Things that will help: Good, well-fitted shoes and socks, tape on the parts of your feet that tend to get blisters (before you get them), blister gel pads on the blisters as soon as they start to form, and building up your walking/running time gradually so you get callouses on the parts that do rub. Also keep your feet…

Your diet is what you eat. If you eat sensibly for life, then you are on a sensible diet. A way of eating that is not sensible and has short term goals is a fad diet (or simply an unhealthy one).
-
There's no scientific logic or evidence behind blood type diets. They may work for some people because, like any fad diet, they make you pay attention to what you eat and because they place some restrictions on what you eat (which could, by chance, happen to be things you eat too much of).

How about eating 2 weet bix with milk instead? If you really prefer to drink it, but them in a blender together for a few seconds.

I really struggle to get enough calcium too. I've started building 3 glasses of skim milk a day into my diet, thinking of it as medicine rather than food. I used to really resent those calories from a food I don't even like, but plain skim milk is the "cheapest" (in calorie terms) way to get that calcium, and we've got to…

A professional photo shoot session (major goal). A kitten or puppy (major goal). A really good coffee from a fancy cafe (minor progress). A sum of money that you get to give to your choice of charity instead of spending on bills and ordinary things (e.g. "if I don't stick to my diet this week, I'm depriving the local pet…

For us, signing on to a 30-year mortgage together was the real proof of long-term commitment. The marriage came a few years afterwards!

My partner and I got married just after our tenth anniversary of living together. It was the only way to celebrate our relationship and ongoing commitment to each other with all our friends and family at once. Friends and family flew in from across the continent and from overseas, we had a fantastic party, and had the…

A Cinnabon. Easy to resist, though, since we don't have them in this country (or this hemisphere, to the best of my knowledge!)

You'd be surprised how much regular tourist walking adds up in comparison with sitting in an office all day.

Riding a bike is my favourite form of exercise. I ride 24km (15 miles) a day, 6 days a week just commuting, and I like to take longer rides on weekends (my longest day ride was 183km / 114 miles, but 50km / 31 mi is more typical). I'm not what you'd call a serious cyclist, though - I'm happy with my cheap, steel-framed…

I eat dinner any time between 7 and 9, usually. I typically leave work at 5:30 to 6pm, stop at the shops on the way home for groceries, shower when I get home (I cycle commute) and then cook (or else my husband does the same), so dinner is ready when all that is done. If we have left-overs and don't need to shop and cook,…

Try some core body strength exercises, to strengthen your back. Squats, crunches and that sort of thing.

Calorie needs vary depending on your size and base activity level. MFP recommends about 1500 calories for me, for maintenance (I'm short and sedentary most of the day). Yes, if you don't want to keep losing weight, you still need to eat back your exercise calories. (If you find that you start to gain weight when you do…

As a rule of thumb, cardiovascular exercise is considered "light" if you'd be able to sing while doing it, "moderate" if you have enough breath to talk but not sing, and "vigorous" if you couldn't hold a conversation. In the context of crunches, I'd take the average over the whole 3 minutes rather than worrying about…

I measure everything and count almost everything, even when I'm making the recipe up as I go along. 2 tbs butter often makes a huge difference to the calorie content per serve, so I pay particular attention to fats and oils. I don't bother listing things like soy sauce, herbs and spices, celery or a small handful of…

Of course you'll lose weight if you skip dinner, which is probably the major meal for most of us. I don't think it's a good idea, though. I suppose some might call a meal before 6pm dinner, but it seems more within the "afternoon snack" zone, and I suspect most working people would find it difficult to prepare and eat…

If your user pic is you, the BMI won't apply to you. It works for most people, but not body-builders or athletes. BAI (http://www.intmath.com/functions-and-graphs/bmi-bai-comparison.php) may be more accurate, short of a precise fat measurement with calipers or water displacement.

I suspect it's just that if you're drinking diet soda, it's probably a regular part of your diet rather than an occasional treat (as regular soda might be for many), in which case you probably also have other non-nutritious and sweet (hence calorie-laden) foods as a regular part of your diet.

It's always more difficult with bought meals. If the lunches are healthy but the dinners vary, do you have the option of a bigger lunch and eating less at dinner?

They sound great and I am going to try something like the carrot cake one tomorrow! What is pumpkin butter?

Do you cook at home? I bet if you offered to do the cooking, your parents would be happy to buy the ingredients for a healthy meal. (My family started a cooking roster when I was about 14: my sisters and I each cooked one night a week after school, my parents each cooked one night a week after work, we had "Thursday night…

I dislike most salad dressing, though I love salad, so I don't dress my salads at home and I usually ask for salad to be served with no dressing when I eat out. I also dislike mustard and mayo, pesto on sandwiches (though I love it on pasta), and most other liquid condiments. Tomato sauce on pies and chips and chilli sauce…

Lower left is where you'll find the last bit of your colon. If you were constipated, it could hurt there when you're active. But I guess you'd know about that already.

If you aren't hungry, go to bed and make up the shortfall in the morning.

If it's a stritch, I find that it helps to concentrate more on breathing out deeply with each breath.

I find bread works fine if you take a standard recipe and leave the salt out. You can leave the sugar and fat out too, and it still works! If you do cut out the salt, it tastes better if you also cut (or at least reduce) the sugar.

I've noticed my skin is better when I'm sweating some of the time, whether because of exercise or warmer weather.
