  • The mirror, the scale and my MFP Friends! I've tried to lose weight many, many, many times before but have failed each and every time. I started MFP a little over a month ago, acquired some truly awesome Friends, and have lost 20+ lbs so far (a little over half way to my goal weight). There's no end in site for the awesome!
  • Hey there... truly, if you eat towards having a calorie deficit and do a bit of exercise you'll be on the right track. Cleanses can have the opposite effect once they end. Your body can do all the 'cleanse' work itself. If you eat better and allow your body to concentrate of 'cleaning out' existing stuff instead of working…
  • I've been a huge fan since day one. I enjoy the hell out of it. I can see why folks wouldn't like it, however. I grasp at anything Old Republic anyway, so it's heaven for me :)

  • Skyrim... most likely my favorite game of all time. My favorite Side Quest(s) is everything Thieves Guild... I love sneaking, stealing, arrows... incredible fun. My favorite shout is Unrelenting Force. I've played for nearly 300 hours total... wish I could play more, but eh, life things require my attention too :) It's…
  • Howdy, howdy. The name's Kevin and I'm 6' 2", 207lbs and knee-deep in my journey to 190. I started on MFP about 4-5 weeks ago, and have so far lost a total of 21.5 pounds. My goal for this attempt at weight loss was to not go 'extreme'. I eat less (but still have a cheeseburger or Del Taco here and there) and more healthy…
  • San Diego, California FTW!
  • Welcome back... I've been an MFP member for about a month and am on daily. Feel free to add... My goal this year is to hike Half Dome - twice if possible. Look forward to continued success! Kev_
  • Hey there... Welcome to MFP. I've been here about a month and have lost 20 lbs so far... so results CAN and WILL happen for you! The calorie goal given on this site is your target intake per day. Based on heigh, weight, age and daily activity (little, some, a lot, etc). It's also calculated based on how much you want to…

  • This is my 5th day w/ MFP, but its impact has been TREMENDOUS for my vigor to lose weight, get in shape, and reach out to people more. • Thanks tekwriter... I've learned quite a bit from the failed attempts... and yes, most likely avoided adding even more weight! Happy Progress and best of luck to you too!
  • Thanks! Yes, 14 will be my lucky number, indeed... Going from 3500 - 4000 calories per day, down to about 1500 is tough... but I look forward to 'feeling' good all the time, as opposed to feeling good while I'm ordering the Double Whopper (and not feeling good when I've taken the last bite - yeesh that's always lame).…
  • Hey, don't be down - mini donuts are pretty much Mouth Magnets and can be very difficult to avoid, but it's great that you kept honest and logged them... that's a huge deal... In the past I'd eat an underwhelming food item and not log it, like it didn't count or anything... fool that I was... Looking forward to struggling…
