  • Hey thanks guys! :smooched: I've been wearing contacts for +10 yrs, so the glasses are new for me. :blushing:
  • @Awesome- Yes. You are rocking that short hair with your feminine features. ^-^
  • My husband apparently has a BMI lower than 95% of American males his age. :frown: And 74% than the global average. He's most like someone from India. I need to keep feeding him...
  • Awesome link! Thanks for sharing! "You have a lower BMI than 89% of females aged 15-29 in your country. You have a lower BMI than 64% of females aged 15-29 in the world. You're most like someone from Japan." Sweet! I love Japan!
  • Plus sized clothes are easy to find in the US. You don't even have to go to a specialty store. I've worked at several clothing stores and retailers, and except for one that specialized in smaller sizes, they all carried plus sizes. Whatever is in Montana, you can probably find some clothes. Have fun!
  • You look like a pin-up!
  • I'm happy just like you!
  • He looks like a country boy.
  • Everyone has different definitions of clean. I've been trying to eat cleaner, and my skin is now glowing. I just eat as many fruits and veggies as I can. Other than that, oatmeal, cheese, milk, and protein powder are my "staples." My diet vastly varies on what we have in the house.
  • Hi! I've been maintaining for a good five months now. I lost 18 lbs. I may lose up to 6 more, but I'm happy where I am for now. I've maintained my weight loss simply by continuing to log. I'm terribly inconsistent about any exercise I get, so I've been eating cleaner and continue to count. The few times I have stopped…
  • Hi and welcome to MFP. If you return to 2000 calories a day, you will probably gain weight back (without exercise) because of the excess calories (more so than your metabolism). It is not necessary to eat 1500 unless it is your BMR. (There is an MFP tool to calculate yours if you don't already know it.) I would argue that…
  • Inconceivable!
  • Height: 5'2.5" Weight: 115 Bust: 32 Waist: 25 Hips: 38 Upper Arm: 11 Thigh: 21 Calf: 12.5 Gosh, I can't believe how big my hips seem in comparison. :blushing: I went from a big pear to a little pear. No smaller jeans for me. Nope. I've only lost 2 inches there.
  • That's almost my exact schedule. Lol. I get off at 11pm though. I'm not so lucky that my husband works the same shift though. His is constantly changing and even includes third shifts. Eating late at night hasn't hampered my fitness journey one bit. (It is annoying though to feel like you're stuffing your face before going…
  • My husband took a while to come around. (We've been married ten months.) While he doesn't bring much junk home, it concerns me what he eats outside the house. He's a fast food manager. I made it clear to him how important his own health is to our relationship, since we both want to live as long as possible together. Flash…
  • Shorter? Sure. Significantly shorter? Uh... honestly, no. I'm barely 5'3", and while I dated a couple of guys who were within an inch of my own height and it didn't bother me, I don't think I could consider dating someone much shorter than me. It would be way too weird, and on the off chance of having children, they'd be…
  • I hardly ever get a workout in. (Terrible, I know.) Therefore, I wouldn't be able to eat anything. Obviously, this isn't true. I eat 1700 a day to maintain at 114. If I exercise, I eat more. You're doing great. In fact, as much as you burn, you could stand to eat much more if you wanted and still lose weight. If ain't…
  • No more than half unless I have a considerable weekly deficit. I don't have an HRM, and I know that MFP's estimates are very generous. I don't want to shoot myself in the foot for all my hard work, but I do deserve a little extra for the effort.
  • It took me over a year to hit my original goal. My top weight was 132 and an estimated body fat of 32%. I'm 5'3" on a good day. I lost the first half pretty easy but hit a wall at 120. I knew my bf% was still too high, so I after a few months of battling, I got down to 115 and have been maintaining around there ever since.…
  • As a woman who has nothing to show, if you got it, flaunt it. Easier said than done though. I often try to hide my derriere because I know it steals people's attention. :blushing: More power to you if you're confident enough to wear whatever you want and to hell with everyone else.
  • I would never do it, no matter how much the money was. I don't have any confidence, but more importantly, I would feel demoralized. Money doesn't mean that much me. More power to the women that can I guess.
  • Oh, I know honey. We have a bit in common. I was a planner too, and then life got in the way of my own plans. I have to say, in my own case, it turned out waaay better than I could have planned, AND I'm happy. (<-That's the key there. Are you happy?) Just saying there is a method to the madness. :drinker:
  • This is twice now that you mentioned your "clock." I know I'm probably younger than you and haven't felt the tug of my own timetable yet, but if there's one thing I've learned since blazing my own trail in life, it's that we can't live according to our own schedule. Life happens, yet we try to plan it all out and put into…
  • My advice is to wait for him. If he does stuff around the house without being asked, he obviously loves you (very very much). [My husband loves me very much, but even he doesn't do stuff around the house.] Give him the time he needs to prepare for marriage mentally, and in the mean time, you can both work on bringing…
  • My grandmother took prednisone for many years to manage her autoimmune hepatitis. Her weight went up and done each time I saw her, and she was often bloated. (It's hard to tell what what was the medicine and what was the disease in some cases.) While she eventually got type II diabetes from all the weight gain due to the…
  • I gained all my excess body fat by eating junk food as much as I wanted (pretty much every meal) and hardly ever exercising. The times that I have exercised and scaled back the processed food, I gained muscle, but I couldn't maintain it. I think the stress and drama of my early college career somewhat aided the weight…
  • I prefer contacts, but because I lack health insurance this year, I'm getting a new pair of glasses (and paying out of pocket). :grumble: While I love glasses, I'm enjoying wearing contacts while I can. I have a hereditary degenerative disease. One of my cousins lost his driver's license on his 30th birthday because he was…
  • I eat every 3 hours or so. Sometimes every 2. And I'm almost always hungry enough to eat but never starving and never full.
  • I only eat it once a week tops, so there's not much to give up. I prefer fish and poultry anyway.
  • Only you know what the best weight for you is. However, there are other factors than BMI and weight to consider. Do you have a large frame? What's your body fat percentage? Are you trying to get to 135 for the number's sake, or is it actually an attainable and healthy goal? It could be that 150 or 145 is a better weight…
