O, just remembered, #1 exercise that I had to do Post - back sugery: Walking!

You don't mess up your sciatica - that's the name for the pain you get when there's pressure on your sciatic nerve... it can have many causes and many symptoms. Everything Disneygirl listed is often used for back issues (it's all about strengthening your core and using your abs to support every exercise that you do). If…

Robiny621: A 3500 calorie deficit = 1 lb You are eating 1540 calories per day. How did you get this number? If you put 1lb/week into MFP goals to get this nunber, then that 1540 is the *net* calories that you are supposed to eat and that gives you that 3500 calorie deficit per week. If you burn an additional 1000 calories…

I'd call the company and get their tech support... you've been wearing it for months and it suddenly changed. Doesn't sound right to me!

I use a BodyMedia Link armband. I just checked my calorie burn for 3 hours of cleaning that I did last Sunday: I was mostly sorting piles of clothes, sweeping, pulling things off of shelves to throw away, loading piles of clothes into garbage bags, ~6 bags, and carrying them about 20 feet. When I'm sitting around lounging…

I'll be brand specific since I recently went clothes shopping. I'm 5'10.75" (though I usually say 5'11"). Current weight: 148 Peak Weight within past 2 years: ~185 (post back surgery!) Ann Taylor: Dresses, At 172-175, I wore 8's (uncomforably snug when sitting) and 10's. Dresses, At 148, I'm wearing 6's. Tops, at 172-175…

Wow! The dress just has a completely different look now, and the dark side panels are really working for you! You look fantastic :)

Realizing that you are never "done." If you start relaxing, the weight will come back.
-
Great job! I can definitely see your smaller waist - I'm also mesmerized by your striped dress because when I scroll up and down it flickers on my screen in an odd way. lol =)

I think you have to do the all over fat loss by lifting weights. I'm 5'11" and 149.5 lbs right now. Certainly not fat, but I still have a mush belly (it looks flat-ish from the side view, but viewed straight on and sitting/bending you can see how much there is to grab on the front and sides). I also have mushy upper-inner…

I do the first option - I log food into MFP and then use my body media armband to tell me the deficit.

I weaned myself off of cream over the course of a few months. I kept using less and less, and now I don't miss it at all. I used to think black coffee just seemed ugh, but now it's great and I don't have to think about calories when I drink it. The only down side is that bad coffee is really blechy when you can't hide it…

Great work! I also really like the retro-style polka dot bathing suit =)

I work out at home after work. I just go to bed as is and shower in the morning =) If I feel super duper nasty, I'll rinse off before bed, but usually I don't.

I'm 5'11" and currently 151.5, so I'm pretty much at/near goal weight - I want to start lifting soon (I was lifting up until 2 months ago , but I'm in physical therapy now and I was told to stop). Anyway, before using my BMF, I had been eating 1400 calories net and I lost weight steadily. I started using the BMF on March…

If you're "nibbling" every day, then definitely log it, but if you take a bite of someone's steak or whatever just to taste it, I wouldn't bother logging it as long as you're not someone who has difficultly losing weight. If you are someone who struggles losing weight (lots of plateaus or very slow loss or slight gain…

That's fantastic! I'm now about 151 lbs, but clearly I'm bigger than you because I'm more like an 8/10 =) I want to be working out and lifting now, but my physical therapist is making me wait due to back issues... argh! :grumble:
-
Awesome! That's usually one of things you think of to say after you've missed your moment, but you got it right on cue!! :flowerforyou:

There's Something About Mary (the hitchhiker scene). Step into my office. (Why?) Because you're f*cking fired! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rb7FgSzeGqg) The Room. Lisa: Do you want me to order a pizza? Johnny: Whatever. I don't care. Lisa: I already ordered a pizza. [If you're looking to add to your bad quotes…

Great, now you've just made me want fried pickles! ;-) Unfortunately, I don't have anything remotely close to satisfying that particular craving right now...

I imagine most women aren't jealous of men's bodies. The only ones who would be are probably transgendered or just into an androgynous look... but the majority of women probably want a woman's body with curves and breasts, so there's nothing to be jealous of with a man's curve-less body (skinny or otherwise). OP are you…

So I wrote that on 3/27 (about a month ago). I've since moved to eating 1800-2000 calories a day (generally), and I've lost 4-5 more pounds... I think I can easily bump up to 2500 calories a day and maintain just based on my body media fit numbers. [I noticed that on a particular day recently where I sat on my butt all day…

Great job! and you'll get that 20, no prob :-)

I really like her Body Revolution because you get to do different things each day. I did it for about 3 weeks until I started physical therapy and they told me I had to stop working out for a while (back issues). I definitely plan on going back to it as soon as I get the all clear to do it! It starts a bit easier than…

I remember that I thought the first week was so easy. Then the 3 minute runs were fine. 5 minutes? Ok, I can get through this. But when I got to the 20 minute run I thought "that's a huge jump!" and I was nervous. I had this mental trick I'd been using where I'd just think of my run in small segments, but I couldn't do it…

The real danger is that because of this, I just spent 10 minutes watching cats on treadmills and then animals playing dead.

I'm 5'11" and ~157 lbs. My TDEE seems to vary between 2300 and 2900 (according to my new Body Media Fit). My BMR is 1502 in the Harris-Benedict formula. I'd been eating 1400 (+ exercise) cals for 5 weeks. I lost weight the entire time. It wasn't bad for that time period, but I realized last week that I didn't want to drop…

I definitely notice it when doing things like marching in place with high knees. Everyone is going 1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2 really fast, and I'm like WOAHHH! My leg is still on its way down! haha

Ah, ok. I had heard about the 1.5% incline, but even 1% bothers my back (I had lower back surgery last summer). I put the incline at 5% because it's the most I can go without feeling it in my back right now. I understand that the mechanics have to be different when you run on a treadmill vs outside; however, I didn't…
