Yes, you can drink too much water! There is a woman who died of water intoxication. Basically what happens is when you drink too much water, you dilute the sodium, chloride and other electrolytes in your body and it causes a shift of water into your cells. In the case of the woman who died, excessive water caused swelling…

I KNEW you'd come down sooner or later!! Congrats!!

Most HRMs are only accurate for use during exercise. I think you are supposed to use the BodyBugg, for instance, all day. That's what the contestants on the Biggest Loser use. I use my HRM to get an accurate calorie count, especially when doing plyometrics and because it gives me a guide as to how hard I'm working. If my…

I'm down 0.8lbs from 199.2 to 198.4 lbs this week. I was really hoping to be around 197, but I'll take it. I had a great week; I'm fitting into all my skinnier clothes, I'm working out hard, feeling great about my body and I look really cute today, if I do say so myself. My personal trainer measured me and I lost…

Got it!

Totally agree. If you're healthy and you feel good about yourself EXACTLY the way you are, it's probably not worth it. If you're committed to having a rock hard kind of body, I say go for it. As long as you're healthy, it's your decision. As for me, I just want to be happy, healthy, able to run long distances, kill it in…

For those who think popcorn doesn't have any nutritional value, you'd be surprised to realize that 1 cup of air popped popcorn has 6 grams of fiber and 4 grams of protein. Not bad at all for being low on calories. That being said, I hate air popped popcorn, like others have said, it doesn't hold the salt as well, so I…

Sounds bogus to me. I say, drink up!

I definitely think starting off your day with protein is important...but the rest of it? I'm skeptical.

I know! I'm so glad I can fit into my old clothes and now I can't wait until they don't fit anymore because they're too big! I only got part of the way the last time I lost weight. This time I'm going all the way, no matter what!
-
Oh! And I forgot to mention that I tried on all my skinniest clothes; the ones I was wearing when I was 185 when I got married. And almost all of them FIT!!! I'm going to Mexico for Spring Break in 6 weeks and I can't wait to wear them!! It feels so good to have clothes to wear in warm weather. This would normally be a…

Hey everyone!! Sorry I've been kind of MIA the last couple of days; Med School tests will do that to you! Glad to see everyone is working hard! Hope this week goes well for everyone! I went to the gym today even though I REALLY didn't want to. Glad I did, because I ran a whole mile for the first time in my life!! I…

You looks SOOOOOO amazing!! How wonderful! It's amazing that you took it upon yourself to do this; you should be so proud! Good luck meeting your goal!!!
-
You're not going to be perfect overnight!! Log it and do better from now on. You have to let yourself get adjusted before you can even think about giving up or it wasn't worth trying! By the time you're adjusted, you'll be so good at it that you won't want to quit!
-
First of all, WAY TO GO!! That is an amazing feat and you look amazing!! Secondly, you're doing all the right things. Just keep switching it up and your body will respond! And you're right: the one thing you shouldn't do is give up!! Good luck!

I'd beat him to the chase and dump him first. Take care of yourself; if you make life decisions based on a boyfriend, you'll regret it later.

Agreed. That doesn't sound right...

I never have cheat days, but I will have a cheat meal, if that's what you want to call it. I always plan for a larger than average meal so that I still don't go over on calories. Personally, I think it's all about balance. If you're dying for something, plan for it and then you won't feel guilty or deprived. I think an…

I agree with all of the above. You're doing great. Keep up the hard work!

You've shown you can do it! It's hard to get the motivation to stick to it full time, but the longer you stick with it, the more motivation you'll get!! It took me from the end of April until December to lose 20 lbs. I would go for a while, then I let stress pull me down. It's all a learning process. I'm in the exact…

My mom has a recipe very similar for Italian Sausage Lasagna Rolls. Now, obviously, those aren't diet friendly, but these look like an AWESOME alternative!! Thanks for sharing!

LOL. Hilarious!! I'd say increase your calories a little like you're doing and try and switch up your workouts, don't cut back!! You're doing great. Do you do strength training? The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn just to get through the day. You'll get there. I think you're body is just fighting you a…

You can do it!!

It sounds like your body is going into starvation mode. You need to eat AT LEAST 1200 calories a day or your body will retain calories because it thinks you don't have enough food! Try upping your calories to 1200-1300 and I bet you'll see a difference.

I just wanted to say how happy I am that we all got together to do this challenge. Losing weight is HARD. We are all going to have good weeks and bad weeks and we're going to pick each other up when we're discouraged and work together to get to our goals. This is more support than most people usually have losing weight.…
