  • Bump! Sounds yummy!
  • I asked my trainer about. I had the same question. In short, it really depends on how much you are burning. Since you are only getting 1200 per day to start with, I would suggest eating those burned calories back. Since I am taller and weight more, I have a larger calorie alotment;1440. If I ate all of my calories back, I…
  • Sorry, what's "wei"? Obviously, I'm clueless! lol:tongue:
  • Definitely free meals for me, not a day. I would never be able to come back over the edge from a day of over doing, even if it's just a litlle. I just know my pattern. That whole self-defeating thing. As for free meals... I really don't allow those either. Well, sort of. Those are just the days I couldn't control a…
  • Being a foodie makes dieting a little easier. I am also a self-proclaimed foodie. There's not too much I won't eat. In fact, I can't think of anything at the moment. lol But being a foddie, I can broaden my horizens. Expand my menu. I'm not stuck with poached chicken breast and steamed veggies all the time. I know how to…
  • Bump! Thanks! Now I have what I need for the commercial breaks. My trainer suggested while watching tv,sitting on an exercise ball instead of the couch to start with. So in a 30 min sit-com, I've gotten a full workout with both! lol Thanks
  • Wow!You look great! Thanks for the motivation! I really needed that his morning. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
  • Yay, yay, yay! I am so happy for you. I laugh to think about the people that have never been in that situation and don't understand where you're coming from. But I sure do! Congratulations! I can't wait until I'm there with you!
  • Thank you for posting! I really needed that. I have lost 15.8 lbs. as of this morning, and haven't really been able to tell too much in the mirror. My clothes are fitting differently, but I can't SEE it. Was starting to get a bit discouraged. You really helped bring it into perspective. Thanks!
  • You are FAR from alone. I've noticed several of the same type of post, which makes we wonder how many there are that don't post it? (Like me) I did the same thing at 15 lbs. Complete sabotage. Gained 4 lbs. Got my mindset straightened out, and thought I was back on track. Yesterday was a bad day emotionally, so what did I…
  • I prefer fresh spinach in place of iceberg lettuce... on hamburgers, in salads, on my favorite subs a Subway. I don't even bother with iceberg anymore. Love sauteed spinach, too. A little olive oil, garlic, sometimes I add ground cumin or curry powder. It just depends on how I feel that day. Sometimes in stir-fry. We eat a…
  • Definitely frustrating... I gained 4 lbs. this week. I seemed to do better the first 6 weeks when I wasn't exercising, only tracking calories. I started exercising regularly and vigorously 2 weeks ago. I know it's better to exercise as well as tracking caloric intake, and I know that it will work itself out, but I am also…
  • Yum! Thanks for sharing the recipe.
  • That's fantastic! So happy for you. Quick question? Did you keep up with your exercising while on vacation, too? Maybe that was the "deciding factor." Great job regardless. I'm really glad for you.
  • Yay! Just bask in it for a while. LOL Keep it up!
  • I think I'm going to start keeping track of it, too. I hadn't really noticed since I do most of my tracking on my phone app. I rarely visit my page online... I bet I start doing it more often now! lol Thanks for sharing!
  • ALL THE TIME! Food is a form of addiction for me. It's not neccessarily about boredom, hunger, habit. It's just there. All of that other stuff are contributing factors, but it's an entire experience for me... Just like hard drug addicts like/need the way a drug feels. Not just the high, but the experience. The taste of the…
  • Ok, the whole pot of chili has 2,443 cals, 291 g carbs, 28g fat, and 289 g protein. Divide all of that by 8 (about 2 cup) servings = 305 cals, 36 g carbs, 4 g fat, and 36 g protein Did I mention 1000 g of yummy?
  • Really simple... I am notorious for throwing things together. I just took some things I had and tossed them in together. So, this is what I used last night, but if I had more garlic, I probably would have used it. I love it! This made enough for 8 people. I divided the leftovers into individual servings and froze them for…
  • I think I'm headed for IHOP today. They have the Simple and Fit menu items. Looking at the nutrition info... no wonder I'm so fat! I love pancakes, country steak and gravy, biscuits and gravy, fried ham. (yes, I'm obviously from the south. lol) I would have normally gotten the combo plates with a little of everything. Not…
  • Generally speaking, I would say yes. But the majority of the menu is "off limits" for me right now. And nearly everything is loaded with sodium, which of course = water weight. So be sure to drink a lot of water before, during and after. Flush out all of that extra sodium. Hope that helps! :-)…
  • They have a Skinnybee Margarita, Mojito, and Long Island Iced Tea, each 100-110 cals. When it comes to "regular" drinks, the mojitos are my fav, but these Skinnybee Margaritas are fantastic! Hope this helps, too... http://www.applebees.com/downloads/Applebees_Nutritional_Info.pdf
  • I am not a doctor, guru, or any sort of expert, and it still sounds very unhealthy to me. I read somewhere recently your body has to have about 1400 cals a day just to function correctly. That's if you stayed in bed all day. If you plan on having any movement at all, you would need more. Granted, what I read could be…
  • Yeah the sodium was rediculous... I forget the exact amount, but over 1000 mg. I didn't think to mention the two glasses of water I drank while there, and the two within about 30 minutes of leaving there. lol But I made homemade chili last night (no added salt at all) in order to "balance it out." Rather than salt, I use a…
