  • I'd love to jump in! I've never done a challenge, so this should be fun (and motivating). :)
  • Personally, I think Lipton tea is cheap. Also, if you're buying to premade kind, they tend to add a lot of extra sugar (unless it's diet). I'd recommend finding a local international market and looking there. Often times the tea is much cheaper and in bulk. :) Oolong tea is also very good for you, but it's comparatively…
  • I've heard that working out and building up your pectoral muscles will help because when you stop working them it turns to fat. Not sure if this is true. I definitely want to try it though, because mine have gotten smaller too, and I never had much to work with. :(
  • Sorry, I forgot to mention that I have a small bone frame. Jean size doesn't matter to me: being healthy does!
  • I hope he wasn't saying that to get you down. There are so many factors other than body frame such as body fat and how your body decides to distribute it. I'm 5'3"ish, weigh 124, and I wear a size 8! My hips are just huge bc of my baby-making genes. :P I don't think you'll know til you get there hon, so try to prove him…
  • I'm not sure which is technically better for your feet, but running on the sand in shoes is super hard. Barefoot beach-running is much easier. I think running closer to the water where the sand is wet should lessen your chance of pulling muscles. Just be careful where you step! ;)
  • So is this your second week for working out/eating right? It could be a hump some people go through around the 2nd week. You could also be building muscle. All I know is, if you're exercising and eating right, don't stop! It'll pay off soon. As far as measuring your waist, it's the smallest part of your torso. For some…
  • Actual coffee has so few calories, that several cups would be less than 10 calories. The best thing is to drink it black, but it's what you put in it that counts. Use a tablespoon or teaspoon from a measuring cup set to portion out any sugar and creamer. At first, each one of my cups of coffee had 100 calories. Now, I'm…
  • As far as drinks, I only count water and teas that haven't been fermented (green or white teas, but not black tea). I think if drinks like coffee are counted, then the water that's naturally in food should count too, if you up your water intake goal.

  • Vegetables are my favorite food group. But despite my bias, I suggest playing with spices. They make things taste great and are pretty much calorie free. For squash and zucchini, I add garlic powder and onion powder. For broccoli, lemon juice and black pepper. They always taste great and never get boring. Just avoid salt!…
  • Your calorie goal is certainly small enough, so I would say start with cutting out processed foods. Limit the foods you get from out of a box, and definitely consider cutting out all white bread if you haven't already. I eat a big breakfast(400 calories), snack all day long on things like fruit and veggies, and eat fish…
