not being mindful…
  • I have been a vegetarian for 15 years and I am new to this site. In response to your breakfast q. I like a whole wheat english muffin with a poached egg. I know its not vegan but thats what I eat when i have it. lol. When Iived in a bigger city I was able to find a vegan product called ener-g egg I believe and it was a…
