Can't stop laughing. This is the best thread I've seen in a while.

Update: We are now cooking healthy alternatives together. Great for bonding and for the waist. :D Exercise is still a hurdle, but he is willing to do it with me sometimes. One time, he even thanked me for it and kicked my butt! It was great because I wanted to give in, but he pushed me further than I thought I could…

Hahah. We are in the same boat.

I think I should switch mine to sedentary because I'm a full-time student, reading all day. However, I've had it set to lightly active before because I used to work more (walking up and down hallways, assisting elderly with ADLs) . That, and on other days, I'm hiking around campus with my big ol' backpack. But seriously,…

Way to go everyone! I love reading these. I have two non-scale victories, but one isn't even a fitness related one. My first non-scale victory is that I managed to suck it up and go to the gym today even on minimal sleep. I jogged for thirty minutes on the treadmill then pedaled for fifteen on the spin bike. I can tell…

That size eleven equals obese. THAT SIZE ELEVEN EQUALS OBESE. That a clothing size indicates your health and activity level.

I am addicted to Lean Cuisine's herb chicken with broccoli florets. That is all.

Oh, thank you. I guess I read or saw the actual calender for it somewhere. I didn't know that it was primarily an app. That's not exactly helpful though for me since I have a dumb phone instead of a smart one.

I would love some friends as I see myself in a lot of you. When I was in high school, I was pretty thin. This is because I was on swim team. I dreaded the beginning of every practice because we had to run. I was always pretty slow and very out-of-breath. I think this is mostly because I didn't know how to breathe or pace…

This. is. amazing. I too am a product of the South. My boyfriend and I are geeks though: we enjoy racing games (like nascar simulators), go karts, and drifting. I feel that it would be hilarious if we raced like you do. At least we won't be bored!

For a second, I was thinking, "What's wrong with looking like either of them?" ;P OOOH. HEADBANDS. ...I have a problem with getting sweat in my eyeball too. I thought my long lashes might help, but nooo. I end up just looking like a pirate for the rest of the workout, grimacing and going, "YARG!!!!!"

THANK YOU. I sometimes just want to go live out in the country where I'm not as bombarded by 'perfect' bodies telling me that I'm not good enough. I felt more at ease when in the mountains, surrounded by normal folks. Also, I'm in my 20's and envious of the marine training--wish I could run 10 without a second thought. :)

Definitely could give it a try. I've recently moved and can attend my school's gym at minimal cost as it's already included with tuition. And you can argue that I could also have access to weights as well. Buut, I just get nervous around all the men there. It's not their fault--could be the friendliest guys in the world.…

How did everyone decide to get on board? I say this, because my family is not supportive in the slightest.

What kind of HRM are you guys using? I only see these watch ones, which seem like a rip off because you have to touch it the entire time to see your hr and the calorie burn was way off. Anyway, looking up to you guys as some inspiration for getting through the Insanity workouts.

"Focus on the change, you always see results." I think that's my favorite part about all this. While I'm definitely not has hardcore as the OP, I like seeing tiny changes. Maybe a line near the bicep. Maybe a more tight looking tummy. Maybe being able to do something I could not previously do at all. Small things.

Hahhaha. No, child. You have not mastered the complexities of the final boss yet. You're about mid-way, but kudos for getting this far. The problem with this world is that what women really want during that time is to be peaceful. We just want to be by ourselves listening to calming background music surrounded by fluffy…

Amen. All the models in them are like 7 ft tall and 100. I'm sitting there thinking, "Are these only for tall folks"? I WANNA LOOK ELEGANT TOO!
-
I think you're beautiful. I'm young. I don't have kids. Yet, I wish I could look like you--you have very nice facial features if your picture is anything to go by.

I want to hog up time on Earth as long as possible.

Wow. Just got back from work, but thanks for all the awesome feedback. To those that posted pictures, I'm drooling. That's what I'm aiming for.

YES. So, I should try Insanity? Also, I used to play DDR. I wasn't ever really good though. I felt that the jump from light-standard was a bit ridiculous (light=too boring standard=barely passing) on my favorite songs. Unfortunately, my favorite songs had something like a million beats per minute and I would just get lost…

A lot lower than that to the point where I dun wanna post (but I'm going to suck it up and post anyway even though you guys are gonna laugh, but I was TONING), but the main point is that I'm improving. I used to use 3's and get sore, but keep in mind that it was circuit training and using multiple muscle groups--upper and…

:) I'm proud of you. They're just givin' you grief on terminology. I say, if it's beneficial and you feel great, go for it!

I like this one.

This one has to be the best one yet.....Let me clarify something to you since you seem to know every thing in all your 18 yrs of life. I have been very over weight...i am not any more...I try to to the right things every day food and health wise. I cook for this man healthy every day. He is almost 400 lbs with severe…

Nice. You look completely different. :D How clean are we talking? I'm kind've feeling badly for eating 1/4 of a donut. Also, what kind've workouts do you do?
-
I feel kinda badly. I recently bought a HRM that calculates calorie burn. I did Jillian Michael's new video, Hard Body, which really hurts. It said it only burned about 68 calories per 45 minutes. What gives? Maybe because it was more toning than cardio? Idungetit. Then, some people say they walk leisurely and burn about…

Thank you so much! This thread is perfect! The HRM can only estimate though since we're all different sizes and at different fitness levels. The calorie burns will be different, of course.

Doing weird body weight exercises in a dressing room to pass the time waiting on a friend instead of hating myself and sulking in front of a mirror. (confidence as well as a boredom killer) I think one of the things I like most is that I'm more observant of little changes in my body--in other words, being more in tune with…
