Hi I'm sending you a friend request.

Advice: Stop eating your calories back! The Purpose of counting them is to limit them. If you eat them back are you really eating 1200 calories as prescribe? Eating them back just undoes your accomplishment regardless of what MFP says about eating them back. Make sense to you? Eating calories back occasionally for some…

I'm at 1230 now and find it challenging but very doable. I was at 1200 for a couple months, but now I'm more active. I'm 5' 3", 216 (Weighing in today). I am losing to reach a 10% reduction in my starting weight right now. I ultimately want to get to 150. Having a 1200/1230 calorie allotment has really taught me to be a…

On days that I care, I wear a thong. Sometimes I just don't. You know?

It's a good thing you're not the decider @brianpperkins

Thank you @MeanderingMammal

What? Single figure expenditure? Elaborate please. Further afterburner is not trivial. A calorie burned is a calorie burned. Yes? The longer one maintains a heart rate above the usual resting rate they will burn calories at an accelerated rate. Weight training builds muscle. Muscle burns more calories. Therefore weight…

I do cook a majority of my food. I have to. I am careful, it's my life I'm wagering. I know you know that lots of foods have unnecessary sodium added, so I have to cook fresh veggies, fish, meat etc. Thank you again.
-
Thanks I will take a look at it again. MFP allows me to keep a good track of my sodium and potassium as long as I am honest in my entries. I'm pretty used to eating within my caloric count and my sodium is always slow. I believe the dash diet will help me out even more.

My doctor actually told me that he would give me 3 months. He saw that I was serious with the weight I had loss already. I need to lose about the same. Need to get my BMI down in the 20s. It's in the high 30s right now. Thanks for sharing.

You're my HERO! Thanks for sharing.

No, I don't. It's a trick that can leave so discouraged that you quit trying. >:) You are actually yo-yoing yourself. Logically if you work them off and eat them back (regularly) why did you workout anyway? It's just delaying yet again your INEVITABLE weight loss. Now, occasionally eating them back is cool, but this is all…

That's great. I told my doctor during my last physical in October I wanted to try to lose weight instead of continuing my med, Hyzaar. He told me the he didn't recommend it, but he could not compel me to keep taking it. I had lost 6 lbs. at that point now I'm at 8 and counting. Gotta go check my pressure today. <3 I also…

How much weight had you loss when you began to see results? This study I found says 8 to10 lbs. loss will lower it. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0005068/ I'm there. Now I'm focusing on my BMI.

I measure weekly right now, but I may follow you & start every 2 weeks. I weight myself 5 days weekly, it's motivating and instructive for me. :D

Actually most of the beneficial calorie burning from weight lifting comes from the afterburner effect or EPOC en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Excess_post-exercise_oxygen_consumption You don't burn a lot of calories while lifting, but you raise your metabolism and build muscle that eats calories. That can be measured using a heart…

Wow, I haven't skated in years. How many calories do you burn in a typical hour skating? I might try that again.

Hello everyone! My favorite right now is HIIT Workouts. I design my own including using the elliptical trainer, weight training & body weight exercises (burpees, lunges, crunches, etc.) I like being very physical and trying new exercises. I also use a Timex heart rate monitor and watch to count my calories. I love seeing…

You're welcome. Blessings to you. o:)

I'm going to try your suggestion. Thanks for sharing! :D

Good morning, Are you sure you are measuring your calories correctly? Do you use the food labels, a scale, measuring spoons and cups to determine if you are eating the correct amount? If not, you are not putting in the correct information into MFP. I noticed that you were using a smartphone in your pic. Try scanning the…

Good morning all. I personally use a Timex Ironman Road Trainer heart rate monitor (chest strap) and watch combo to properly track my calories torched and time spent. I input it under a title I create like "Next Move DVD" and consider it to be cardio just like @CyberTone suggested.

Jillian is the real deal. You will torch calories if you do half of what she does. I've tried to do the 30 Day Shred, but flamed out. I just don't like conforming on that level. I still do either level whenever I want to do a prescribed workout for a sure fire torching of mega calories, but I mostly make my own HIIT…

My favorites :D :* Fresh fruit sprinkled in plain, fat-free greek yogurt with a little plain, fat-free greek yogurt with a little calorie free sweetner to counter the the betterness. (70 calories plus the calories in the fruit) * Half cup of plain, fat-free greek yogurt with a half tablespoon of honey. (100 calories) *…
