I wish there was martial arts instruction where I live. Nearest studio is 70 miles... I never got to learn as a kid (parents couldn't afford it) and since adulthood I've been living in the sticks...

Chicken breast roasted (at home) and sliced. Lean protein! I also like greek yogurt (yopa is my current brand). If I'm low on fats for the day I do peanut butter on whole wheat bread. Of all the snacks, though, apples are probably the one I should be having more of. They're just a lot of work to eat... lol

Age: 30 Height: 6'0" SW: 208 CW: 189 GW: 185 Probably will revise the goal weight down to 175-180. I don't believe in BMI and thought I had enough muscle to be healthy at 185. Now that I'm getting close I realize I wasn't as muscular as I thought... =)

I do healthcare statistics and I can tell you that BMI is definitely unreliable. It works to some degree for most people and can be a reasonable indicator of whether or not a person is overweight. However, being under 25 (for a guy) is not a realistic indicator that a person is at a healthy weight. The reason we use BMI is…

I don't know if I could help you... lately I've been listening to Smashing Pumpkins (Machina I) and Switchfoot (all albums). I put my Irish station on sometimes for cardio and my classic punk station for strength.

Sexy = proportionate. Body type be what it may, someone who takes reasonable care of herself and has self-respect is attractive. Major bonus points for IQ > 130. =P "Skinny fat" (you know, the size 0 that just lets herself go) is not as attractive as a well-taken-care-of size 16 (think Christina Hendricks).

I don't usually drink much water. My technique is to take a 16 ounce water bottle to the gym and drink a substantial amount after every set. The repetition makes it habitual, and I usually get through three bottles in my 75 minute workout.

Good stuff. I'm honestly not sure what mine was. My parents hated rock and roll so I didn't have many. If I had to guess I'd say it was Meat Loaf.

I think YMMV based on age level and situation. I'm a bit more attracted to everyone (although my libido has decreased, oddly enough). Perhaps my struggle with getting back to a healthy weight has helped me be more open-minded about what 'attractive' is.

I had a bad weekend (ate mac and cheese, Chinese chicken, etc). however... Failure = never coming back. Most of the world's great successes (people, businesses, etc) started as temporary failures and then bloomed. Never stay down and you're never a true failure. Great job getting started again!
