  • Cardio is pretty much what I have time for. At the gym, I don't have time to wait around for someone to get off a weight set just to see someone new on it the next time I come back. At this point, it's whatever gets it in. Chances are I'll incorporate some body weight resistance exercies (push-ups, crunches, and the like)…
  • Pea..... uh, uh, Tear........... Griffin. Peter Griffin.
  • Diet sodas and hot coffee give me terrible headaches. I can drink cold coffee no problem though...
  • You're not the only one. The only time I want Greek yogurt is mixed with chopped-up cucumbers and on a pita.
  • Ballerina tea? Ok, no, don't do ballerina tea. That sounds like an awesome meal. I'd throw some garlic mashed in there myself. :-) Pretty sure you'll be fine.
  • A suit, and not a cheap one! :-)
  • Option 1: Fogo. I'd get a salad or something, too. With their fat bacon strips. Maybe White Castle later. Option 2: MN State Fair. Maybe White Castle later.
  • Added. I just started playing again last winter after a 13-year layoff, am working to slim down and get quicker!
  • This, SO much! But for real: Fast Food (for the most part... can't remember the last time at least) Soda Dinners from a box Yeah, I think that's it. Hasn't really been about completely cutting out, but maybe substitutes like unsweetened almond milk for cow milk (Mostly for protein shakes). Or egg whites with maybe one yolk…
  • Lots and lots of water. I think I've kicked soda for the most part, other than the very occasional Coke I slip in the freezer for a good 40 minutes :-) Otherwise I do iced coffee (Can't drink hot, I get headaches this way) and I brew iced tea. I do add sugar, but at least I know how much is going in exactly.
  • Sorry--I forgot that my diary only publishes when I click the "Publish" button. My sodium intake tends to hover between 500-1000/day. My blood pressure hasn't been bad, but I'd rather not trend the wrong way...

  • OP--That's freaking awesome and encouraging that while we still have breath it's NEVER too late! I never really had been thin or skinny, and just always figured I'm always gonna be this way. Used to play sports as a kid (hockey, baseball, football) and was able to do these while being overweight. In 2007, I was at my…
  • Hey all, I'm Trey. I live in the eastern St. Paul suburbs. Work in Mpls, work out at LTF.
  • My official weigh-ins happen Monday nights, after work, post-workout. I usually weigh myself every time I work out (4-6x/week) just to see how I'm progressing and to make sure I'm trending in the right direction.
  • Woodbury mostly, occasionally hit up Fridley and Maple Grove.
  • #MNWild fan here! "Winning's gonna be easy! Now that we have Pari...................."
  • Trader Joe's Quinoa chips are pretty awesome.
  • With the MFP app, I tend to now view calories as currency. Although, in a way, it helps that I'm not much of a snacker so I'm not always tempted by treats (I'm a bit bougie, I will pound the hell out of homemade baked goods!). I don't know what your preferred foods are, but it may be good to research foods that tend to…
  • Thanks, I have never really set a weight-losing goal and actually tried to execute! It's kind of exciting! If anything, I look forward to clothes shopping in a few months
