I'm lazy, I often eat my pizza cold. No danger of burning.

What's wrong with fruit juices from Australia? It contains carb and sugar like juices from any other country.

I don't think anyone wants to sleep less by choice. If I have the option I'd like to sleep more. Hell, I sleep more whenever I have the chance, like during weekends and holidays. But, if the choice is between putting in an hour workout or sleep an hour more, it's not so easy.

So, basically not enough sleep increases your appetite. If I have enough self control and follow a calorie deficit plan, then appetite is not a problem, right? If lack of sleep reduces your rate of metabolism, then we have a bigger issue.

This is always tough. On one hand I'm not willing to support someone's decision to remain fat, and I'm aware of the reality that most of us would quietly prefer not to see a 350 lbs woman in a string bikini, when given a choice. On the other hand being fat is not illegal, and what other people wear is solely their…

To actually gain 2 lbs of fat you need a surplus of 7000 calories in 10 days, which is 700 extra calories a day. There's no way your body actually runs a surplus of 700 when you only eat around 1600 a day. My weight fluctuates by 2-5 lbs between morning and evening, so your 2 lbs is not a big deal. It's very likely to be…

There's no age limit, but if you're 40 and dresses like 14 (even if it fits) you will look weird. Like it or not your choice in clothing represents your personality.

BillyMays0. Just kidding.

Ever since I successfully lost some weight, several people at the office have come to me and ask how I did it. If they share that they're also making the same journey I would get preachy at times, but rarely. I completely shut my mouth toward those who show no interest in getting healthier.

How do you get taller?

What matters is that the numbers we have are accurate enough for the purpose. They might not be accurate to the last digit, or even the last two digits, but they're still close enough for me to get a calorie deficit.

Not that hard for me if I want to. My progress had been steady for a while, so when I took a break to spend time with family and relax, I just need to calculate my theoretical progress and subtract the actual one. But, I'm not doing that. I'm losing weight and getting fit because I want to spend higher quality of life with…

This. I don't see anyone insisting that to be feminine is to be muscular, none. People are just expressing their disagreement to the OP's notion that sporting well-defined muscles is not feminine.

You look good as you are, but I understand that you want to look even better, probably close to a fitness model. I suggest you slowly lose 10 lbs and see how you look at that point. If you don't look sufficiently lean, then take the other 6 lbs. Needless to say you need to do strength training the whole time, and flip to…

I smack the *kitten* without opening the door, so I musta been doing it wrong.

It's all the carbon atoms you exhaled while you slept... or something like that...

Whooa, we're in fat acceptance already? That was quick...

A nice guy is often confused with a pushover. Few ladies like a pushover.
-
In street clothes from 100 yards they might not appear to be different. From this distance in a bikini the lady on the right is clearly bigger. So what's the story? She's trying to convince you that the difference is hardly noticeable?

Three months of calorie restriction and exercise brought my trig level to normal.

I think the hunger has more to do with your stress level than actual calorie requirement. Studying is stressful. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/06/080615142252.htm

Video games don't cheapen killing more than violent movies do. I used to play FPS games for years; if you count the number of 'people' I killed in game they would be in the hundreds of thousands, because I was pretty good at it. This doesn't make me a violent person, the thought of actually killing a human being is still…

Since a pound of fat is 3500 calories, you need about 1250 calories of deficit per day to lose 2.5 lbs a week. If you're getting that deficit from exercise alone, you'll need to run the equivalent of a half marathon every single day. If you take half of it in calorie restriction (about 600 calories), you will need to run a…

Very sad. I do hope that these punks get to spend the rest of their lives in prison. If a free life is boring, they will find prison unbearable.

Nicer running shoes.

A very nice and thoughtful reply. I agree, it's no use to perpetuate the vicious cycle of insults.

Two pounds of weight gain can easily be explained by water retention and difference in weighing time. When I start a new workout and get really sore, I am guaranteed to add weight due to my body retaining some water for recovery. My weight used to fluctuate by about five pounds between morning and evening. What I suggest…

If you read the thread carefully, you will see that everybody basically agrees that it works, it's just overpriced and unsustainable unless you're willing to buy it for the rest of your life. The OP asked a question, so people answer. If you don't like the answers, nobody is making you read it. Nobody here is commanding…

If you have never exercised before, using body weight will build you muscle up to a certain point. After that you will need to use progressively heavier weight to go further. When you eat at a deficit it's slow and tough to build muscle, and when the deficit is large it's virtually impossible. As a woman (unless you're…

If I exercise 500 calories off I'm going to eat back most of it, lest I will suffer the next day when I run/lift again. Maybe this is because weight loss is not my only goal, I also want to be fitter, stronger, and more muscular.
