definitely not just for skinny people. personally, i love it. losses my body, relaxes my mind, strengthens my core. if you want something that burns more calories and has some of the benefits, i would look into Pilates.

HOW MANY CALORIES DO YOU BURN SHOUTING!!! just joking.. but seriously, everyone burns at different variations. how hard are you working, how much do you weigh, how tall are you? even with all those answers you still wont get an accurate burn till you buy a HRM.
