I just saw this on another thread: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/926789-protein-sources

Yes; I have it, and I ended up being diagnosed with Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome on top of it. Not fun. Orthotics did not help. The only thing that helped me was acupuncture. If I have a flare, I always get a treatment, and it has helped every time. It isn't covered by insurance, but for me, the cost is worth it for the pain…

Being an RN makes me question whether you have any cardiac problems/history? Any shortness of breath on exertion? Just a few things to check into, since the edema seems to be pretty significant. (Not trying to scare you, but just concerned, and didn't want to just disregard the possibility.)

Keep at it! I absolutely love Insanity. It is by far the best workout I've ever done, and because of that, I still keep at least parts of it in my varied exercise routine! It's increased my endurance and cardiovascular fitness & energy level tremendously. It improved my running. I'm 56 yrs old, and can keep up with my 27…

You look amazing. Keep up the great work!

Maybe continue on for a while longer, since you don't have much to lose anyway on this bulk so far? At what rate did you put weight on? I'm trying to time my first bulk soon, so I can cut in plenty of time, to be in good shape by summer. I still want to cut a bit more before I start bulking, though, so timing is important.…

I did NOT feel well last night, after eating all of the rich, carbohydrate-loaded-to-the-max food. I got bloated, and very uncomfortable...to the point that I was having difficulty walking around, because of all of the gas in my abdomen. (TMI? Sorry...that's the way it was.) Although I'll be eating left-overs during the…

I have very small hands, too. I usually use Harbinger gloves; they tend to run smaller/narrower than other brands I've tried. I buy mine on Amazon.

Amazing transformation! You have worked very hard, and it shows! You have a beautiful family, too!

A quick glance at your diary tells me you haven't been logging, so how do you know how many calories you are actually consuming? That is most likely your problem. It is so easy to consume more calories than what we think we're consuming. Try logging everything you eat, along with your exercise. Preferably, weigh everything…

I've ran a half marathon on my treadmill, and was training for another marathon on it, when I changed my workout goals. I do it because I am visually impaired (legally blind) and unable to run outside. So, I just crank up my tunes on my ipod and go. Since I'm unable to run any other way now, I've grown to enjoy my…

I love hot sauce...just here to listen to other people's favorites. I've already ordered the 2 I hadn't heard of, to try. I put hot sauce on everything!

Here to listen in.

I'm on here daily, have an open diary, and am a vegetarian. Feel free to add me. :flowerforyou:

I was hesitant to go on maintenance, but I continued to lose on maintenance, and had to increase my calories, so I wouldn't lose too much. Logging accurately & honestly is most important. That, and maintaining a consistent workout schedule. I've had no problems whatsoever maintaining, and I even take a break with logging…

Another vote for Wright double layer socks...I used to get horrible blisters under a bunion I have, but since wearing those socks, I have had no problems with blistering. For calf compression (and overall compression), I love CW-X conditioning wear/compression tights--I won't run in anything else now. They helped my ITB…

I put Nutritional Yeast in it, then mix with either hot sauce or salsa, and add a lot of pepper. It's great alone, or on a bagel or toast, or used as a dip with crackers or veggies.

I like to bake marinated tofu with Tamari sauce, herbs (poultry seasoning, sage, & thyme, usually) and Nutritional Yeast instead. Even our meat-eating friends and relatives enjoy it. :) It's much less costly, and tastes better, IMHO.

I love mixing vanilla Greek yogurt with either Chocolate Mint, Vanilla, or Vanilla Caramel (all made by MGN) protein powder, and adding either fresh or frozen fruit to it. (I love Trader Joe's Very Cherry Berry Blend, or Blueberries, Raspberries, Strawberries, or Mangos and Pineapples, etc. etc.!) If you use the frozen…

I've been MIA for a few days, but I'm still plugging along with various Insanity workouts and loving it. Still not able to get back into my P90X-Insanity hybrid, due to some inflammation issues, but I'm striving to get there. Congrats on maintaining your goal weight, Ryan!

Opening your diary would help. However, if you are truly eating "around" 1200 calories and burning 700-800 a day, you will lose a MASSIVE amount of weight doing Insanity & running. There is no way you wouldn't. Netting only 400-500 calories a day is going to lead you down a very undesirable path. You will burn out and lose…

Another vote for the Garmin FR60. It's an older model, but does everything I need, and it's very simple.

I finished a round of Insanity a while back, and fell in love with the program. It's an amazing workout, and I can't get enough of it. I do an Insanity workout every day right now, though I'm not following the program this time. I was doing a P90X - Insanity Hybrid program, but had to stop due to some tendon and bursa…

Yes. Too many to list here, actually. I've got Mixed Connective Tissue Disease and FM, both autoimmune diseases, among other things. I've been dealing with it since 1992. Anyone with health issues who are struggling can add me as a friend. I struggle daily with pain & inflammation, but I push myself to exercise, because…

I've been doing a mix-up of Insanity workouts lately, since my inflammation is too severe to do P90X right now. (The weights really aggravate the tendinosis & bursitis, which I have in every joint area of my body). This was a great disappointment to me, since I've been wanting to build muscle, but, you've got to do what…

Excellent article! Thanks for sharing!

I'm lactose intolerant, and have IBS. I use 100% Whey Protein & Casein periodically; when I do, I get bloated & gassy, although in the first few months, they didn't bother me at all. Now, if I take some lactase along with either one of them, I'm just fine. I try to use a variety of protein powders (vegan, soy, whey, pea,…

I LOVE CW-X tights. I began ordering them when I had ITB, knee, and hip issues. I can definitely tell the difference in all 3 areas when I wear them, versus wearing regular shorts/tights. Besides helping with the pain, I find them extremely comfortable/comforting when I have them on. Since I've gotten them, I really don't…
