Cross train!!! I started training for my half taking place this sunday the 17th (!!! so excited!) while I was also doing cross training and had no problems. I then quit the cross training in the middle of the training program and developped IT band syndrome (painful) and had to take a break and really feared I wouldn't get…

If you google the sweatshop, they have quite a few stores nationwide and they provide free gait analysis and if you purchase a pair of trainers there, you have 30 days to run in them as much as you want and still return them if you're not happy with what they sold you. Good luck!

Initially, 30 lbs but since I've started training for races nothing really. I've found that for me personally, it only helps in weight loss if its a light short run, say 30 mins combined with a light training plan like Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30. Its great for maintaining though. Good luck!

Hi Kelly, Based on a recent personal experience which turned sour, I'd recommend going to have your gait analysis measured and have someone who knows what they're talking about recommend a good shoe for you! I'm having IT band problems due to picking out a snazzy pair of trainers from Sports Direct because they 'looked…

Hang in there. With the shred, its all about the tape measure results and not so much the scale. Take your mesurements if you haven't already done so and just keep working at it. All your hard work will pay off in week 4 when you measure yourself again! Good luck!

I'm currently suffering from this myself - it sucks!!! I've been doing some research and have read somewhere that it can be a side effect of a weak hip so hip strenghtening exercises could help. Also, no hill-work or running on uneven surfaces. Ice, rest and deep-tissue massages are supposed to help. I'm planning on…

take measurements, sometimes the scale isn't moving but you're getting leaner!!!

Congratulations!

Thanks Gav, I've been watching the show and was thinking of checking the book out. Definitely will now! Also, nice t-shirt!

This is what is wrong with the world. Its so nice to see that Kate is healthy both physically and mentally! We need more role-models like her for our daughters! Thats like the criticism of sportswoman Jessica Ennis, who has a 6-pack by the way! Attaching link for those interested:…

Not in Reading but just down the M4 outside Newbury. Also not in my twenties but my mid thirties! Planning on doing the Reading-half next year though! Good luck with the move and settling in! Sending you a friend request :)

You know what I hate? When someone friend requests you with a blank message and then you checkout their profile and they have that message listed themselves!!! Hypocrites :noway:

you set your alarm to 5:30 am so that you can get a run in before the day HAS to start!

Originally from Quebec city (Cap-Rouge) but been living in Europe for a while. Planning on moving back to the Ottawa region in 3 years, I can't wait! Its a good thing there aren't any poutines around this neck of the woods :) Miss you Canada xxx

bump, would defo like to know more and it seems consistent with things that I am struggling with.

I'm in too! Did one round last september and had amazing results! You do have to watch your diet and if you can do some (any) cardio on top of it you'll see even better results! Can't wait to hear all about it on Monday!

RI30 will give you great inch loss results - hang in there! When I did it, hardly lost anything on the scales but boy did I loose inches. If you haven't already, measure yourself and be ready to be blown away when you're done! I have been on this journey for 16 months and the one thing I have learnt is don't give up! Keep…

Whatever your bmi, you're better than me! Well done! I am training for my first run ever, a 10k in May. Super excited about it and I will think of you to help keep me going! Thanks for sharing

I'm just not enjoying workout out that hard. I can run for an hour no problems but I don't like to push myself as hard as you do on this program. Some days, its just a dark cloud hanging over my head until I hit the play button. I'll try anything once but just think that this isn't for me, especially when it makes me want…

Hi insaniacs! I'm just wrapping up w8 and counting down till I'm done with it next week! I definately have the love/hate thing going on with ShaunT!!!

Hi, I'm on W8 D4. For me its a really mixed experience. Loving the results and I feel so strong, but its getting me down and I know I have to turned to food some days to help get me through it (real eye-opener!). I just want to finish what I started to say I did it but I'm pretty sure I'll never do it again. Good luck with…
