OP, I appreciate the post. I'm new here, and have never really tried to lose weight with any seriousness before these past few weeks, so came to this with very little knowledge and a LOT to learn on the weight loss/fitness subject. When I signed up here, I put in my details, and MFP calculated for me my daily calorie goal…

I had it in March and it lasted for 3 weeks, I was getting really worried! I ached all over every day for 2 weeks and felt worse rather than better each day which was worrying, but after the 3rd week, I suddenly realised I felt a bit more normal. I tried to rest as much as possible and took vitamin supplements. The cough…

I wouldn't get on the scale tomorrow, get back on the horse, make sure you drink plenty fluid tomorrow and wait a week. I had a burger king as an Easter treat last week, and got back to healthy the next day, then waited a week before getting on the scale, as I knew I would obsess and just feel bad if I'd gained any weight…

I would maybe do a little research on food allergies and intolerances. I have gluten and dairy intolerance, and before I discovered this could never really lose any weight. I'm not suggesting that you specifically will have these, it may be something else, but it wouldn't hurt to check out that avenue of thought. I see the…

Good point, thank you, yes option 4 sounds about right to me. He does grocery shopping most days before he heads home, supermarket is right next to his work, so I'm not in control of that, but I am in control of what I put in my mouth. I don't like to be a boring killjoy though, so sometimes I will indulge him a little.…

 I'm with you on option3! That gave me a giggle  Option 1 was so funny!

I get you, but I was worried that if he's not, then it wouldn't go down so well if I accuse him! I think a couple weeks wait and see may bring it to light, then if it happens again, I shall ask him then and there, rather than bringing it up and making it sound too serious! I guess I just worry if I'm wrong!

Thank's everyone for the replies and good advice, I appreciate that, good to be able to run it by others and see what an outside take on things is. Sorry for slow reply, I have all 3 boys still on school holidays and the weather is not great so they're running around the house! I like this, that's a great idea, I have…

BUMP I've been wondering the same, I was quite surprised that one banana and an alpro soya yogurt were enough to exceed sugar recommended for the day! I have just decided to ignore it as it's from fruit and yogurt in my case so it can't be that bad. I'd love to hear what someone else's thoughts are on this who knows more…

I have a Galaxy SIII and I love it. Have been using it a year now, before that a blackberry curve, and before that iphone. Won't use anything other than Samsung now, Apple products are too limited, and I made my choice after discovering that the sound quality on my ipod nano was in fact much inferior to the sansa disc clip…

Just when I had shared my thoughts on my gluten /dairy intolerance this morning whilst filling in my food diary, I come across this thread! I am gluten/dairy intolerant and also have allergies to eggs, all nuts, and various birch tree derived fruits such as apples, pears, cherries, peaches etc. I've been tested by my…

Hey ladies, I will have to check out that link, a lot of good pointers here. I haven't yet started any specific exercise program yet, my plan for the moment is purely to sort out my diet, my downfall has been grazing throughout the day on sugary snacks and not stopping to think about what I'm putting in my mouth! I'm…

bump I'd love to hear of a success story for this issue. I'm 5'6 weight of 168lbs, and have had 3 boys, the 1st two within 13 months of each other back to back. I am a natural apple shape and my weight all goes on my torso. My legs arms and face seem to look ok, it's the belly that stores all the excess fat, and I'm…

21lbs is a fantastic loss! Well done, what a great start to your journey. I'm just beginning, week 4 I think and have just noticed some small changes, very exciting! Keep up the good work, I can see a difference in your upper body

Ahhh sushi! My favourite! That's interesting you say about the Flu symptoms, that was originally how I discovered my Gluten intolerance. For ages after my youngest son was born I just felt like I had Flu coming on with all the fuzzy head and body/limbs aching every single day which always came on at dinner time! I had put…

Hey guys, thanks for replies, Dragonnade that made me giggle with the worth it/not worth it comment! I am loving this site as it really helps me think about what I'm putting in my mouth every day and I am really enjoying being "back on the wagon" with keeping control of the foods that I'm intolerant to. It's tricky when…
