I've begun running but these pictures are from ~220 pounds down to 170. Still looking to lose around 30-40 pounds. Obviously, not wearing a bra helped my back look better in the second picture!

WOW! Way to go. This is so inspiring to me and my 13 min miles!

Don't cut out the stuff you love. I wanted macaroni and cheese today so I was careful with how I ate during the day and for dinner I had my mac n cheese! And stayed within my calorie goal! I know from experience, if you cut out the foods you love, you'll almost certainly give up.

I aim for maintenance during the 2-3 days I have bad pms-related cravings. I don't lose but I don't really sabotage myself either, and I can make a pint of Ben & Jerry's work ;)

This my favorite of the whole thread, hehe

I'm still losing but between 2013 and 2014 I started at 210, lost 50 in a few months, put 30 back on. Would lose ten, binge, give up, start over. I would do intense calorie deficits, though, and not track binges. This time around 2015-2016 I've been much more gradual- only looking to lose a pound a week gives me more…

i keep eating hershey chocolate easter eggs oops

I'm about 1500 under for this week, which, considering I finish every day anywhere between 50 over and 500 under, makes sense. Do you finish every day well under your goal?

Dang! Great work!

I have my mfp activity set to sedentary so it adjusts when I'm more active- on lazy days it doesn't really add anything, but there are days where I'm certainly not sedentary (either from a lot of general activity or from running). I eat back some of the calories (I aim for 50%). I lose more weight when I do it this way,…

Idk maybe it is judgmental of me but sometimes I'd rather be judgmental than condescending and paternalistic on something that isn't even true.
-
I posted on Facebook about figuring out if I needed to eat more or less and got a swarm of responses telling me crap like "cut out carbs", "eventually calorie counting just stops working", "when you drink coffee it stops you from losing any weight" (?!), "eating late at night slows your metabolism" etc etc etc

very nice! seeing those kinds of results is so dang motivating, too!

Well, I got my dress from Tatyana Boutique (an online pin up clothing store with a boutique at the mall in Minneapolis here) and it looked great off the rack, but I actually bought it probably a month before my wedding because I was losing weight. I did go dress shopping a few months ahead of time, but I just tried to…

Ah! I remember when you first posted this. I love this method. I have cottage cheese at noon and then nothing until I have a big dinner, has been the most effective method for me so far! I rarely have hunger pangs and when I do, water takes care of it quick. (edit: i realize my method isn't an authentic OMAD, hehe, but it…

Amazing results! Some days I find if I'm eating nutrient dense foods I struggle to hit 1200 cals tbh. And the dog in your profile picture is giving me the giggles.
-
I went from 210 to 165 just from eating 1200-1350 cals a day. I still eat that little when I have a lazy day, but I prefer to go for runs or long walks most days so I can eat more! hehehe.

You look SO much healthier and happier! Amazing job!

Hahaha, agreed. Whatever you do, find a trainer who listens to your goals. I went to a trainer 2x a week and asked to learn how to lift weights (she advertised herself as an award-winning powerlifter. Shouldn't have been too difficult.) The cost (exorbitant) was supposed to come with a meal plan which she never gave me,…

Wow! :)

Every time I think I no longer need the scale, I maintain until I go back to weighing and then quickly drop several pounds. I'm down 34 from my starting weight of 204. I'll probably need to measure most of the time for the rest of my life to keep to the weight I like, but it doesn't take long for me to treat it like a…

Amen! 34 pounds down with the same mentality :)

Wow! That's such a big transformation in just 100 days. Great work.

Food scale, don't deprive yourself of foods you love- just make them work with your calorie goals (which should mean eating healthier overall too, but weightloss is purely calories in vs out). And I agree with the above poster- don't buy foods you know you can't not eat. I once got a tin of powdered donut holes thinking…

I'm 5'5", medium frame. Started at 203/39-33-45 measurements. I'm now 170/38-27-41. I noticed a difference in my face around 190, but other people started to notice around 175. previously when I hit the 160s was when myself AND everyone else really started to notice.

Seems he started at 290ish so the weight obviously comes off faster initially- and 245 was his first goal, as he stated a couple times, not ultimate lol Congrats, Steamy!
