  • Thought I should at least provide the site for my walk motivation. http://www.walknowforautismspeaks.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=1052170
  • I am using both after reading a post on here last week about the endomondo app. I have only used it once ( it has been to cold outside for me to walk outdoors most days), but when I did use it on Saturday for a 1 mile walk around town it was within just a few calories of MFP. I was concerned about using too many apps and…

  • I just downloaded it and I hope it works as well as you said. Most of the time I walk indoors with a Leslie walk at home video from youtube because either I can't get out due to weather or the kids. We are just now hitting the 40's and soon 50's and I'll start to take the kids out on walks but I never know what pace to…
  • I didn't join a gym yet ( just don't have the funds), but I have been using youtube to find great at home videos. Was on a great track doing a 1 mile walk, working my way to the 2 mile walk, when I got a cold that kicked my tush and then a toothache that require rest and dental treatment. I'll be starting back up with my 1…
  • I just enjoyed a night out to dinner with family. We went to Olive Garden. Soup, entree, bread sticks and dessert. I have a total of 1350 calories a day. Did I go over my points? Yeah a little but we had a great night out and I won't be killing myself over it tomorrow.
  • Thank you, this is the best answer i have gotten and it makes sense.
  • I am also 5'8" and I love to wear heels. I feel empowered, love the way it lengthens my legs more and forces me to stand tall. I dont feel like godzilla at all, and I work with women who are shorter then me ( 5'2" to 5'5"). Embrace your height and stand out from the crowd!
  • I think that is great. Congrads
  • according to the TDEE calculator I found I burn about 2600 a day ( sitting almost all day long) and I should take in about 2200-2300 to loose weight. MFP has me at around 1300 a day. That is almost 1,000 calorie difference. ????
  • I love your story. First it is great to hear that it is possible to make it all happen second that there are sales clerks out there who care and have a sense of humor. congrads to you.
  • I agree. I am new to MFP and I kept reading "don't weigh in often", but I do weigh in about every other day or so. Last week I gained 4 lbs. I got upset because I have been trying so hard. I went to work and told one of the girls there that knows I am on this new path and she said it was most likely water weight from my…
  • maybe this site will have something closer. http://caloriecount.about.com/activities-music-playing-ac10
  • Gyms can get costly. I do all my own cardio at home. Here is one of the many youtube videos I use to get my cardio in at least 3 times a week. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=df2gn6-w0dE I started on MFP with a goal of about 90 lbs. After my first month I have lost 10. I am not changing my entire life, just adding the…
  • Thank you Brad. I read over the article and can say that a lot of what I thought I knew was listed in there. All of the nutritional eating habits makes me want to hire someone to say here eat this now and then eat this later. It all gets so very confusing.
  • I have 2-3 go to breakfast and lunches that I rotate through out the week. I have allowed myself a dip into the forbidden on Sundays so that I can still enjoy Sunday morning breakfast out with my husband and kids. Dinner time is where I really move things around since it is the one that is most likely to vary anyway. Also…
  • I'm not a single mom but I understand the stress of kids. I have 3 of them and each has some form of special needs at a variety of levels. My oldest daughter has ODD, my son has Autism and my youngest daughter has a bone growth disorder. I'm looking for friends on here and locally ( I live in the pocono mountain area of…
