Lol. You're supposed to record how much potatoes, skim milk, and butter you use. That means weigh them yourself and then log however much you use/eat into MFP.

Just gradually cut it down. I used to drink over half a 2 liter of coke a day. That's one of the big reasons I got so fat. I just started drinking less and less very gradually. Eventually I got my bad habit under control. Now I only have it once a week, and only 16oz at most.

First and foremost - skip the machines for compound lifts. Machines have unnatural movement pattern so you're just not going to learn proper free-weight form by benching and squatting on a smith machine. In fact, you'll probably encourage improper form from the very beginning AND set yourself back even further when you…

Intermittent fasting is when you fast for most of the day, then eat within a certain time period. The usual is 16/8, which means fasting 16 hours, then eat all your food within 8 hours. If you're struggling with your diet it's most likely due to self control issues, or a bad/overly restrictive diet to begin with.…

That smoothie sounds damn good. I'm definitely going to try it. How much milk do you use exactly?

My family is full of fat-*kitten*. They can't just eat until they're full - they feel the need to binge. Every time. Of course growing up with them I followed their same habits. That's why I got so damn fat.

Sometimes I'll throw a few egg whites in there if I need to get some more protein in for the day. Or if the shake is a little bit too thick, an egg white or two will usually get the consistency how I want it. But I still prefer to use milk, specifically almond milk because it's low calorie. I take the calories I save from…

This is easy. Make a shake. 1 cup oats (blend these first - into a powder) 2 cups whole milk 2 scoops of protein powder 1 frozen banana There you go. 1000+ calories in one single shake. Drink it all before you start to feel full.

I didn't cut it out, but I stopped drinking a lot less - Coke. I used to drink over half a 2liter a day. Almost daily. Sad times. Now I only have it once a week - 16 oz at most.

Yea it's just the spanish stores here aren't just Mexican. They are a mix of everything so it gets confusing. Asking the spanish name of meat might get you a different answer depending on who you ask. Ask a Mexican, Dominican, and a Chapin something and you'll probably get a different name. Hell I've had that problem with…

I am too. But they don't know what it's called in English, which is the problem lol. Every time I'd ask como se llama este corte de carne en ingles, I'd get a no se. But hey you might have better luck.
-
I've always had this problem with spanish grocery stores. I'd like to buy their meat because it's cheaper, but I have no idea what type of meat it is. They use pretty general terms to describe the steak so you never know exactly what cut it is. And they don't know English so you can't ask them to tell you what it's called…

Stop using measuring cups/spoons. Use a food scale instead.

Eat more

Extremely important. Using measuring cups/spoons for anything but liquids is way too inaccurate. Scales are so cheap that there's no reason why you shouldn't buy one. I picked one up for $6 over a year ago. Works great. This is the one I bought:…

If you're losing weight then it's not getting bigger. You're probably just looking at it when you're bloated. Keep losing weight and it'll get smaller eventually.
-
Listen to your body. If it's telling you to rest then rest. I've seen way too many beginners get burned out either physically or mentally (or both) because they feel the need to exercise all the time, then they fall off the bandwagon. Don't let that be you.

Losing almost 100lbs from now to New Years is unrealistic. A more realistic goal is about half that. In the first month or so, the first 20lbs will fly off. Then you've got 3 months left, in which you should be able to lose 30-40lbs. But keep in mind that the holiday season is coming up so dieting becomes harder when…

You'll lose weight but you're going to feel like ****. Hungry, out of energy, fatigued, etc. Try it for yourself and see. Eventually you'll go back to eating more wholesome and satiating foods.

You should set your macros based on your fitness goals, not on random cookie-cutter percentages like most people do. For example: a bodybuilder vs runner. Their goals are completely different so their percentages obviously will be as well. BBer will need more protein than the runner, the runner probably needs more carbs,…

I don't count calories on a cheat day. The point of cheating is eating whatever and however much I want. I prefer to do structured refeed days if I'm going to be counting things.

You just have to keep getting leaner that's all. You're almost there so just keep going.

Yea it does. For sure. You're looking damn good. Keep it up.

Looks quite ineffective due to the lack of frequency. You are dedicating one single day to doing just one or two exercises. All the exercises that you've listed for an entire week could literally be done in a single workout session in one day. You should also stick to free weight exercises as much as possible for your…

People love to complicate things. If you have a regular workout schedule then there's really no need to worry about eating back or logging exercise calories. Just eat the same amount of calories every day and stick to your workout schedule. Take me for example. I work out 3x a week every week, have been for the past 10…

Great post. This is very solid advice and it's how you should be benching if you want to save your shoulders. I used to bench like a retard, like most people do, and would have constant shoulder problems. Then I learned to bench like the guy above said and it made all the difference in the world. These days, if I want to I…

Sounds to me like you've got the right mindset this time. Good luck.
