  • Try more fiber dense food like broccoli or stringless snow peas? I try herbal tea first, then chew gum and then grab the peas
  • Try your tape measure. Sometimes as we lose the fat but add muscle you will see a weight gain. Hang in there!
  • Awoke this morning to... shovel show. The only bonus to this is that I have some of my exercise in already. NSV... wearing my size 10 pants daily now... WOOT! Come on SPRING!!! Happy Progress Everyone!!! :drinker:
  • Wrangler or Levis used to make a fit called "Pro Rodeo" the football players bought them because they were cut bigger in the thigh. Check online, Tractor Supply or a Western shop.
  • Monday Motivation: I tried on a bunch of dresses I have not worn since '06 and save for 2 with a more fitted waist....they FIT!!! Happy Progress Everyone!! PeachesStateGal... best wished headed your way.
  • The way I interpreted her post was this: Yes, he was an insensitive *kitten* for the way he expressed himself. It doesn't sound so much that he doesn't fancy her because she gained the weight back but because she has changed by falling back into old, unhealty habits because of her stressful life. Perhaps they really just…
  • BUMP is kind of a "bookmark" to let you find a post again

  • Pizza is my Kryptonite :) I take the smallest slice on the pie, cut it in 1/2 and eat it slowly... just really enjoying the flavors. For me, it has been all about MODERATION until I got a handle on eating properly. Hang in and good luck!

  • My scale played a little "April Fool's" joke on me yesterday and told me I was 149. I knew it was kidding but I am happy for my progress. I am weight-training, so I know I will have to depend on the tape measure more and the scale less but the scale prank on top of the SNOW made me sad :explode:   Slowly but…
  • My BFF has fibromyalgia and some other complications that go with. One has to take it day by day and do the best you can on that day. In her situation she has found that exercise helps, sometimes the best she can do is pool-based exercise and other times it is treadmill or walking. Each person has to figure out what works…
  • This and let everyone else figure it out or ask
  • I've had pretty good luck with Maurices Jeans (5'8 but 33 inseam). I hate the ones with stretch but once I hit goal I'll be back in my older, no-stretch Maurice's Jeans :)
  • I take 1200 as a guideline/starting point. On those crappy days where I sit inside and read all day, I try to not go much under. On the more active days, I try to stay between 1200 & 1500 and watch that I am not "wasting" calories on junk food.
  • So yesterday was HRA; height, weight, blood draw etc. Weigh is about the same as last year's assessment but because I started my new food life in Jan., I am hoping my numbers will be better this year. • 5'8 and just lost the first 10. Not noticing a lot when I look in the mirror but my knee is happier. I use myfitnesspal for the portion/healthy eating part and I just started going back to the gym. Most of my exercise it walking and now the weights for toning!
