Yes. If I workout in a regular bra and break a sweat, I get very uncomfortable very quickly. It makes my bra feel itchy and weird. The sports bras help with the sweat, but it also gives MUCH better support, and I'm only an A cup.

Maintenance mode is tough at first, and old habits will continue to come back. I've been maintaining for half a year now, and I think it's okay to do what you used to, as long as you don't make it a habit again. Soda, fried food, fast food, whatever is fine as long as you don't do as frequently as you used to. Anyway,…

Glad to see the committee I founded is still around and that not all members have implants yet  But seriously, I'm glad my butt is the only thing men could find to stare at... because I can't see them staring!

*Deleted bc OP posted what I was going to

Looking great man!

That's horrible! Why don't you try saying something in a less polite way? You can be firm and assertive without being rude, but they are trespassing! I know how scary it can be. My neighbor had a guest over one day who came into my yard. I saw her right outside my front window and it freaked me out. Turns out she was…

I'm not a big McD's fan, but a large order of french fries and a hot fudge sundae (yes, for dipping) really hit the spot after a rough night at work.

Spot-on! Wow. First guess too.

Wow! That is so amazing! Not many people can say they've been in a magazine. A huge congratulations for a such an astounding life accomplishment. I'd frame that thing!

It's really not much protein, because I have very little lean body mass. Only 87 lbs actually, and 87g of protein is definitely doable. I am only doing bodyweight exercises for now.

Hey OP, I'm 5'2.5" and started at 132 with 32% body fat. I'm now 113 with ~23%bf. I've lost very little muscle. I made sure to consume 1g of protein per lb of lean body mass, but I had no lbm to begin with. To be at 20%bf like I want, I'd have to weigh ~109 also, but that seems too small. I think trying to gain muscle mass…

Smother them in butter? Cuz yeah, nothing beats buttery brussel sprouts with pepper. I'd say spinach (for the vitamins), oats (because they're so filling and low GI), or chia seeds (provides tons of energy).

I've heard from many people on here that it takes a while for you to process the new version of you. Give it a few more weeks, and I'm sure you'll start noticing the difference. If other people can already see it, your self view just hasn't caught up yet to your new image. It will though, so keep at it. You will definitely…

I work for a large retailer, usually in the clothing area. It doesn't pay much, but it's pretty relaxing folding shirts all day. Sometimes I hop on a register to help the cashiers get the lines down. I love my job. I'm also going back to school in a month, which is another job by itself.

Hello body twin! I've been wondering this too. I started at 132 and am now 113 (at 5'2.5"). My body fat has been my main concern. It's dropped from 32 to 23%, but to reach 20%, which is my goal, I'd have to weigh like 108. Which just seems way too small. No way has said I'm too skinny though, and I'm still in a size…

Not really. People carry their weight differently, and for even obese people with larger bottoms and smaller waists (relatively), their risks are lower than those with larger waists. Also, people that only carry 10 to 15 extra pounds could find themselves in the high risk category. It's also a good indicator of body fat.

^This! Thank you! I had just gotten to a B cup at my top weight (and 32% body fat btw) when I started this journey. Now I have a few 32A bras that are too small. So no, I'm not happy shopping in the little girls department.

As far I know, it's true in that according to studies, having a higher waist-hip ratio increases your chances of cardiovascular diseases (and others conditions?). If you are considered a pear (and you are), then your chances are lower because you carry your extra weight lower than your waist. It doesn't rule out a heart…

I eat unlimited raw veggies and two fruits every day. No juicing or blending here. :drinker: The rest of my diet is filler and protein.

This is good advice. If you're just starting out, get the basics aka regular exercise and tracking calories down first. When it becomes second nature, then you can worry about your macros. After that, start tracking micros, unless you have specific health problems (like tracking sodium to risk of heart disease, or…

I just recently watched both of these. Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead was more informative than inspiring for me. I suppose it would be an eye opener for those who don't like fresh produce or don't know how to eat healthy, but I have always loved and eaten my veggies. If it inspired me at all, it was to focus more on my micros…

5'3" on a good day 113 lbs Can finally squeeze into a 4, but not always. :grumble: I've only lost 2" on my hips, which is the biggest part of me.

One I hear at work all the time from my catty coworkers: "I don't mean to be mean, but..."

I've struggled with blemishes for over half my life now. The best thing I have ever done for my skin is eat clean and drink more water. My skin is glowing now, and save for the occasional pop-ups from my hormones, it looks better than it ever has. Even my scars seem to finally be healing.

I log according to my sleep cycles, though I am trying to curb the late night (actually early morning) eating. Sometimes, if I don't have the calories, I roll it over to the next day's log so I will eat less the next day. I care more about my weekly average overall.
-
Usually 10, though I try for 8. I'm usually just too tired though. At least I hardly ever sleep 12 anymore, which used to be my norm.
-
I've been maintaining at 1700. If I exercise, I eat more.

I could be way off here, and there is no replacement for true medical advice, but it sounds like a blood pressure issue. You mention that this happens when you stand up, which causes a shift in blood pressure. Have you tested your bp? There are plenty of places where you can test it for free and can hopefully rule it out…

@Krizzo- your eyes are a beautiful color, so yes!
