Hello! Welcome to MFP! Feel free to add me

It is definitely difficult when they won't listen to us HA HA! I know mine doesn't like to listen when it comes to healthy eating/exercising; that is until he saw a trainer recently... now he tells me all these "new" things he's learned! What about setting up a session with a trainer at the gym? Maybe as a "gift" to him or…

You mean I could have been using magic all this time? Hmph why didn't anyone tell me that!! In all seriousness though, I do have a protein shake each morning for breakfast and while it's not magic, it gets me cals and nutrients during a time that I would normally not have time to eat (lateness is my middle name). It's…

No way! Do NOT listen to your "lame" friend... if walking a 5K is what you want to do then by all means go for it. I personally walk and jog at the running events I do each year. I think the B2B sounds like a really fun time with your other friends too. Just remember, you are lapping everybody on the couch!

Head to your local running store and ask to be fitted. They will watch you "run" and discuss your running with you then have you try several shoes. Each time you will "run" in order to see if they fit well and feel comfortable. Don't be afraid to ask a million questions! I am only saying that because the first store I went…

Hi all! I'm 5'7" and am looking to lose about 50-60 lbs. I joined MFP several months ago but only got serious about it in the past two weeks. I'm finally learning that tracking is SO important! It makes me stop and think before I eat something that isn't a good choice. Now that doesn't mean I don't slip up every now and…

We are similar in so many ways! Feel free to add me! We can all use support and motivation.

I have been using the Fitbit Flex for about 2 weeks now. So far I like it! I have it synced with MFP, which is great, however I did turn off the negative adjustment feature. That seemed to be a bit too confusing for me! I may try it again as I become more familiar with the Fitbit. The Flex tracks steps/miles, calories…

Are you under the recommended daily calories prior to the exercise calories? If so, then I suggest eating at least the minimum calories that MFP is suggesting based on the information you gave it. Undereating can actually hinder your progress instead of move it forward. As far as eating back exercise calories, there are…

Check out Bondi Bands... a cute and stylish way to hold that sweat back!

Lately I've been using steak seasoning on chicken prior to grilling it; McCormick makes a really good one. I also like to marinade in olive oil, pepper, garlic, and steak seasoning; combine all in ziploc bag and seal then "move" it all around to coat the chicken (leave in bag for at least 30 min prior to grilling)... so…

I found out yesterday when shopping for my son that Nike.com has a plus size line... not a large amount of items but they do have racerback tanks, shorts, capris and pants. They call it "extended size" and it runs 1X to 3X. They also carry some items up to XXL. I have purchased several sports bras from LB (Cacique line)…

Hi everyone! My diary is open to friends... I think! It's full of ups and downs but I'm still in the "learning" process! Feel free to add me.

Many years ago I took phentermine and while it had a weight loss effect, it didn't last. Most drs only allow you to take it for 3 months at a time and require monthly visits for blood pressure monitoring as it can cause heart issues. I can honestly say that while it was nice to have the appetite suppressant, it doesn't…
