I have always wondered this as well. I say that you make up your own "races" and tell people you ran the "insert name here" half marathon. 13.1 is 13.1 race or no race. Congrats on your accomplishments!

I just found out what IIFYM meant yesterday and I am doing it. I don't refuse certain types of food or skip dessert or snacks, as long as I am in my daily MFP calorie goal then I consider it a good day. Find a way to figure out your average pace then enter it as the amount of time at that pace. Most paces can be found in the database under MPH. Good luck with C25K!

This. 1000 calories is ridiculously low and 800 seems like starving yourself. What is your current height and weight? I know that if I ate only 800 calories a day I would not be able to function. Maybe find a happy medium, like around 1200 or 1300?

From what I understand which is not much because I think they are a load of you know what...they basically reduce your water weight. So you don't lose fat really...just water. I may be wrong, but that is my understanding. I think anything that is a "quick fix" is a waste of time and money but to each their own I guess.

I am sure you have heard this and it is annoying but true...it took 9 months to gain so it will take that long or longer to lose. It doesn't happen over night. Just keep at it and you can do it!
