  • Well, I resisted the temptation, but the funny thing is that I was still thinking about that cheese dip a few hours later! I'm still so glad that I didn't give in...but I just can't believe I did it. Work snack day = torture! I hate it when it feels like the food has some kind of control over my brain! Hahaha. But, I guess…
  • Hahahaha. Yes +300 pounds is a very effective visual. I'll keep that in mind. :)
  • I've been wondering the same thing. I usually double my sugar just from fruit! 27g of sugar doesn't sound like that much when an apple supposedly has 16g.
  • I'm working on watching my sodium over the next few weeks. It's insane how quickly that can add up!! My husband and I are taking the dogs on a long walk tonight, then tomorrow I go work out with my personal trainer. She always grinds me to the bone. :) Should be fun!
  • I've lost either an adult pekingese or a golden retriever puppy...take your pick. :) Can't wait until my golden retriever puppy grows to an adult...65 pounds to go!

  • I'm in! I'm 24 and starting my first year of Medical School in 5 weeks! I've been overweight all of my teenage and adult life. I've decided that I'm going to get this under control now so I can enjoy my life and my body before I start wanting to have children! My goal is to lose 25 lbs by August 14th (an additional 15.4…
  • That's awesome. I would value that as even better than reaching goal weight. It's not about your weight. It's about how you feel about yourself (and how your family feels too!!). You deserve it.
  • I like Nectar Protein Shakes. They come in all kinds of fruity flavors (I got Crystal Sky, tastes like Fruit Punch). They don't have any carbs or sugar, so you might want to pair it with a piece of whole wheat toast, some oatmeal or something to give you some extra fuel. Only 90 cals per serving (23g protein). And they're…
  • You can do it! Just remember to get at it. Every day is a step in the right direction, no matter how quickly it happens!
  • If I wasn't chowing down on my pretzels when I saw those pics, I would have had to pick my chin up off the floor. WOW!
  • I bought it at Affordable Supplements for about $1 per serving ($37 for 36 servings). I might look around and check prices. But all protein shakes are a little expensive.
  • Hahahahaha...I'm in. -name: Whitney -city/state: Olathe, KS -highest weight EVER: 230 -STARTING WEIGHT when you join: 225.8 -team: (i.e.: team jacob, team edward, team bella....etc...etc.) Team Edward. • Definitely go off of your HRM. It's tracking your heart rate the whole time and it knows your age, weight, height, etc, so it's much more accurate. P.S. I love my HRM. :) It makes me feel like I'm actually accomplishing something! Best money I've ever spent!
  • Doesn't sound like a good idea to me. I wouldn't sacrifice my health just to get fast results. Slow and steady wins the race. Losing weight is hard. If it was as easy as any fad diet, THIS SITE WOULDN'T EXIST!! Just be careful and check in with your doctor to make sure your health isn't suffering.

  • I only weight in once a week because anything more and I go crazy. I would record your weight whenever you weigh. Just be prepared for the occasional increase due to excess sodium intake, etc.
  • Unfortunately, I can't do it for you....I'd LOVE to find someone to do it for me! BUT...everyone here can help motivate you to do it yourself. They say, Give a man a fish and he'll be fed for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll be fed for a lifetime. :)
  • Whoa!! That's awesome!
  • I can't remember being less than 150...except for once at the doctor's office when I was 12 and 144. Ugh. My highest weight was 230 as a Junior in high school. I actually lost weight in college with the gym easily available and ample time. But after college ended and I started working 40 hours/week, I came up with a lot of…
  • I want in!! Starting Weight 212
  • That's awesome! What a great inspiration for everyone!
