I'd say good in moderation, "enough" is good for you. Chowing down on a whole slab of cheese isn't the best idea though.

I'd personally expect the guy to offer, but would also expect the woman to refuse and offer to split it. Seems to be the modern way!
-
Could be possible you're overdoing it. Certain exercises I can only do in moderation (deadlifts being one), else I feel sick just like you. Switch up the routine a bit and see what works!

It's about learning to love yourself for what you are. For some people losing weight helps. For others, building muscle, seeing friends is the perfect "pick-me-up." It may be something as simple as the social events you actually attend are simply not your cup of tea and you aren't at your best. Either way, best of luck…

Yep...

Sure why not, we'd grab a beer...

Often you get really demotivated when you feel a lack of progress, or have too high an expectation! Don't run before you can walk... (both metaphorically and literally), do a bit at a time and work it up. As you get fitter it becomes more fun and you become addicted to the progress!

Yeah, I agree, we should all be considerate, but how are we meant to know that someone else is waiting for the equipment if they don't ask? Often you see people lurking around, but if I'm working out, there is no way I'm going out of my own way to ask them if they want to use the equipment... If they're not confident to…
-
I can see many people on this topic (including myself) use their phone to log their stats, which to me isn't a problem. If someone wants to use the equipment in between sets I have no problem with it, they just have to bother asking.

Absolutely not.

I'm very pleased for you, well done for finding something that works and you're happy with!

I would feel inclined to agree! Apparently he saved 15 shots in the match, the highest number of saves made in a World Cup match since they started keeping record in 1966! Wow!
-
Couldn't agree more, I went in all nervous initially, but most of them give you advice and just respect the fact you're there to do the same thing as them. We all start somewhere, in the next 5 years you could be as big or bigger one of the strong guys.

Oh I do hope so, I was cursing when I first got them in my work sweepstake, but having seen them play, they look good enough to win it!

You need to make sure it stays off. You said it yourself. Is 1200 calories net and working out really hard the key to keeping the weight off? No. It isn't, if your regime is not maintainable then you won't keep the weight off. 5lbs in a month is about right, if you drop your calories and work out too much it knocks your…

Hi both, Nope, I can't find the time as every weekend I am based on an airfield 70 miles from home. I travel down on a Friday evening and have work commitments that restrict going to the gym in the mornings. Hence why I said I couldn't do Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Thanks to the rest of you for the constructive posts,…

I wouldn't worry about it, like the first person said, the glycogen stores are probably now replenished. I actually gain 4/5 pounds when I switch to maintenance, so I wouldn't worry too much about a couple of pounds difference!

Perfect, couldn't have said a better answer in as few words.

They doe spake proper! I was beginning to think I was the only one! Friend request sent! (though my activity on here is usually in bursts, I always come back though...)

"World" It comes from when I was little, when we were learning sounds, our teacher was Irish, so when she said it, it sounded different to everyone else, now I say an odd combination between "werld" and "wuld." Doesn't roll off the tongue though. I also have difficulty in correctly pronouncing "Joe," which is unfortunate…

20-30 minutes north of Birmingham, somewhat a yam yam rather than a brummy though...

I don't really know to be honest, it came off everywhere equally for me I think. The real improvements were when I started lifting to put on muscle rather than just losing weight.

She's just jealous, she'll get over it.

Well, I'm available...

I'd keep measurements of myself such as waist etc. The scales give an indication, but it's how the weight is distributed that makes the key difference!
