How fantastic for you!!! You're hard work is showing...strut your stuff! ;)

Zumba is my all time, hands down, favorite work out ever! It's fun because it's dancing with some good music and I burn 928 calories in an hour doing it! I love it! If you have the Wii you can get zumba on that as well for cheaper than the zumba dvd's and it's still a great workout!!

I used to enter Zumba as Cardio-dance, fast pace. For me, it posts a much lower calorie burn than I reallly do burn...realized that after I bought a heart rate monitor and found out I was actually burning 928 calories in an hour instead of the 430 MFP was estimating!
-
I also have a Timex one...paid $70 for it and am very happy with it. It came with a chest strap as well and has an alarm on it that beeps when my heart rate goes lower so I can pick up speed to stay at a good calorie burn level. I am so happy I bought it because for me, the estimations on here for things like zumba, house…

They have the BEST filling, taste for a chocolate muffin! I have been making them for years! I even have fooled my 7 year old into liking them and he is a picky eater! He loves them and they are thrilled that mommy will let them have "chocolate" for breakfast! lol

I tried my Zumba for the Wii the other day and I burned over 300 calories in just one of the 20 minute work outs! IMO, you burn way more calories doing Zumba.

Me too! I am on a 1200 calorie plan and I find that I go over every day I do not exercise! I do Zumba three to four times a week and then life has to take over eventually and we have a lot going on....it's a task to keep my sessions each week with our busy schedules. That's why I'm such a stinker and track cleaning house…

CONGRATULATIONS! What a great accomplishment!

Yum! Sounds great...thanks for sharing!

Here is a good article that I found helpful. http://www.cocktailatlas.com/All_In_The_Mix/Mix.htm Try to substitute for diet versions to save calories. You can also try to fill up on water before going out and maybe alternate between a mixed drink, then a water, etc. Have some of the "naughty" foods if it's killing you,…

I just posted as my status my new chocolate find that I am in love with and it's a great go-to for when I'm craving chocolate! My husband came back from Sam's Club with these and I love him for it! At Sam's they came with two boxes of each (haven't found them in the grocery store yet): Reese's 100 calorie peanut butter…

I have loved the support on here! It's been great to track calories, exercise and do my weigh-ins....and for FREE!!! While I do slip quite a bit on my eating (especially at night snack or if we go out), I make sure I'm getting exercise on a daily basis. I am allowed 1200 calories for the day which can be tough to stick to…

I have read many things in the past that magnesium supplements can sometimes help prevent migraines/headaches, but as many have said already, there are a ton of triggers and each person has a different trigger. I've suffered with migraines (I also get cluster migraines and headaches which means mine can last for 3 to 7…

I am in the same boat with you! I wish I could run, but my bad knees won't allow it. Treadmill was boring to me and I'd have to be on it for over an hour to burn the number of calories I wanted to. I'm a mom to 2 busy little boys, do transcription from home and run them around to various school activities, so anything more…

Maybe try to drink lots of water before eating so you feel more full. Eat slow so you feel when you're full in time and try to do things like eat half a piece of meat being served, small portions of the naughty stuff if you absolutely can't skip, but at least you get a taste! When we have dinner at my mother-in-laws, I…

When you click on the "my home" tab at the top middle of the webpage, you should see an alert at the top highlighted in red. Click on the messages and click the accept buttons for each person. Welcome & good luck! :)

Have you talked to your doctor about the possibility of being depressed? I recently went back on medication for depression and it has helped me to keep my mind at more of an even keel, which in turn has helped with trying to keep motivated on healthy food and exercise. Feel free to message me privately if you want to talk…

I've been curious about those....are you basically just walking in place for these? Good for you for sticking it out! :)

I have one on a sandwich thin for lunch just about every day! 35 cals for the cheese wedge, sandwich thin is 100 calories, then I use turkey bologna (50 calories I think) and add some pretzel sticks or some white cheddar cheese (Smartfood brand) popcorn bag that's 100 calories and I have a nice lunch! :) We also spread…

yes, crystal light counts as water intake for the day. It's all I drink all day as well....can't stand the bland taste of water so it's the only way for me! :)

There is a product out there made by Monistat (I know, just get over the maker! lol) that is called "Chafing relief powder gel" and it's the best thing ever invented. I was always told to use baby powder, but let's face it...that's messy and leaves white residue! This stuff is so great that my husband uses it when he runs…

Thanks everyone! If I substitute the applesauce for the oil...is it the same amount? As in if it calls for 2/3 cup of oil, do I use 2/3 cup of applesauce instead?
-
This has been my replacement for soda. I can't stand plain water...it's boring to me and I'd never get in enough fluids if I had to just drink water. According to two people in my family who have done WW, Crystal Light counts as water consumption.

I've been here for a week and a half and love the "stranger" support as well! :) All of the ideas from everyone are wonderful as well and you finally can feel like you're not having to do it all alone. Feel free to add me as a friend for support if you'd like...I'm a busy mom of 2 very busy young boys! :) Good luck to you!

My whole life I have been a carb-o-holic! I have had to make the huge change and keep out the potates, rice, etc. from our dinner because I can't control myself when I make those for dinner! I always do a lean meat and lots of veggies. I also try to eat my salad before I eat dinner. I am always hungry before my husband…

Walmart has zumba for wii fro $36....I take actual zumba classes and love them to death...don't want to do anything else but that! I am hoping to pick up zumba for my wii soon to supplement at home when I don't have scheduled classes.
-
I would definitely go with Zumba DVD's for a fantastic cardio work out! You easily burn a good amount of calories and it's fun! If you have a Wii, they have a zumba workout for that that's under $40. Otherwise, you can buy the DVD set that is I think $60, but you can probably find them cheaper on Craigslist or ebay I would…

I love green beans! I typically either steam them in the microwave or roast them. Then I love to spritz them with some spray butter and whatever spice I feel like sprinkling on (my favorite is Garlic & Wine seasoning).

Welcome & good luck on your journey! I am a mom of 2 as well and am way overdue for taking care of me. My youngest just turned 5, however, so I waited too long! lol The support on here has been amazing and everyone has a ton of advice!
