202.4 for me. A loss at all is a good thing as today is (unexpectedly) CD1, Saturday was my birthday, and I'm sidelined due to knee issues. I'm supposed to hear from an ortho this week to get an appointment to see what can be done for my hurting, crackling knee... And maybe I'll be able to get back on track after that.

I lost about 1.5 pounds. That's it. However. I LOST THIRTY-SIX INCHES. THREE FEET. It works. Big time.
-
I looked at it and thought "grain of salt." There is, according to this specific chart, no "overweight." Just average or obese. So, I figure probably 3% or so from each side make up the "overweight" category... but that's just me.

I looked at that one, too, but had a question about the measurement. It asks for a waist measurement, but doesn't mention if it's waist at navel or waist at smallest point of torso. For me, the difference is about 5%, so I want to know, not only because it's over a range-border, but also because it's worth doing right if…

I can't compare and contrast for you, as I don't belong to a gym, but I did do the 30 Day Shred (29 days in my case, but still). I went into the shred hoping for a huge weight loss, like I see from everyone who posts about it. All told, I lost about 1.5 pounds. That was not where my spectacular results came from. Here's…

For those recommending the Body Fat Index: I see it asks for a waist measurement. Is it looking for the waist at the navel, or is it looking for the "natural waist" measurement?

At 5'6", 200# and lightly active, I also have 1700 calories to use daily. It takes more for the bigger, heavier and/or more active people to run their bodies, so we have more to use. Basically, if it takes one person 2200 calories to maintain their weight, and another 1700, they will have correspondingly different numbers…

Like I said, big sling geek. My other thought is maybe an ERGO - I had a Babyhawk when my munchkin was tiny and *loved* it. I loaned it to a cousin, and I miss it. XD Now that the little is bigger (coming up on three, when did that happen?!?), I'd kill for my ERGO. It's so unusual to see other babywearing mamas out there!…

I have had my thyroid checked, but it all came back normal. o.o;; Really, the purpose of this comment is to gawk at your sling - is that a Babyhawk? It's GORGEOUS! So are the littles, but I'm a big sling-geek. :blushing:

Honestly? As I'm sure everyone and their uncle has said here, it sounds like stress delayed your ovulation (or completely canned it for this cycle), and your body is either having a very long cycle, ramping up to a true ovulation, or you may have just skipped. Every time I see something like this (someone, somewhere with…

Healthy Forms tells me I'm at 37%. This morning, my scale (which also does body fat) told me 46.5. Who knows, really, which is accurate. It's like watches - a man with one watch knows the time. A man with two watches is never quite certain. XD

You eat those calories back to keep your supply up. Definitely eat! And grab a glass of water while you're nursing! To add, you go into your food diary and enter "breastfeeding" into the search bar. It will bring up several options, you choose the one that fits your situation, and you're off!

I lost 36" doing 30DS. I haven't tried any others for comparison, though. ^_^

Howdy from London-Area, ON! It's raining here now, so my weeding project is on the back burner. Whoops. SAHM to a very active almost 3-yo boy, shooting for a size 8. ^_^

I also did 30 (29) consecutive days. It got to the point that if I miss a day, I get cranky. Very odd.
-
I did 29 days before my bum knee got the better of me. In those 29 days, I lost 36 inches overall. I measured wrist, bicep, above bust, under bust, natural waist, belly, hips, thigh, calf and ankle. The most impressive numbers were 4" from each thigh, 5" from my belly, 3" from my waist, and 4.75" from my hips. I still have…

i get up about 8. I sit down, drink a bottle of water, then exercise. My son wakes up around 9:30. Rather than forcing him into things, though, I work around his schedule. Obviously, as it's just the two of us, that's easier. I don't know how that would work out with two (or more!) littles, though. The nutshell, I…

My goal for this week is to not give a flying rat's *kitten* about what the scale says, and instead focus on the fact that I've lost OVER TWO FEET from my body size. I'm getting into much better shape than I was, whether or not the scale agrees with me. So there. Maybe I'll wind up showing a loss even with the trying not…

If your baby is exclusively nursing, you need an additional 500 calories - MINIMUM - to keep your production up. If you eat that and find yourself still hungry, bump it to 600. If necessary, 700. I need about 200 additional calories a day for nursing, and my nursling is nearly three years old - 500 for a three month old…

Good morning, ladies! I'm incredibly disappointed. Today's weigh in was 204 even. Despite having not gone over my calories by more than ~25 (and even that overage was only on 3 of the last 30 days!), I'm still posting a 2.4# gain this week. So incredibly disheartening.
-
It is HARD. It is also totally worth it. I saw fat lot of ZERO scale results. But, as of 8 days ago, I'd lost 26.75" overall. No change on the scale, but I'm dropping clothing sizes like woah. Totally worth it.
-
Dread it. Dread, dread, DREAD it. I weigh daily to keep track of the general trend. The last three weeks have shown me bouncing around and going nowhere, and this past week has me climbing back up to the weight I was at a month ago. I'm SO FRUSTRATED with this. I've lost 27" and gained three pounds. GAH.

I'm nursing my nearly-three-year-old. If you put "breastfeeding" into your food diary, there are a bunch of options (including nursing - minimal feedings / older child) for you to choose from. If your baby is exclusively BF, make sure you account for as many calories as you can - as I recall, en exclusively BFing mama…

Still here, just lurking! I've finished through day 24, which is my 4th day on Level 3. In the first ten days, I lost 17 inches (core, right and left). In the first 15, that jumped to 19, and as of day 20 (end of level 2), it was 26.75. I'm excited to see what the next six days bring, but kind of wondering what happens…

Thank you so much for the beautiful chart, Rach! That's some hard work keeping up! My goal this week... to actually lose weight. I HATE MY SCALE. Today, I bounced back up .8 pounds. Two days ago, I was the same weight, it's like yesterday took a dip just because. I'm apparently stuck at an average of 202, and not moving AT…

There's a very simple reason I'm angry about this stuff. It's because it has happened to me, and people who react like Arnold did are basically saying that overweight people *deserve* any rotten treatment they get. That hacks me off something fierce. Plus, Arnold was suggesting that if the OP had just proven she was trying…

Interesting. Random duplicate post. Go figure. Ooh, taking advantage of my duplicate to say schobert101, This is an entirely different point. From your post, you sound like someone who would have a decent bedside manner. You'll note that the people complaining actively here are complaining not necessarily about doctors…
-
Also, Arnold, if you pay any attention at all, you'll see it has EVERYTHING to do with bedside manner. If a doctor wants to gently bring up weight issues, and perhaps make suggestions, that's fine. FINE. But, to take a look at a patient in the office, get a blood pressure cuff, put it on, say "Wow, you are significantly…

I've talked about it with two GPs and a midwife. Hated every minute of it, because they *WOULDN'T LISTEN.* I'd tell them what I eat in a day, they'd give me a look that says, loud and clear, "uh-huh... and where are you hiding the chips now?" They'd tell me to get out more and cut down my portion sizes... and not a one of…

Goals... Oh, goals. 1) Keep drinking more water. 2) Stick with the 30DS - 8 days left! 3) Make reasonable, responsible choices. 4) Bring my scale with me. This week, on Thursday, I'm packing up my toddler and we're driving seven or eight hours to Chicagoland to visit my mom. I'm packing bento lunches for us for Thursday,…
