From my experience most people at the gym are so consumed with who may or may not be looking at them that they don't have much time to be looking at others.

I am somewhere between 25-30 lbs total loss so far. I think at about the 20 lb mark I noticed my bras were getting big on me...sadly nothing else really is...although when I see myself in shorts I swear I have less knee-cleavage than I used to so I've got that going for me....which is nice.

I'm extremely flexible, also I can mimic foreign accents pretty well.

Give your body a chance to rest at least for the first 24-48 hrs. Not fun but worth it I'd think.

I lasted three days and I am usually pretty comfortable with low-carb diets. I was getting migraines so bad I couldn't even see. I also only lost 1 1/2 pounds in those 3 days which wasn't enough for me to be that miserable. Hopefully it works better for you.

I couldnt figure it out, quit after 2 days and came here.

I think it depends on if the person is really asking for advice or if they just need someone to listen. If they ask for it- they've got nothing to b*tch about.

I've been told that if you need to add a little more excerise you should always park as far away from the door as you can anytime you are in a parking lot. It adds up.

I've been stuck since early May but I think this will be my week to break through! Good luck to you!

What kind of baby stuff? I'm very interested.

Hello from Austin

Hi from Austin!

Caught my eye...you have experience with this? I'm interested.

You are young enough I believe your skin will eventually "bounce back" but this is no guarntee as everybody's body is differnt and there is no real way to know for sure.
-
This is exactly why the BMI scale is so flawed. It sucks that you get labeled as "obese" when you could just be really muscular.
-
This used to happen to me when I was doing a super low carb diet or it was freezing outside and I would try to rush it. If you switched brands lately or have been trying to wean yourself off it could just be that you are taking in too much at once.

Can't say that I 100% agree with FAS being only for severe alcholics but I do know several women who were worried about finding out they pregnant after having a few drink-filled nights and they're doctors all gave them pretty much the same speech: the stress placed on your body by worrying about it is worse than the act it…

My dream weight is 150 pounds but I'd be happy with 170...who am I kidding I'd be happy with 190 right about now.

I think that's a bit harsh. Marriage isn't for everyone. I'm a firm believer that you can be a loving and commited life-partner WITHOUT be married as long as both individuals are happy with it. The problem here is that one person understandably wants to get married and the other is on the fence.
-
Totally agree.

I'm sorry to sound matriarchal but spending a lot of time at each-other's place isn't the same as living together...especially when there are no parents around to pick up after him or remind him to do this or that. Does he at least pay his own bills (cell phone, car, etc)? I'd think twice about committing to a mortgage…

Fat, flabby upper arms...you'd think it would be my thighs but those, I found over the years, are much easier to conceal.
-
Seriously? That's not a good sign. So, do you live together with your parents or seperatly each with your own parents? Maybe you could try renting an apartment together and see how that goes. It would give you both a taste of "grown-up" living and all the responsiblity it entails without too much financial risk.

Is he goal-oriented in other areas of his life such as his education and/or career? Does he want the same kind of future as you (kids, house in the suburbs or whatever)? Are most of his friends married?

Ummmm...yeah. We met on Myspace..... Love you anyway!!!       :heart:

I was an overweight child. I can remember going skiing for the first (and only) time with my Girl Scout troop. At one point I fell, which wasn't an issue because all the kids were falling. The only problem is that you are suppossed to push yourself up with your poles using only are arm strength....and being roughly a 160…

I had this happen as a teenager...not fun. I know many people here who have had similar experiences. ((hugs))

They figure in your weight don't they? My husband and I often do the exact same routine and he has a higher calorie burn because he weighs more.

I'm looking forward to a total lifestyle makeover (having more confidence, taking more risks, dressing better, trying new things) and losing weight is a huge piece of the puzzle for me.
