ON's Whey Protein and ON Casein powders are good. Whey will digest quickly; casein takes a lot longer to breakdown in your system, so it's good to take before bed. My favorite protein powder, though is Muscle Gauge Nutrition's (MGN) Whey protein. They have a bunch of good flavors, and they mix very easily. I buy all of my…

I'm definitely a stress eater; what has helped me enormously is my stationary bike! At night, when my usual urge to binge occurs, I put the bike in front of my computer (I don't have a TV), and watch concerts, because the music gets me going, and I can do 25 miles before I even realize it's happened. I didn't even think…

I LOVE Body Beast! I've only been doing it since just after Christmas 2013, and it is definitely causing changes in my body already! I will also be doing another round, and will probably continue doing rounds, because so far, I've not found a program that has gotten better results. I haven't used any of the Beachbody…

OH--and I add the greens to whatever flavor protein shake I'm using, whether it be chocolate, cinnamon bun, vanilla, caramel, etc. etc....:drinker:

It's not only tasty, but it makes you feel great after you drink it! I always put some kind of greens in my protein shake in the morning, and use either fresh or frozen fruit ( for example: strawberries, raspberries, mixed berries, mangos, pineapple, blueberries) and sometimes I'll add sweet potato or squash to the mix,…

I'm 56 and have better definition than I've ever had, since I started lifting in Dec. 2013...it's been less than 3 months, and already I'm seeing great changes in my musculature. I just had to check how long I've been lifting--I thought it was longer--so I'm even more pleased with the progress I've been seeing. Though I…

I also use C4 Extreme. I prefer the Strawberry Margarita or Fruit Punch flavors so far. I can definitely notice a difference in my lifting when I take it, vs. when I don't. (I can lift heavier, and my endurance is much better)

I'm an Insanity grad; I loved the program, and every once in a while I have to do a workout from it because I miss it! Congrats for getting to the second month! I remember feeling like, "I've got this!" And then the second month arrived. Total shock, once again....Shaun T. is a great motivator and can really push you to…

Lifting ROCKS! Great work!

I'm in week 1 of block 3, Beast. I LOVE this program!!! Feel free to add me.

You look so much healthier! Fantastic transformation. Great work!

I feel like a salesperson for Champion compression bras; I'm always recommending them. They are tricky to get on & off, until you get used to them, but they are fantastic. No bouncing, no movement of the bra whatsoever. It's definitely a compression bra, so it is tight, but extremely comfortable. I won't wear anything…

I love your record keeping! I'd love to get more meticulous with mine, so I can compare my progress with dietary/macro changes as I go along. You've gotten excellent results with this bulk!

I have to wear gloves. I have an autoimmune disease that causes a lot of pain throughout my body. If I didn't wear gloves, I couldn't lift. So to the people who are making fun of your question: please try not to judge those who choose to wear gloves. You may not know their whole story. I think it's a personal choice, and…

I loved Insanity. T25 is a great workout, but I thought Insanity was more "fun", so I am partial to it. Both are challenging programs. Insanity's workouts are much longer, so if you're tight on time, T25 accomplishes a great cardio workout, if that's what you're after. One thing I noticed with T25, Shaun T. doesn't cue as…

Since I've started wearing compression bras, I won't wear anything else anymore. I'm a D cup; no bounce whatsoever; very comfortable. It takes a bit of getting used to, if you've not worn compression bras before (difficult to put on & take off at first). I love Champions.…

There are no words....just an empathetic feeling of "triumph"! Such an inspiration. Talk about climbing up out of the depths of despair to a new life...... Congratulations!

Your transformation is truly amazing!! I remember some of the older photos you posted, as you were progressing, and NOW--WOW! Congratulations on being so committed to your goals. What an inspiration!

I'm in, and looking forward to this. Anyone else who wants to friend me to help keep each other accountable would be welcome! Just put something about the push up challenge in the subject....

I am an RN, and have years of experience with psych patients, as well as having a grand daughter who has a diagnosis of OCD. I would suggest finding a new doctor. She, unfortunately, has the wrong impression, like the general population, that OCD is a condition which causes someone to be extremely organized, like a "neat…

Congratulations on taking the first step into a totally new and healthy lifestyle!! Since you don't have friends who can support you in healthy ways, lean heavily on the community here!! You will find fantastic support & motivation to keep going. You're doing Insanity & P90X at the same time?! I've done both, but not at…

In the beginning, I swore I never would be "one of those" who weighed their food. Then, I made a purchase of a new digital scale, and with it came a free food scale. I decided to give it a try, and compare what I had been eating, for example, in a 1/4 cup of nuts to the actual weight. I was shocked to see that I could have…

Not anything to be embarrassed about. I'm an RN. Please see a Dr. as soon as possible, preferably a GI specialist. In the meantime, get some probiotic supplements, and start those; they won't hurt, and they may help somewhat. You need to get an accurate diagnosis; please don't wait.

I'm also trying to gain muscle right now; just in for the thread.

Superb racing strategy, and great pace. So happy you did so well! Now, rest that awesome bod, and prepare for your next race! :)

Muscle Gauge Nutrition (MGN) Whey Isolate. I can't stand to drink anything other than that now, ever since I started drinking it. They have a lot of different flavors (Cinnamon Bun, Ice Cream Sandwich, Vanilla Caramel, Chocolate, etc., etc., etc.) and you can even get an Unflavored. I get it from Bodybuilding.com. The only…

Thank you for all of your suggestions! BrianSharpe, thanks so much for the links. I will definitely check them out. I'm new to biking in general, so I'm just in the learning stages. I followed the suggestions of making sure my bike was adjusted correctly for my height & stride, for example, but there's a lot more I need to…

Thanks. I'm waiting for my bike shorts to arrive. Did you find a particular brand of gel seat to be helpful?

I wanted to post a new topic, but I couldn't find the "New Topic" button....so hopefully, someone will reply to my post! I've been riding my stationary bike for about 2 weeks now. When I first began, I rode 10 miles a day, and it felt great, so I increased to 20 miles. Besides getting the usual sore ischial tuberosities…
