thanks, i meant what are you doing to burn that amount?
-
thanks, that's helpful. yes, i've been weighing everyday, so that can be discouraging. I'm sure looking at it a month at a time is probably a better mental way to approach it. I just recently started measuring & lost a couple of inches so that was rewarding too and makes the scale a bit less scary. thanks for the help!
-
I'm sorry. I know it can be so discouraging, but don't give up, as you will definately gain gain gain if you do. What's been working for me to sort of get my head in the right place was to start "adding" food in to my diet and sort of ignore the calories (in the beginning). By adding in fruits & veges ( i'm juicing) your…

When I was losing, I worked out 6 days per week, only about 30-45 minutes per day. It took a lot of work to get my metabolism to work for me, as my hypothyroidism tells it to work AGAINST me. Muscle burns more calories, even at rest, than fat does. :flowerforyou: [/quote] thanks, that's good to know, as I've got…

thank you, that's encouraging. your metabolism is definately working for you!
-
You're awesome ~ thank you! I'm going to get my pen & paper & calculator out now ;)....thanks again!
-
That's a good idea, thanks so much
-
thanks, have you been losing at this rate since the beginning? Do you exercise a lot?
-
thank you, the details are really helpful. I've got a way to go before I get close to your level of exercise.
-
thank you, I'm going to have to do a bit more research to completely understand this, which is good, always trying to learn & improve.. ....but the bottom line for now i get is 1550.
-
thank you, congrats on 15lbs to go....what is your total loss and what's worked best for you?
-
I appreciate the feedback, all the info. helps me to make an informed plan as things progress.
-
thank you, are you doing this with or without exercise?
-
Thank you for the feedback, that's encouraging. I hope to start exercising soon. I've had health issues.
-
Yes, I'd like to know too. And what is "TDEE"
-
thank you, how much do you exercise or how many calories are you burning daily/weekly?
-
That's great, thanks, so what do you suggest?
-
So you're eating 2500 calories per day and losing 1 lb a week? Are you doing a lot of exercise? What are your weight loss "tools"?
-
Wow! So are you doing a lot of exercise? How do you eat? What do you credit for this average weight loss?
-
OK...I'm ignorant, is 1 KG equivalant to 1lb or 2? I agree about the kind of calories. In fact when I began losing I wasn't counting calories.I was only focusing on adding in nutrients, usually by way of juicing, and eating whatever I wanted besides that. The beauty of that is that by adding the nutrients you very quickly…

Samcat, so how is this working for you? What are you averaging in your weight loss? Also, I get the low blood sugar thing...what do you crave when you get it. I crave protein and have to eat right away of course when it happens.
-
That's what I've read, that you would most likely slow down your metabolism (starvation mode). However, I don't think that's a given for everybody, just the rule of thumb type thing. I also believe it depends on your weight and your genes and your own individual body constitution.
-
Your loss / time frame seem to be similar to mine. How much do you exercise? Or how many calories are you burning with exercise?
-
Thank you, NOT a dumb question. Well, over a 2 mo. period in retrospect, it averages out to 2lbs. per week, however, I'm not actually losing 2lbs. every week. I've had a couple of big losses in a week, ie: 7lbs., 5lbs., type thing, but have gone beyond 2 weeks a couple of times without showing a loss or minimal at best,…
-
Wow that's great considering you only had 18 lbs. to lose! Sounds like you're incorperating a lot of exercise. I appreciate all the feed back
-
you burn 2700 per week, i'm assuming? how do you burn that amount?
-
thank you, that's encouraging
-
I have 90 to go!

I can tell. If you look at the top picture you can see that the top curve (under your top line) is more curved. Bottom picture shows same top curve reduced, as a straight line more or less .... not curved. Also your inner tummy looks more defined in bottom picture. Also, your bottom curve is the slightest bit reduced...…
