Week 8 day 2 done. 30 mins running. Plus an extra 1.5mind cause I didn't hear my app telling me it was time to stop lol Next run is final one and is 35 mins. I'm slow though so don't think I'll make 5k. Tempted to just keep going and see how long it takes.

Looked at your picture and said "holy s**t" You look AMAZING. Congratulations

I'm using 5k runner so it's an 8 week plan. Tomorrow is 30 mins then last day 35 mins / 5 k. I haven't measured my distances the last few times as I found I was getting overly concerned about it but I don't think 35 mins will be 5k for me.

Brilliant! I've started running but haven't made it to 5k yet. Bet you feel amazing!

This. Or when I completely zone out and eat it in zombie mode.

Fair play to those who run with a buggy. No way could I manage that! Did week 8, day 1 today. 28 mins of running :d

Although its under foods its a negative calorie figure for breastfeeding so it will reduce your net calories the same way exercise does. You need to eat these back in addition to eating back your exercise calories.

I'm 5'6" and large framed. Starting weight 222.5 Current weight 187.5 Goal weight 154 My goal weight is 1lb below the maximum weight for a healthy BMI for my height. I might re-assess this in the future but I'm happy with this for the timebeing.

I had the depo in January this year. I've lost 35 lbs since then so it certainly didn't effect me that way. Everyone is different and their body will react a different way. Plus its human nature to talk about (or post on the internet about) bad experiences rather than good so you are likely to hear the bad / extreme rather…

Hi all new to the group today. I've finished week 7 of 5k runner and ran my first 3k race on Sunday there. It was just a wee family day / charity run but gave me good experience and while I can't say I enjoyed it at the time, I'm already looking forward to my first proper 5k.

Something which I heard a few years ago at a WW class was to up your calories(well points as it was WW) to maintenance level for a special occassion. Gives you extra room for enjoying yourself and if its only 2 or 3 days and you are within your normal / reduced calorie goal for the rest of the week you should still lose.

I just finished week 3 of 5k runner last night, not sure if that makes me a runner, a non runner or someone in the middle - a bit of a shuffler maybe. But I love it. The husband has been running since last year, did his first half marathon recently and is doing a marathon in September. He's inspired me to get out there and…

Oh and Chinese. I would of got a normal meal with fried rice then a portion of chips too and sometimes onion rings. Full fat coke.

Yep Pringles here too. Sometimes with dip, sometimes on their own but always Pringles

First off, I am very sorry for your loss. You don't say how recently your miscarriage was but please give yourself time to recover physically and emotionally. 1650 sounds good. I would go with that for a while and see how you go. You can always adjust it if needs be. Also as others have said make sure you log accurately.…

I don't do cheat days. Cheat day = binge. Also implies that I am on a diet which I can cheat on when I am trying to look at this as a long term change of eating habits.

Northern Ireland here. I've added you all!

Eat less, move more

Declined the traditional "payday pizza" in work after looking up the calories in a small Dominos on MFP. Had a toasted pitta with cottage cheese and ham instead. It didn't feel like a NSV at the time but it does now :d

Hi I am from the UK too and have added you as a friend :) I've been doing this from begining of Jan and the only exercise I have been doing is walking and has lost 2 stone so far. In the last 2 weeks I've started the 5k runner programme (similar to C25K) after buying an extremely supportive sports bra! Good luck on your…

I agree. Treat day (for me anyway) is another term for binge. I try to build my treats into my day to day calories and I find I eat less of them this way.

Calorie counting and portion control. Portion control was and still is my biggest issue. But weighing all my food and seeing what is a correct portion size helps with that. Ive not cut anything out completely and I still have a wee bit of junk when I feel like it. I always been a walker but set myself a daily distance…

You are supposed to eat your exercise calories. If you only on 1200 a day and exercise gives you say 400 and you don't eat them then you are only eating 800 a day. Far too low. However MFP over-estimates the calories burned during exercise so the general consensus is to eat 50% of your exercise calories. This is what I do…
