  • I operate quite simply -- if I'm hungry, I'll eat something. I try and make sure that my net calories sit at around 1200 but if I end up with a few 1400 days then that's fine. I'm still losing and well on my way to the body I've always wanted. So long as you're consistently losing weight and not going to bed with a…
  • I'd do pilates and lots of stretches to strengthen muscles. Then I'd consider walking or running if you don't have access to the gym. You could always do this before or after school. Maybe ride a bike?
  • I always make sure my net calories are 1200 especially if I've been exercising. Ultimately, if you're hungry then eat something small like a piece of fruit and drink water. Consider trialling a week or two where you eat 1250 - 1300 calories NET each day. You might find your body is lacking a little in fuel.
  • As much as it is a throwaway comment, you still need to ask yourself if he's worth having around. Sometimes my boyfriend and I will joke about my tubby thighs or tummy but for the most part he's very vocal about his support and what he likes. Sure he'll comment about how "hot" some skinny girl is and mention that he'd love…
  • Completely forgot about this challenge until now! Oops! I didn't go to the gym this morning but I did work all night so perhaps I burned a little from that. I'll be working all day tomorrow (might get some stock lifting in) and Sunday might involve some light walking. Darn! I'm content with being half-way though.
  • Currently, I'm weighing myself once a week after one of my gym sessions. I don't have a scale at home and right now I can't afford one. I'm perfectly happy using the gym's scale. Here's hoping I'll be able to weigh in next week at around the same day and time. If not, I'm not too bothered with it as I'm down to my last…
  • My boyfriend has a similar problem, although he is only damp. He overheats and freezes very easily, so once the room is at a perfect temperature, he'll sleep soundly. It doesn't bother me as I like the room at the same temperature :) Haha! I'd have another chat to your doctor. Perhaps you could try wearing a larger size…
  • The dress code at my gym is really just common sense : closed in shoes, a shirt and everyone must have a towel. I wear shorts or leggings, depending on my mood, and with a t-shirt or tank up top. Always a sports bra (I like to find ones that make me feel good), socks and shoes. I don't wear sneakers but I have these ones…
  • Try a breakfast cereal that's high in fibre and drinking more water :)
  • I think you should follow the WW program and just use MFP to log your food and exercise, and for motivation. Whatever works for you :)
  • Thanks!
  • Thanks for the kind words :) I'm looking forward to reaching the 2,000 by Sunday. I burned 353 at the gym this morning which brings my current total up to 1234! Only 766 to go and three days! Eeek!
  • My thighs are looking a little slimmer. All this gym work is finally paying off. I'm hoping to lose a little around the middle to look even better in these two dresses of mine.
  • Unless you need something particular, I'd try and find a store in your area.
  • I find as long as your net calories is at least 1200, you'll be fine. If you're hungry, make sure you eat something but don't go overboard. Sleeping with a grumbly tummy isn't fun.
  • Hi and welcome! You'll find all the support you need here :) There's also a separate forum on the message board called "Recipes" which will answer your questions.
  • Hire the book out of the library or buy a used copy on Amazon and if you don't like it, sell it back.
  • Mine's the same. He's muscly and little :) I'm the tall one. I like being able to cuddle him like a teddybear. He likes how soft and squishy I am so he's happy being cuddled up against that.
  • I actually like to the rock the headband at the gym
  • Thanks for sharing!
  • Try adding a little lemon juice. It makes water taste a little less like water. I like to fill up a large water bottle and carry it around with me. I'll be checking my Google Reader and sipping away and before I know it, it's time to fill up and go to the bathroom.
  • Thank you for sharing your story. This needs to be read by every new MFP member when they join. Best wishes for your recovery. :flowerforyou:
  • I just wanted to say that perhaps using MPF will actually help you to achieve this even more so because you could create a category in your diary for alcohol. If using a food diary helps you stay accountable for what you eat, perhaps it will help with what you drink? I'd just like to extend a great big Internet hug to…
  • There's a studio in my city but there's a really expensive safety course you have to do first. :frown: Otherwise I'd look into it.
  • Have a google for converters. www.download.com might have one. There's usually a converter for everything :)
  • Right now I'm sitting on 881 or nearly halfway to my goal of 2,000. I'm jealous of everyone's calorie burns! I just can't burn that much but my burn is better than none at all. Keep up the great work everyone!
  • My boyfriend who I affectionately describe as pocket-sized can wrap his arms all the way around my middle very, very comfortably. Improved cuddles are a definite plus :)
  • MPF is motivation enough. Seeing all those fantastic calorie burns my friends are getting at the gym makes me want to go. I feel bad when I don't log any exercise. As for those cookies, before you devour them do a search in the food database and then cringe at how many calories they are. 9 times out of 10, that stops me…
  • Here, here! One should never ask if a woman is pregnant -- ever. A girl at work was (she had her little boy yesterday) and for a month everyone was debating asking her and nobody wanted to. In the end she told people and we all breathed a sigh of relief. I'm sorry your dinner and dessert was ruined :( You should write a…
  • Talk to the people at the Y about getting a program drawn up for you. Make sure they know your goals :) They, like us, are here to help and I hope you post photos of you at your Junior Prom.
