You can do this, but McDonald's isn't going to help you do that...you already know that. Don't get discouraged. You'll see results!! Just keep going!

I am feeling GREAT about my 3 lb loss this week. I was under my calories all week, got in 5 or 6 solid work outs and drank a ton of water, so I'm glad to see my effort show up on the scale. I can't WAIT to be under 200 (only 1.4 lbs away!!!). To everyone who's feeling disappointed and/or discouraged: You are all doing…

It's crazy how quickly you can rack up some SERIOUS sodium numbers!! Sometimes I make food decisions based on my sodium number more than my calories! But the best thing about water weight is that it WILL be gone. Watch your sodium intake carefully, try to cut back on processed foods and you'll be feeling better in a couple…

I hope I can be there! I'm going to Philmont Boy Scout Camp this summer to be a Medic (exciting, right??). I'm not sure when I'm leaving, but I would love to be there if I can!

I got it in there for you! Good job!

I'm down 3 solid lbs this week from 204.2 to 201.2! SO close to my 2/1/11 goal of 199. I should meet that with flying colors! I'm so glad that my hard work paid off this week. Now I'm off to the gym to get my butt into the 190s!!! Great work this week everyone! Just think where we'll be in June! WOW! I can't…

There are thousands of people on here that are living proof of "If I can do it, ANYONE can!". We're all here to support you. Just log everything you eat, get your workouts in and you'll see results. Not necessarily every week, but it'll happen. Just take it one day at a time and some day you'll look back and think about…

Woo hoo!! My water weight is gone!! I'm down 1.6 lbs from Friday! Can't wait for tomorrow's weigh in after my last chance work out!

You should drink at least 8 glasses of water. I've heard half your body weight in ounces of water per day. So, I weigh 200 lbs, so I need 100 oz. or 12.5 glasses of water per day. I would say to shoot for at least half pure water. Maybe try to put orange, lemon or lime slices to flavor the water??

Start by planning your entire days meals. Put it all in your food journal and figure out what you can manage for the day. If you already know what you're planning on eating for breakfast, lunch and dinner, you're less likely to fall victim to eating whatever you want. Losing weight is like Boy Scouts: Always Be Prepared!!…

I pretty sure they have Body Buggs. It's a heart rate monitor that measures your calorie burn all day long, but I think they run about $200-300. You could probably find them online. Like others have said, the contestants weigh a lot, thus they burn a lot. They are also working out pretty much constantly, so it's not…

My family went out for Mexican on Saturday. I got chicken fajitas and only ate one tortilla. I skipped the cheese, sour cream and guacamole and skimped on the chips and salsa. The chicken fajitas with red and green peppers and onions were great on their own!

It sounds like your metabolism is really low. I'd say you're OK for today if you really don't want to eat anything else, but maybe you could try increasing your food by 100-200 calories each day until you each at least 1200 calories every day. You definitely don't want your metabolism to tank because your body thinks it's…

Drink LOTS of water. Distract yourself. Find more satisfying foods (best done by trial and error). I find that for the first week or so of eating fewer calories, my stomach needs to shrink back down so that I can feel fuller faster. It does go away eventually. Stay strong and hopefully in a couple of days, you'll be…

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/151987-chicken-enchilada-casserole-yummm Check out the post that I put up about the recipe I made last night! It was delicious and totally diet-friendly.

I think any vegetable soup would work. Then maybe add a little more seasoning if necessary.

Diet soda is hardly sewage water, but to each his own. Everyone has a few things that they just can't live without. Mine is Diet Coke. I only allow myself one 12 oz. can a day, and I'm trying to cut back to 3-4 a week. But I say, drink in moderation. I don't think that Diet soda in moderation is that bad for you. But even…

Oh! And I also put it into the food database under Chicken Enchilada Casserole (w/ double rice, tomato and black olive).

Ummm. No. Take out Chinese food is FULL of really bad options. Pretty much anything that is fried or covered in a sugary sauce would be a bad choice. If I'm going out to eat Chinese, I usually get Chicken with vegetables. It has a lighter white sauce instead of a sugary base and it's FULL of vegetables, which makes it a…

Drink lots of water. It helps me!

Good morning everyone! Well, I'm down 0.2 lbs from my Friday weigh in, which sounds pretty sad, especially considering that I've been under my calories AND worked out hard about 5 times this week. But my TOM caused some serious water weight this week, so I'm hoping that the 0.2 lbs loss (which is actually 0.2 + the 2 lbs I…

Hey everyone! I'm feeling good about this week! We got a lot of snow over the past 24 hours, so I've already been out to shovel our driveway twice and burned over 400 calories doing it, in addition to my regular workouts! I'm back in school again, but I think I've mastered being able to balance my need to study pretty much…

I'm confused too. Do you weigh yourself in the evening too? If you're going to weigh yourself every day, just weigh yourself in the morning. If that number goes down, then yes, you did lose weight. If the number in the evening goes up, that doesn't mean anything. You can gain up to 5 lbs in a day because of water intake,…

I usually eat back about half 200-300 calories or so. I think it depends on how many calories you start off eating daily. I'm set at 1200, so eat back a few hundred is probably a good idea.
-
That sounds awesome! Thanks!

Thanks, Kimmie!

That's the way you do it! I usually eat back about half of my exercise calories, but a lot of people don't eat them back and a lot of people say that you should eat all of your exercise calories back. I think it's just personal preference.
