So many comments talking about MTG... Must... resist... but I want to play sooooo badly!
-
Haha fair enough! Congratulations again on your success. It's clear that you worked very hard (and I'm sure, continue to). And again, thank you!!!
-
Thank you so much!!! It has been a while since I commented, and I worried that my question was stupid, hence the lack of replies. Haha  Appreciate the info!!

I'll have to look into it. While we take our gaming seriously, we also play to our character flaws and builds accurately, so really funny/inappropriate situations come up. This sounds perfect! Haha thanks for the suggestion.

Same amount. It's all bloating for me, and it's so bad that pants will tighten!!!! I get terrible hunger and cravings, but I try to allow for them with calories. If I don't have enough to indulge, I will find a similar substitute that is within my cals. My TOM is super funky, especially now that I've had my second kiddo a…

^I agree. I'd say lightly active or active. Breaking a sweat makes me think more on the active spectrum, but it's only 3.5 hours?!? Hmmm... somewhere in that range though. Also, if it doesn't change your total calories, have you set your loss to 2lbs/week? Is it staying right at 1200? If so, that might be why it isn't…

Those that play from home with their own groups usually do play for that amount of time. The meet-ups set up by the company (all over the U.S.) are usually 2ish hours. It's still quite a commitment though
-
I totally get it

Isn't that amazing! We have a guy that bounces from group to group and even DMs on occasion. He got into it when it was just D&D. He says that this might be his favorite (5e that is).

OOOoooOOO come back! It's still amazing and they've added new races you can play

Something that helped me stay motivated was knowing if I quit today, I would kick myself in three months when I could be 10ish lbs lighter (obviously different goals will give different numbers). It's tough when you have a long distance to go for your goal. I'm there with you. Set smaller goals! Reward yourself with each…

I squeeze it into my day WITH them when I can. If it's nice, I jog next to him when we walk to school. I can get a 35 minute workout round trip. I also tell my 5 year old that we will do a Zumba DVD, and he will keep bugging me until I do it. Haha sometimes we will walk to the park to let the kiddos play, instead of just…

Instead of driving my son to school, I jogged next to him and he speed walked. AND I enjoyed it haha

Oh, I bet. It's probably because it's getting really popular again. It's no longer a "bad" thing to enjoy table top stuff. It was nearly impossible to find a used player's handbook for D&D. Anytime a used book store gets one, they sell it immediately.

I have always wanted to learn MTG. :disappointed: I heard it's a pretty large financial commitment It does take time. The meet-ups I do are 2 hours/week in the evening once / week. For me, it is my get away time to be alone and without two kids haha  Many of the people I play with have only ever played 3rd edition…

Forgot to quote you when I asked my question.

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I saw these comments this morning, but I only had my little iPod on me, and commenting is a huge hassle. I think I've heard about Sword Coast. Have you tried it?
-
I don't work for the group or anything, but I believe this site gives you locations to find D&D meet-ups. http://www.meetup.com/topics/dnd/ ^That link might be more in line with finding a permanent group, or a missing member, aka a DM or player http://dnd.wizards.com/playevents ^That link will take you to places that host…

Congrats! My question might not pertain, but since I saw you mention the 5X5 lifting program, I figured I'd ask just in case... Is a program like that available or possible 100% from home, more meaning one with limited equipment? My husband and I own our healthcare business, and we don't have money to spend on memberships…

Food prep is huge. That should help, tons!!! Good luck.

That is wonderful. Movement is movement!!! I'd try one of many sites to get that number for you. Remember that you probably will get a number that doesn't sound like a "diet" and that is kind of what's wonderful. it has to be something you can stick with. I'm currently eating about 1650 net (but usually over 1800…

They are roughly the same. For more accuracy, I suggest googling "BMR and TDEE calculator" http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html ^Here is one, for example. Once you get your TDEE, you should subtract 500 from the TDEE for 1lb / week loss. However, you want to make sure it isn't less than your BMR…
-
Oh, I put 25 haha... let me get the new numbers. You said you workout 2-3 x / week. Is it light, medium , heavy? How long?
-
With a guess on your age, I got you BMR at 1700+ and a TDEE of 2050, set at sedentary since I didn't know the details of your workouts. This was based on mid 20s, no exercise. This doesn't give you a big window for a deficit, but it looks like you should be eating much more than 1200 to support normal functions. You…

How old are you? I will put your numbers in and give you a suggestion if you'd like?!

2 lbs seems amazing. I think a majority of people, when they start out, set it to that. The problem is that it will most likely wipe you out. That will lead to quitting, rebounding, etc.. While 2 sounds amazing, 1 lb is more realistic. You still might find that more comes off in the beginning, but aim for 1, and eat for…

This, both parts. When I gave caffeine up for pregnancy, it was a good few days of headaches before it went away. I want to double stress the calorie deficit. With 20 lbs to lose, you need to adjust your goal to a smaller one.

The best advice I can give, some of the best advice I received in the beginning, was to make sure to keep eating foods you love. Make healthy choices, but don't take away foods you enjoy. Just get a food scale, measure everything, and if you have to (as most people suggest it) pre-log your food each day. Those things will…
