For every 15 pounds I reward myself with new work out or kitchen gear- I love new work out clothes, they make me wanna go to the gym and show off :) When I reach my ultimate goal (aside from maintaining a healthy lifestyle forever ofc!) I'm rewarding myself with a tattoo.

Super inspiring, thank you

Very big difference. Great work.

Take progress pictures and record your measurements somewhere! Like the above said, it's really hard to notice changes in yourself like that when you're looking in the mirror every day. 5 pounds is great though- you're moving in the right direction

Oh wow, you look amazing :o

I did 3 days of 30ds before I left for a work-related thing in Portland (along with eating at a deficit) and when I got back from Portland, despite eating a lil over my limit (but not too bad!), I'd lost 2 inches from my hips, an inch and a half from my waist, half an inch from my neck, half an inch from each thigh, 2…

I read a lot of these so some of my advice is just seconding and third-ing others, but here's my advice! 1. Eat something with good carbs and some protein 1-1.5 hours ahead of time. If it's a morning run, at least have a banana beforehand-- but my typical pre-workout snack is whole wheat bread with a nut butter and half of…

Real groggy! I also have PMDD, which gives me some really awful, debilitating cramps that put me in the fetal position for a week. The only medication I've found that helps (and I've even been prescribed painkillers) is Midol PM. But then Midol PM knocks me out for like, a day at a time. So I have no trouble staying under…

this was an interestin' read! and old! but i wanna add my two cents anyway because i'm mildly annoyed that several dudes said 'women who wouldn't date a guy who uses steroids are the same ones who would throw themselves at celebrities' yeah maybe some, but there's a lot more than the body there and y'all know it. having…

and? clearly op is not one of those people?

lol at the people in here who think the only reason anyone loses weight is to look better to the opposite sex

wow your face totally shrunk! sorry hehe not a WOC just came to admire :}

ahhh this is one of my favorite success stories i've ever read on here. thank you so much for sharing, i can't even imagine the discipline it took to get back out there.
-
thanks! and no, that's not a dumb question at all. I was so worried that after I lost a little weight that I would have an insanely tiny waist but still have 25 inch thighs! but i've been down 45 pounds before and now know it just takes some parts of my body longer to catch up :)
-
dang girl, hubba hubba lookin' great!

But also, it should begin to even out eventually! When I lose weight, it comes from my waist and thighs first but after a while it starts coming from other areas. So while you may lose a cup size or two, it will probably be proportional in "the end".

Anyone who wants to may feel free to add me-- I added a couple people but have to go make dinner :) this is also my 2nd time on mfp, although it was purely my living situation that led to me falling off the wagon last time.

I just started but tend to do 2x a week, 30-45 minutes, 30 second rests between sets.

I use the Moving Comfort Fiona Bra, which is on Amazon for $30-46 (looks like they're low on sizes right now but if interested I'm sure other places have them). I wear a 34DDD and run regularly, and this bra has been my favorite so far. I think it's really important for ladies who are larger chested to get sports bras with…

I got a fancy armband for $20 at target. I got my boyfriend a cheap-o armband for $5 from ebay. Both equally changes out lil exercisin' lives.

i haven't been able to run a mile since the one time i did it in gym class over a decade ago. i have started and stopped c25k probably 5 times in the last year, but this time i've stuck with it and i'm about to start week 5 and i'm so excited to do the 20 minute run on day 3! never thought i'd be excited to run for 20…
