I read an article years ago where the author had interviewed several thousand couples after they applied for marriage certificates...and 80% of them said that the woman had initiated, pressured or given an ultimatum to get married. It didn't specify how many women actually popped the question, but clearly in most cases…

I haven't been watching the trial but I've done some reading...I just don't see how any juror could find her anything but guilty of premeditated murder. I mean, she covered her tracks when she went across state lines to see him (rental car, no credit cards, turned her phone off), took her grandfather's gun with her (yeah,…

I haven't given up anything completely, but it's been hard to give up eating as much as I want of everything. Moderation sucks.

I can't believe there's even 1% of you that would consider staying with an cheating, verbally abusive jerk. I wouldn't even be waiting until the end of the conversation to show him the door, much less be mulling it over. So what are you dependent on him for, and why does he take you for granted so much you that he thinks…

Clothes look better on the hanger than they do on me. Feet killing me if I wear high heels. Invisible to men. The way my stomach touches my lap when I'm sitting. Double chin. Breathless from walking uphill or up a flight of stairs.

Looking into my crystal ball, I foresee that It will take you exactly 30 weeks to lose 30 lbs. Get that sexy Halloween costume ready! Okay, just kidding. No one can tell you when you'll reach goal. Everyone's metabolism, calorie intake and calorie expenditure is individual. Personally I'm going with a rather lax "80 lbs…

That happens to me, too. Low calorie intake for weeks will result in no change, but then I break down and eat a pint of Ben & Jerry's or something and the scale drops overnight. It's like my body says "Finally - the famine's over" and lets some fat go. Now I've incorporated high calorie days into my routine (usually once a…

I just skimmed through your diary and thought WOW that's a lot of beer and fast food. I know the mantra is "only calories matter", but many have also stated that they didn't lose any weight until they changed the types of calories they were eating, too. Maybe try one week of no alcohol, no fried foods and see if the scale…

I haven't had anyone comment unless I mention it first - then they're like "Oh, yeah! I can totally tell!". :/ Maybe another 10 lbs or so will do it.

I don't know what you consider to be a reasonable price but there are two on Ebay under item numbers 221209584394 & 261191894666. It seems like the originals, even project cars, are priced around $40k. The fiberglass reproductions are a lot less.

I lost a lot of lbs my first few weeks too...then hit a wall and it's been a struggle since then, with some weeks losing nothing and some weeks losing a couple (I'm about 9 weeks in).

I'm just heading out for what will undoubtedly be a calorie, fat and sodium-filled meal - lunch at a Korean restaurant. It won't result in a whole cheat day/cheat week/cheat forever because I'm not wired that way. I don't think "Oh, I've blown it so I might as well REALLY blow it". Last weekend I had Mexican. I've still…

Is it the meat that's burning , or the oil? If it's the oil, use a nonstick pan or buy an oil that has a higher smoke point like grapeseed, safflower or sunflower. Olive and sesame oils smoke like crazy at high temps.

I rarely eat anything before noon. Do what works for you.

Mine is 2070 to 2180 depending on which calculator I use. The lower end is as per my FitBit so I generally use that.

I find grossly underestimated calories on MFP all the time. 80 calorie avocados, 275 calorie slices of pizza, etc. Some people are in denial. I always look at multiple entries, and if I'm still suspicious I Google it until I have a reasonable consensus.

Upping your calories by 480 might have been too big of a jump - try dropping it a couple hundred and see what happens. It have found that it's an ongoing process of playing with calories and trying to find that "sweet spot" that results in measurable weight loss. For me, 1200 calories daily didn't work, but mixing higher…

One of these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008O35S02/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B008O35S02&linkCode=as2&tag=stungun2-20 Great for aggressive dogs, too. The sound alone sends my dogs scattering.

No more grabbing random high-calorie snacks everywhere I went, Starbucks, drug store, gas station, grocery store - I was always getting something to mindlessly munch on in the car. Not coincidentally, I don't go to those places near as much as I used to. I guess subconsciously it was the snacks that I was really after.

This. I mean, don't eat 10k calories a day or anything, but have some of everything you want. It's a cruise, you're paying for that food! I gained 3.8 lbs in four days over Easter weekend visiting my parents...a couple of days of juicing and yogurt and it's almost gone.

Yeah! You kids get off my lawn! And pull your pants up! And get a haircut! When I was your age we got in shape by walking 3 miles to school in the snow, uphill both ways!

Has anyone else noticed how many "18 year old" girls are on this site? Do you think it might have something to do with the minimum age requirement being 18?

Everything in moderation. Occasional splurges.

Gloria Estefan. I'm not latina.

A 12 oz New York steak and maybe roasted asparagus.

The worst was over by about 2000. Girl Scout Cookies. Last week I went over by about 1,200 - I should have read the label on those Wagyu beef patties before I bought them.

Oh, I've got Ice Ice Baby on my iPod. I like to rap along to it, but just the background ("Will it ever stop?" "Police are on the scene!") Also Me So Horny, Jump (Kris Kross), Baby Got Back, Insane in the Brain and various other 90's gems. lol I owned that Milli Vanilli album - it was great for exercising with!

I just checked my diary for 5 weeks ago and it said "If every day were like today, you'd weigh 197.3 lbs in 5 weeks" - which would be a 14 lb loss in 5 weeks. Well, THAT didn't happen and I don't expect it to (I'm actually 6 lbs down from 5 weeks ago). I usually ignore that number. It's just a meaningless calculator that…

How tall are you? In your profile you say your former weight/goal weight is 133 and you have an ED...maybe that's not a healthy weight and people are genuinely worried about you.
