  • Yesterday's workout Workout #9 - mix dvd burned 374 cals Was short on time and I wanted to get some weight trainng in too, so put on the 20 min dvd. Holy smokes! Fast or what?! I had a hard time keeping up with a few of the moves, but just regrouped and kept going. Once or twice and I'll hopefully have it down! No zumba…
  • Thanks!!!! I was soaked at the end of that one, let me tell you! Real Salsa club?! Exciting! You'll have to let us know if the zumba moves translated to the dance floor!
  • Workout #8 - Activate dvd burned 745 cals Dragged my tired sorry *kitten* out of bed at 6:30am to get a workout in before hubby had to leave for work. Yikes! I don't typically work out on the weekend due to lack of time, but I needed to make room for today's anniversary visit with my dad. Pizza, ribs and wine. And good…
  • Workout #7 this afternoon Activate dvd Burned 557 calories Going to try and squeeze in a workout tomorrow morning, then I'm off out of town overnight to celebrate my father's 25th wedding anniversary. There is going to be pizza and ribs and the wine will probably not stop flowing. Wish me luck! Happy weekend everyone!
  • Oops, forgot to enter for yesterday... Workout #6 - Activate dvd, plus a little of the mix dvd (bollywood dance!) Burned 937 cals doing 68 min. Was having such a good time that we redid a couple of the songs a second time. It's always over before you know it!
  • I think it is terrible to judge those people who end up not being successful in marriage. Yes, marriage takes work, but both of you have to be willing to work at the same time. You can't have one person who wants to fix things and one that doesn't. And sometimes it's too late. How many years can you stay with someone you…

  • I just started Zumba last week and I freaking LOVE it! Although I do an outside bootcamp twice/week and try to incorporate a weight/strengthening session at least twice a week, Zumba is my at home workout of choice! So far, I've only been able to follow the Activate dvd, but I agree, 45 minutes for that one zooms by. Every…
  • I think it's wonderful that the two of you could do this together. I've been on my weight loss journey for over a year, and I've had great success, but my husband, who desperately needs to get healthier to curb his diabetes, has yet to truly commit himself. Can I ask what you guys did together? I've asked mine to join me…
  • Fantastic! Quite a difference. Keep it up!!!!
  • Workout #5 - Activate dvd Burned 646 calories. Tried a few minutes of the mix dvd - moves from all over the world. Could NOT keep up! Maybe it's best if I stick to the voice instructed dvd's for a while and don't let my enthusiasm get ahead of my ability! Keep it up guys! One week in. One lb gone.
  • best of luck and congrats. You can add me if you like.
  • hello luv! Welcome to mfp. I am a 37 yr old mom of two young, hyper but lovely boys. I've struggled with my weight my entire life and have only recently been able to shed half of this disabling weight! Enjoy the site! There's lots of great things on here to help you out. Feel free to add if you'd like!
  • The day the girl at the store told me, "Honey, you are not a size 18" and handed me 16's I put them on and then cried. That too going in wearing size 20's. I wonder if I'll ever have that epiphany again with another size. At 5'8" I don't think i've ever been smaller than a 13.
  • There was a time when I thought I would be happy being a size 16 (US), as it was way smaller than what I used to wear. Now I am a 16. When I was able to fit into my first pair of 16 jeans I remember looking at them and thinking how small they looked. Now, even though I am constantly getting compliments on my appearance,…
  • great job everyone! Workout #4 - Activate dvd. 591 cals! Took a look at one of the other discs. There's different instructors. Darn. I love the two girls! They are SO cute.
  • I have this problem quite often too. The thought of "starvation mode" scares me a little, though I try not to stress about it too much if I don't make it. Days that I know I'm going to work out twice I try to amp up my regular meals with a little added extras. Like I'll add avocado to my salad, have 1/2 cup of walnuts with…
  • Very best of luck! I know how hard it is to juggle kids, a home, work and it all took it's toll on me until I decided for once in my life to put me first! Enjoy the site. It's fantastic and so are the people. Feel free to add me.
  • I eat back my calories, or as much as I can without them being empty just for the sake of eating them back. I'm not always successful at eating them all back though. Congrats on the marriage! I know that you will rock it out so hard and that dress will totally fit when you need it too! Best of luck and let's rock this…
  • Okay, I am officially entering my stats and starting T.E.A.M. Zumba! Workout #1 & #2 - Started yesterday afternoon with the step by step dvd, then did the Activate dvd last night. Total cals burned both workouts = 1095! Wowzers! And it was SO much fun! Workout #3 - Did Activate dvd this morning = 577 cals burned and I…
  • That is AWESOME and I know exactly how you feel. I was a 26 and am now a comfortable 16. I can't buy at shirt at the plus size store anymore, though I have to be honest and say that I still have a hard time finding pants I like at the regular size stores. It is amazing how you can feel so totally different and how much…
  • Yuck! No kidding! None of the foods bother me when they`re cooked and I wondered why. Interesting.
  • Thanks for that! I did get tested years ago and I do have very bad seasonal allergies (tree pollen mostly), so it makes sense the birch pollen allergy items would affect me (I can pick apples, cherries, carrots and almonds from that list) would affect me more this time of year. Good to know!
  • I am making these for my next party. They look awesome!
  • Good luck. Next time, before you eat that treat, think about what you are doing and how you will feel after. Might work.
  • I would love to join this once my videos show up. I'm expecting them soon, if that's okay.
  • I had this yesterday. It was delicious!!!!! http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/03/coconut-chicken-salad-with-warm-honey.html#more
  • Excellent post SHBoss1673! I did a post awhile back (http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/217374-sometimes-it-goes-deeper-than-food-and-exercise) that focused on how weight loss is largely a mental factor. I think it is VERY important to figure out your triggers and deal with them on a larger level. For me, I had to see…
